lets do it

I'm not a fan of any of the people in this film except for one, the Lovely Lesley Ann Warren, I simply Adore her and originally saw this due to the fact that she was in it. I found the film a fun film, a good story with decent acting. It probably grabbed alot of female fans due to George Strait starring in it also. Thats ok, some stars pull in good crowds. Not a bad movie but not one of my favorites. I'd give it an "average" rating.

The Best Movie I Have Seen To Date

I love this movie!! I ended up seeing it four times in the theatres and still craved to see it more. I have already pre-ordered the DVD and I am eagerly awaiting it. The things I liked best about this movie is the action, suspense, story line, visual effects, and humor. The movie did a wonderful job of trying to follow the book, make it interesting, and tell the story within the time span of three hours. I have read the books(all three) four times. I find that they can become slow and are somewhat something of a challenge. This movie(only the first part of three) didn't have that same slow pace as the first book and was full of action. I would pay good [$$$] for this movie, because that is how good it really is.

One of the best!!

This video has me dripping at the end. It is great for the lower body and since weights are incorporated, your arms will tone well too. I have lost 25 pounds by watching what I have been eating and by alternating my exercise videos. This is my favorite. Ellen's instructing is great. I have also enjoyed Karen Voigt's Burn and Firm which is circuit training.

Bhagavad Gita

This story of a disheartened WWI vet, an up-and-coming golf pro prior to his horrendous wartime experiences, getting another chance to find his golf game "his authentic swing" and his life back, is not a great film, but it is a very nice and likeable film.
Robert Redford is too good a director and too meticulous a craftsman to make a film without a great deal to like in it. And here again this film is beautifully made, exquisitely photographed, and nicely played by an excellent cast. It tells its story simply and with quiet eloquence.
The mythic or even "mystic" elements are not overbearing, and the story is played with warmth and humor. It is leisurely, though not dull, and its yearning for a time of simpler and clearer values is as valid as any other viewpoint, and very refreshing. Redford's explanation of his attraction to this material in the DVD extras is enlightening.
Not a unique masterpiece, but a pleasant and thoughtful movie, rendered with care.

Jurassic Park III...They're back.

I went to see Jurassic Park III, but was dissapointed about a few things. For one thing, it's a short movie. At 92 minutes, it's the shortest of all the Jurassic Park movies. It also isn't as nearly suspenseful as the others, although I think the story is better than the Lost World. The movie also doesn't bring back as many of the old characters. The only major character is Dr. Alan Grant. Dr. Ellie Sattler is only in one scene, and Ian Malcolm isn't in it at all. And the worst of all - NO T-REX!!! The main suspense factor of the movies is replaced by another dinosaur. Although the Spinosaurus is a good edition to JP, I still like the T-Rex better. The T-Rex is only in one scene, and it's being attacked by the Spinosaurus! Another character not in the movie is the owner of the park, John Hammond. The movie synopsis goes like this: When Dr. Alan Grant thinks he's out of a job because of Jurassic Park, he decides to find more about velociraptor's intelligence. He finds out that they had the power to talk to each other. Even though Grant vows never to return to the island of Isla Nublar, a wealthy tourist, Paul Kirby, and his wife, Amanda, persuade Grant to be their guide on an aerial tour of a neighboring island, Isla Sorna, InGen's Site B seen on The Lost World. Grant thinks it's just a quick flight, but when the plane lands on the island, Grant finds out that Kirby is actually not a wealthy tourist, but an owner of a small tile company who is trying to find his son, who was trapped on the island from a parasailing accident near the island. But when Kirby realises the dangers on the island and takes the plane off, they crash into "something" and get caught in a tree. There they meet the Spinosaurus as it rips apart their airplane in an attempt to find the survivors. The group decides to look for Kirby's son, but when Grant's apprentice scientist decides to take home a souvenir raptor egg, they encounter life-threatening dangers - raptors setting traps, attacking Pteradons, and swimming Spinosaurus's. After they find the boy, their only hope may be a satellite phone, in the Spino's stomach. I'd only see the movie in theaters once, but probably buy it on Video/DVD.

Best Horror Movie Ever!!!!

Halloween is the one that started it all. What would slasher movies be without Halloween? I'll tell you what a piece of crap! John Carpenter is a genius. Not very gory at all, but still scary as hell. The Halloween theme song is the scariest sound you will ever here, period!!!
Scariness - 9.8/10Sound - 10/10Acting - 9.9/10Gore - 7.5/10
This is an awsome movie, you should definetly buy it, and if you like it as much as I do you should also buy the TV extended version. This movie is Rated-R for Horror Violence, Sexuality, and Drug Use.

Can't wait for this CD!!

Back when Frasier and Seinfeld were new shows on tv, I wasn't much of a tv watcher and did not ever catch these shows in their first runs. Now I am completely hooked on these shows as they are syndicated on Fox TV at night!! I bought the first season of Frasier and absolutely love it! The humor is so intelligently droll, so adult . . . I have been anxiously awaiting release of the second season!!

A Masterpiece

The director, writer John Sayles,Macarthur genius fellow, has fashioned his masterpiec with this movie. It is the finest script I have seen in years, telling at least 5 stories, tying them together seamlessly, and bringing in contemporary political and cutural changes. The story surrounds a son of a legendary sherrif of a texas border town{chris Cooper in a terrific turn].himself the sheriff in a very different time and world.Tie in an army base ,the racail strife ,romance,a 30 year old murder, redemption and trying to escape from your past, and you have the barest outlines of this brilliant script. The actors uniformally excellent, from Cooper to Elizabeth Pena,Sayles staple Joe Morton to a cameo from Frances mcdourmand,to Kris Krisstoferson as a bigoted sherrif. The story not only overlaps ,but actually concludes by not having a traditional ending.simply filmaking as it can be. perhpas the best american film I have seen in years. excellent.
