underappreciated

okay i saw this movie in theaters four times and went to the very first showing and the crowd erupted with applause and cheers at the all familar fox and star wars fanfare.star wars represents unity and that what has excited me..now let us go down the list of what the buzz has said.
1) okay if everything was explained in episode one why do we need a two and three...plus don't you people have imagination? i mean it is supposed to attract you to see the other movies ans besides we all know how it ends why do you want everything solved so immediately..i have enjoyed pondering the what if's and ummmmmmm's of te questions this movie has ledt me and have let my imagination run wild until i think that i have it figured out.
2) sure it is not gonna live up to ten years of hype but come on if you take episode one and compare it to episode four i think you have a far more engaging film action wise and you seem to get more invloved....i rememeber i thought luke was too whiney at the beginning but loved him later...so if you quit comparing one film to three then maybe you will see what you have missed.
3) jar jar- was every bit comic relief and enjoyable.so what if he sound jamacian.jamacian accents are cool and it shows use clumsy people that us too can accomplish big feats.
4) many adults did not like this film because of the age of the characters while i admit that is why i did not praticlarly care for jake lloyd...some parts were overacted...i did like natalie portman and hopefully with them older in the next film people will get into there characters more.since people like to go to the movies and lose themselves..
overall the movie was not a let down once i surpassed my own hype and let my imagination once again take control.sure there was some unbelievable stuff but no big deal..in the star wars universe anything goes..do i have questions about contridictions sure..but my faith is on lucas he knows what he is doing...so come on i surpassed my great un realistic expectations can you?

Great Show! Horrible Commentary

I really enjoy this show. Its captivating on many levels, believe the hype. The new platinum dvd looks and sounds great but I was a little peeved by the commentary. Is it just me or does anyone else find 2 guys yapping on and on about what other shows they acted on and how the episodes were recorded at all captivating? For such a important show as Evangelion you would expect a commentary that might at least once mention the characters, plot, or design. Perhaps someone who studies anime might have gave us some more depth. Nope. Instead we get two full episodes of completely boring facts. Sorry, Just a small bone to pick.

SHOCKINGLY GREAT PPV!!!

Jeff Hardy vs. Chris Jericho- Great Opener. Fast Paced. Winner: Chris Jericho *****stars.
Raw Tag Title MatchRegal and Storm vs. Rob Van Dam and Kane- Good Tag Match, but I've seen the same match 1000 times on Raw.Winners: Regal and Storm ***stars.
Cruiserweight Title MatchBilly Kidman vs. Matt Hardy- Good Match. I've become a little MF'er.Winner: Matt Hardy ****stars
The Undertaker vs. The Big Show- The Taker was great and the Big Show Sucks! But this match was the best match in the Big Show's career! Taker did a Triangle Choke for the finish.Winner: The Undertaker ****stars
Team Angle vs. Chris Benoit and Brock Lesnar- Best Match of the night!!! A wrestling clinic.Winners: Benoit and Lesnar *****stars
Raw World Title MatchHHH vs. Scott Steiner- Horrible match, but it was leaps and bounds above their Royal Rumble debacle.Winner: HHH **stars
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Eric Bischoff- Stone Cold whipped Eric Bischoff's ass and stunned him no less than 4 times. It's good to have Austin back.Winner: Stone Cold Steve Austin *****stars
The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan- The rematch we've all been waiting for did not disappoint. Hogan and the Rock pummled each other from Pillar to Post. Great Screwjob angle at the end.Winner: The Rock *****stars
Only 1 match on this PPV was bad, but if you watch it once and then skip it whenever you watch the PPV again, it is a 5 star PPV. Hogan-Rock II did not disappoint. And Austin returned to a thunderous ovation. It overshadowed Hogan's ovation.

Get Backers

Very good DVD series of what Ive seen so far. Comes with 5 episodes per disc which makes it worth the money usually. Action is good, and the characters are cool. Id recommend this series to anyone. I love it being in widescreen and having 5.1 surround. Makes the experience all that much better if you are into high detail/end anatmation, and sound systems like I am.

A great movie all the way through!

This movie was absolutely awesome. I was on the edge of my seat for the whole movie, trying to figure it out, and at the end I fell off of my seat. Brad Pitt plays a great villain, and Edward Norton does a great job as Mr. Rational...

Happy Times with "Three's Company"

As a child of immigrants growing up in the US, life was always difficult. However, coming home to watch "Three's Company" always managed to put a smile on our faces. John's constant humor, his eneregy, his jokes always made us laugh. John's passing came suddenly. The release of this DVD (and many more to come I hope) is definetly a tribute to one of the funniest and hard working comedians of our time. Rest in Peace John. Thanks for all the laughs! Your passing is truly, as DeWitt said, "a great loss to the joy in the world."

There's Something About Mary - movie DVD cover picture
One of the reasons to own a DVD player

This DVD is one of the reasons you own a DVD player. Not only is the movie fantastic, but the audio commentary track by the Farraly (sp?) brothers is fantastic. Hearing them talk about how they made the movie, who's in it, etc. is almost better than simply watching the movie. Somehow they managed to put tons of their friends in the movie. They've even got their dog in there.
Anyone that doesn't like the comedy of this movie is probably a little uptight and politically correct. The fact that this movie was so commercially successful shows that there is a silent backlash to the political correctness cancer sweeping America.
Chill out, listen to the Farraly brothers explain why they have handicap gags, and enjoy the laughs!
