Die Another Day (Widescreen Special Edition) - movie DVD cover picture

This 20th Bond is clearly one of the top ones. I don't know if it was as good as goldfinger but it sure is close. Die Another Day has it all. Good gagets, good cars, good girls. This movie has one of the best stories. I loved it!

Old film but memorized very much.

In Japan NeverEnding Story was roadshowed at that time. Because I was 8 years old, couldn't understand the movies that had difficult story. On the other hand, as the age was young, had the eyes that could feel fantasy stories purely, that is, had the pure mind that could feel what bravery or challenging etc was wonderful thing. When I was a adult now, having such a thinking is difficult, that is, when think about [bravery or challenging], in mind needless thinkings are added, resignation, fear, uneasy etc..
I was happy that can watch this film when was child.Recently I watched the film on TV aggain after an interval of twenty years. But even if I am a adult, the moving mind remained, I was moved very much again as I was a boy. For instance when the horse sinked into a marsh, I that was child cried, and when I watched the scene again on TV, I have the emotion of the sorrow.
when we get to be adults, in many meaning we lose the mind that we had in children age, for instance, passion, trial, tenderness etc. Because we are followed by time, money, benefit etc, tend to forget such important things.
But by watching the movies, I feel that got such mind again in addition to have remembered the scenery of my child age.
Thank you for reading poor English.

All That, and a Box of Chocolates.

"FORREST GUMP"(One of my favorite movies) is an uplifting, heartwarming, and heartbreaking, experience, where you see the whole wide world through the eyes of a man who's never seen it before, and hardly understands it.Through my opinion, "FORREST GUMP" deserved every Oscar it won(Except for one). Tom Hanks(With his back-to-back Oscars) had been amazingly convincing(What, with his accent and all), but I found it nearly absurd that he was chosen over the even more amazingly convincing, Morgan Freeman, in "THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION"(Also one of my favorite movies). While watching this epic for the first time I laughed and cried, nearly at the same time. This movie is awe-inspiring, and though it is PG-13, I wouldn't reccomend this to a kid 10 or under. The special features on the DVD look interesting and I might buy it someday on DVD, but for now, I'm sticking with what I originally had, the VHS.

Fun and Very Enjoyable!

The first thing I have to say is 'If you've seen the movie you've read the book.' That is how closely they are related. But still, If you've enjoyed this movie-no questions asked-read the book! It's perfect for all ages and a good read aloud book as well. It has everything the movie has and more background on each of the characters too. But anyways, this movie is really fun and I have proudly made it a part of my DVD collection. This movie will catch the intrest of a variety of age groups-and if you are a teacher it is a good movie to share with your class weather it's 2nd grade or 8th (I remember my 8th grade science teacher giving us a break and showing it to us.) So there you have it-Watch the movie-read the book and live happily ever after.

This is one great video of golden era jazz.

The samplings are wonderful[esp. Willie the Lion Smith and Sarah Vaughn],but the commentary does justice to all the included muscians as well as the history of jazz in general.I could watch this video ten times in ten days and not get tired of it.

Best version of Dracula EVER

Frank Langella brings the role to life with such character that you actually find yourself liking the character and not wanting him to lose! Doctor Who fans; Sylvester McCoy (Doctor #7) plays a small part as one of the orderlies in the insane asylum. Haven't seen the DVD yet, in fact have had a really hard time tracking this great film down!

shaky is the future of action films!

OK, first of all, about the shaky cam thing, listen to most peeps in here, it does hurt and maybe even make you fuzzy... while only watching it IN THEATER! especially if you are sitting in the front rows while the big screen merely fit inisde your eye size, and yes it did make me feel fuzzy after watching it like 1/2 an hour. BUt seriously, seriously! while watching it on DVD at home, all those problems was not only gone, what exchange was the superior feeling watching a 1 1/2 relatively short film with awesome sense of speed pace film! especailly the last car chase scene, omg, i was entirely blown away, simply ask yourself when did u ever see such wildly car run and clash anywhere in film making? there were so many car scenes out there, but as long as I can remember, none really give that kindda impression like this one, that 10 mins long scene was comprehene in a way merely words can describe how impressive it is, you really need to look for yourself so you can believe, also the bg music catch it just right to make that emotional climax, this is the best action motion picture in 2004. On a personal note, I think the shaky cam thing will get more popular in the future whether some close minds like it not. It's not a trick, it serve a true nature as how we human eyes see things when it involves action. Realize this, start from day 1 when we watch movie, camera stay static is standard for 99% of flims, but none actually ask the question does really serve the real nature of how we look at things, while you are playing ball, or simply doing any sport, looking things staticly is the last thing would happen, while things run in high speed, they looked shaky, period, just because the history of film making never bothered to put that into the equation and somewhat so we people were educated to look at films with static camera shots cannot take away the logic of how we look at things normally, you just need to be more open in this movie, it doesnt even shake on every second, it only happen while there r actions involved if you look carefully. watch it with Identity it wont go wrong.
