xcellent well put together dvd

Now this is how a dvd is supposed to be. Although this s.e. is a few dollars more this is one of those few instances where the extra cash is worth it. The audio commentary track is excellent with good insight into the movie, and an excellent mix of wit and wisdom. The deleted scenes are extraordinary , and they also come with audio commentary. this disk also includes a music video (miss misery theme song) as well as behind the scenes extras. This disk is well worth the price and then some. As for the movie itself its awsome in dvd with excellent picture and sound quality. This movie is a defenit must have, this is acting when it seems real and from the heart, probably cause Damon and Affleck wrote it and knew how to act the part. This deserves 10********** stars.

The original Kill Bill (...well, sort of...) ?

Take the swordplay out of "Kill Bill" and add a heaping cup of creepiness and you've got Ms.45: a helluva flick about a woman done wrong --REALLY WRONG-- who gets so much revenge you'll be afraid to look almost any female in the eye. This is not a film about a relationship (as "Kill Bill" was) but rather a hardcore film about lonely vengeance. It a slowly maddening spiral into the private hell of the ultimate victim. On one hand it will leave you cheering for her (feels so good to see male sex monsters get what's coming to them) and on the other hand you will be left screaming innocent men to run for their frickin' lives! This is a great flick. The perfect female "Death Wish". It was captivating from start to finish. Sexy, disturbing, and wild-eyed. The fact that it is dripping with 70's styles and sounds and ambience just made it all the more surreal to me. If you want a simple movie with a deep complex terror that will leave it's mark right between your eyes, you gotta see "Ms.45"!

By Grapthar's Hammer, You Shall Be....LAUGHING!

Galaxy Quest is a good movie. It manages to parody Star Trek and science fiction fans and be an exciting adventure story at the same time. The convention scenes are truly funny. Unfortunately, while I like Tim Allen, he gets upstaged more often than not. Sigourney Weaver is great, playing her part perfectly. She also has some of the best lines in the movie.
The quality of the DVD is great. The special features are good, except the the 'sneak preview' which is an advertisement for some recent theatrical releases.
A movie worth seeing.

Episode III-Revenge of Lucas

Episode III was the best of the three prequels, and in my opinion only second best to Epidsode VI, Return of the Jedi. While many fans were disappointed with the stories in Episodes I and II, I think Lucas really hit the nail on the head with this one. It had a great story line and great effects, and by the end of the movie the tracks are laid for Episode IV, A New Hope. It was exciting and suspenseful, and even though I knew how it had to end, the path to that end kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. This was an absolutely phenomenal movie by itself, and the fact that it has five brothers to go with it makes it even better.

Finally, what the fans REALLY want

"Leatherface-The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III" is the highly under rated sequel to the original 1973 classic. I am giving it the highest stars possible because it has been unfairly raked over the coals by everyone from the MPAA, critics, bored housewives and even New Line producers themselves. The story (I admit isn't to original) is that acouple of kids are dtetoured off the main road in Texas and end up as supper for Leatherface and his demented new family (which includes future star Viggo Mortensen). This movie almost ignores all the movies that have come before it and trys to imagin a new myth for Leatherface, but it dosn't quiet work. Now, in the new DVD version of this movie has a thirty minute making of documentery, in which the director (Jeff Burr) and the line producers talk about what the experience was like, their fights with the producers about the level of gore and tone of the violence, which was pretty mean spirited, especially the cute little nine year old girl having so much fun dropping a sledgehammer on a young man's head. The script was written by noted splatter punk novelist David J. Schow, and apperaently only about half of the violence he wrote made it into the film. Ladies and gentlemen, this is "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" we're talking about here, ok. It was never supposed to be high art. People who go to watch these movies are expecting to be grossed out and a little sick. So why was "Leatherface" butchered so bad? Yes, I understand it had to have an 'R' rating. And so I am glad that this DVD was relesed, with an unrated version of the movie, so now the ghouls can have their movie at last.

I'm sorry but this movie was just plain awful. There were holes in the storyline and editing that were so big you almost thought they had never really finished it as originally written and planned but just cut together whatever footage was available so that it could be released.

A Great Classic

This movie was made in 1956, and is still great today! It has a gripping story (based on the Old Testament Biblical account of Moses beginning in Egypt). This epic stars Charlton Heston, Yule Brenner and a literal cast of thousands. It is a movie classic you and your family will want to watch again and again.

It's Wonderful!

I didn't really think I'd like this movie but I was wrong. I absolutely loved it. I rented it and then as soon as I finished watching it I went out and bought it. I loved the music, the costumes, and the story. The acting was really great also. I've lost count of how many times I've watched it.

A rare treat

This movie is a treasure! When I first saw it in the theater I fell in love with it. What makes it so special are the subtle comic nuances and foreshadowing. The direction of the film is fantastic. Even the smallest characters all contribute to the story as it progresses.
If you liked "Waking Ned Devine" you'll love this film.
