probably the most talented grunge band there ever was

If you have a DVD player and you like rock music, I recommend this DVD. If you have a Dolby Digital 5.1 system, go buy it right now! Regardless of where your musical interests lie, you'll enjoy this disc. My mom, who would normally despise the music of a band like AIC, actually digged this concert! I was visiting home one day and popped it in the player. The second she heard it, she was hooked! Even my dad, who is a classically trained violinist and usually pretty skeptical about any form of pop or modern rock music, enjoyed it. And, of course, if you're already an Alice in Chains fan, it's a no brainer. It's not a flawless performance (Layne may be slightly out of tune or Jerry might hit a wrong note every once in a while), but believe me - you won't be disappointed.

Love these quick effective workouts!!!!

I love this series, especially the power beauty sweat. I loved how she eases into side plank and into the hip opener where the knees are stacked on top of each other! I hate both of those moves, but felt prepared for them. She needs to do that with other hard moves.

Even though the videos are only twenty minutes long, you feel like you have gotten a very good workout. I will definitely be looking for more of her videos to purchase.

Close to the Pinnacle

Mayazaki reached the pinnacle of his art in SPIRITED AWAY, but this film was the prophesy. This is not a film for apolitical people, nor is it a movie for those who prefer their films to be wrapped neatly and tucked thematically. The destruction of the earth is not a poetic vision, but a fact. Mayazake understands the fact of worldwide environmenal dissolution by the responsiblke manner in which he addresses the issue.
This is his first truly beautiful film, one in which the landscape and characters possess immediacy and plausibility. The musical score is sensational and the voice-dubs work more effectively than I imagined. This is a movie about the destruction of the world -- viewed through the eyes of liberals and conservatives. The concludion of the film will haunt you and make you suspicious of partisan formulas for interpreting life-saving issues. Very fine and more than worth double its price.

Worthy Retrospective of the Greatest Ever

With dynamic menus, loads of bonus features and 5 full videos, "Ultimate Jordan" is the ultimate compilation and a great value. It doesn't have everything (i'd like to see the 6 Bulls' Chamionship videos on one DVD), but what it does have is spectacular! The 2 disk set includes:
Disk 1: * "Come Fly With Me" - an excellent retrospective of Jordan's early career from high school to young NBA superstar
*"MJ's Playground" - corny, but anything with MJ hilights is worth watching
* "MJ Airtime" - a very candid Jordan shows the controversies and frustrations that led to his 1st retirement as the Bulls vie to repeat their 1st championship
Disk 2:
* "MJ Above and Beyond" - chronicles MJ's 'comeback'-his return to basketball after a brief fling with baseball
* "MJ: His Airness" - alot of repeated sections from the other videos, but puts it all together from beginning to end
* Special Features - Greatest Dunks/Moves/Clutch Shots/Assists; Great Memories; Music video; 'Its gotta be the shoes' (video); Career Timeline; Slam Dunk Contest Hilights
Also check out "Jordan to the Max" on DVD.

Baird was the better then Frakes or Carson.....

In all honesty, I have to disagree with what the "trek" reviewers said about Baird. He was (and is) a very capilble director. He has a more experienced resume when it comes to movies and is not limited to just one genre of films, the other TNG directors can not say that. There was a decision made when this movie was green lighted at Paramount to use a new face and a new direction on this new Star Trek movie and it was a wise choice as you can see from the fact that TNG movies did rather poorly at the box office as seen in the last three movies. These were all made by people who had all been with TNG since 1987, and the time had come for them to step aside as they had not shown that they could do Star Trek in movie form. A lot of key production personal on this movie were new and it made Star Trek exciteing as a movie again. This was the only movie that had a TOS feel to it, and that is what good Star Trek stories are all about. I think the whole agruements against Baird are absurd,

Extremely Powerful

This brutal, unflinching portrait of hatred in America should have earned Edward Norton an Academy Award. When Norton's character is released from jail for murdering 3 black men (who were trying to steal his car) his view on life has drastically changed. Before being convicted he was a respected skinhead who had earned legend status for his recruiting skills. His younger brother (Edward Furlong) idolized him and awaits his release, not knowing of his brother's change of heart.
This film explores hatred in many of its forms with an unblinking eye. Disturbing, haunting, and extremely eye opening this is one film that should be mandatory viewing in college sociology classes. We've all encountered hatred and this film pleads with us to overcome it. Powerful proof that hatred sows bitter fruit.

Unlocking The Mystery Of Life - movie DVD cover picture

Tom Herbst wrote that this video had quote "factual errors." I would personally like some facts that dispute it. This video presented a theory to determine how life started it is nothing more than what Darwin tried to do. To tell the public to avoid this product doesn't make sense. If you really are in faculty position you should want all the theorys on the subject to be taught not one over the other. They both should have an equal opportunity to expain how life started. I think this video starts the process of undoing what we were taught as fact in school when you can't deny the holes that are present in evolution.

emotionally shattering

I rented this movie on a recommendation from a David Lynch fan. He said it wasn't as weird as his other films and is probably the best place to start to slowly ease into what he does. I rented it then on that recommendation and I must say I didn't expect to get as upset as I did. It's a very sad film throughout no matter how you look at it. Whether Merrick is being abused or treating with kindness it's almost hard to hold back tears a lot of the time. For me the parts that are most moving are when Merrick is treated with kindness unexpectedly and is emotionally moved. It's really just a very beautiful film I think. I don't really think this movie is for everyone due to the fact that it is so upsetting and sad, but people that enjoy those kinds of films should love this movie.
