Truly one of the greatest films ever made

A truly great work of art can change the way you see the world. Offhand I can think of only a handfull of films that have so affected me: 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, CITIZEN KANE and VERTIGO, to name but a few. Add to that list DAYS OF HEAVEN. It's hard to believe now, but this was only the second film director Terence Malick ever made (after BADLANDS, another great one). Most directors go through their whole career and never come close to making a movie this awesome. I cannot rave enough about DAYS OF HEAVEN. Just see it. Trust me on this -- if you have any real appreciation at all for great cinema (or great art, period) you will not be disappointed.

Sailor Moon says don't get the movie dubbed!

Don't get this movie dubbed, it horrible! Even DiC did better. The annoying voice actors came back, too much stuff was cut out, and Chibi Usa called Usagi Moon mama! They took out moon revenge. The subbed version was excellent. You have to see the Japanese version to think its better than dub. This dub is edited. If you want to see the original get sub. If you want to see cut get the dub. I'm warning you, The dub is horrible. Plus they have those names, What kind of name is Lita? Or Rini? It sounds too close to weenie! Trust me get the subbed. You'll be happy you did.

Cardcaptor Sakura - The Clow (Vol. 1) - movie DVD cover picture

I was so bored always watching the dubbed version. But this version is so much better. And I have no regrets for wasting my money!! The theme song is so great{a million times better than the Cardcraptors one}. And the ending theme song is great too. I just wish the scenery wasn't so boring, since it's just Kero running around the world. The Saint Tail scenery was even better{not that I'm saying the ending theme of ST was better than the ending theme of CCS}.In the first episode:We meet Sakura Kinomoto, a was-normal 4th grader, her father Fujitaka and her brother Toya. Sakura finds a book called The Clow, which is filled with cards, in her basement. She says a card name{windy}and all the cards fly away. Then a little plush toy named Kero tells Sakura she must capture the other cards. Sakura faces her first challenge in capturing the fly card.In the second episode:Sakura's friend Tomoyo finds out about kero and Sakura's magic. The shadow card is up to no good in Sakura's school. In the third episode:The Watery card is causing mischief at an aquarium by trying to drown people. In the fourth episode:Sakura can't go on a picnic with Tomoyo because she has to stay home and do chores all day. Sakura finds two Clow cards that cause some damage around her house. This series would be great for teens to start getting. Highly recommended.

The Greatest One of All!

I do believe we all love Disney movies...I do not know how anyone could not. They are normally love stories (which I love), but that is not all that there is to it. These movies are animated, but don't you think that they aren't any good. I think they are some of the best movies around! Oh and yes they are created for children, but that doesn't mean you won't enjoy them. In fact, I enjoy them just as much now as I did when I was young, if not more. The older ones are better though. I do not really like the ones that have come out just recently (The Hunchback of Notre Dame, etc.).Beauty and The Beast is a classic story of a "beast" and a beautiful woman who comes to love the beast for who he is inside, not just what he looks like on the outside...kind of like judging a book from its cover. This is something we can all learn from. When she first meets him, he is quite mean. But with time, he grows and a wonderful creature emerges from deep within. This is probably my favorite Disney movie. My favorite scene is when she is wearing that gold's just so beautiful. Everyone loves love stories; everyone loves Disney movies--so when you combine the two you get some of the best movies ever created! I would highly reccommend this movie--adults too!

This is the greatest movie!!!!!!!!

I wasn't sure at first if I wanted to watch this movie. My sister had rented the dvd version and I was going to read a book but I decided to watch it with her. I had seen the first movie of dune and I had not understood it at all. I couldn't even get what the movie was about. When I saw the sci fi channel's version of it I was greatly surprised. I could understand exactly what was happening. I loved it and couldn't be torn away from it until it was over. I bought the dvd version when we went to return the one we had rented and I still watch it all the time. I am so hooked on it that I even got the books and I have just finished the first one and I am now on the second. I think that William Hurt played a great Leto and that Paul's character is very cute ^-^ and fascinating. I love this movie and I hope that you will buy it or at least rent it to watch. It is amazing!

Shiva is a Diva.......

I have to agree with all reviews. This DVD is magical, well produced, has beautiful scenery. Shiva has a calming wonderful voice. The choice of 4 practices from easy to hard is wonderful. The music is great. And again, the matrix is ingenious. It is like having a ton of DVD's in one because you can mix and match all day long to create custom workouts. I do agree with others that the transitions from one segment to another could be more discreet and the white screen is annoying but you should be so relaxed and far into focus that it is not noticeable after awhile. I love, love, this DVD and I have a ton of yoga dvd's. Hemalaya Behl is one of my favorites but Shiva Diva has moved into first place. Can not say enough about this DVD. The scenery is captivating and along with the sound of the ocean you feel swept away into another world. WONDERFUL!!!! I hope Shiva makes more DVD's like this one. I will be the first in line to buy another one.

High class, well made, cinematic masterpiece!

I like this movie very much. However I got really upset when I realized some ninkompoup has cut it in an absolutely unbelieveable way. It is claimed it is not rated, but displays an "R" and a bit smaller a "PG" and a "DP" rating. it stinks. I like comlete movies and I believe if anybody does any cutting it must be mentioned very clearly. I suggest if you like the original don't buy this version

The Flintstones - The Complete First Season - movie DVD cover picture

Needless to say I was truly thrilled when Warner Bros. announced the release of this animated classic!!! I had purchased a few vhs versions of The Flintstones from Columbia House, which was a total rip off, considering they were charging over $20.00 for only 4 episodes per tape! You really get more for your money when tv-shows are released on dvd season sets!
The first season of the Flinstones is pure perfection with classic episodes like, Fred suspecting Wilma of being in love with another man, the Cary Grant type detective with the funny walk is priceless, Fred becoming a Elvis like teen idol "Listen to the Marking Bird!,& Fred singing in the band with Hot Lips Hannigan!!! I can't wait to own the entire six seasons!!!
