Great

Wow, this movie is just great. It is filled with action and is smart. Its a story about a man who has been wrongfully accused of murdering his wife. He is hunted through the city, woods, hospitals, throughout the movie. The marshall that is after him will stop at nothing to find him. Dr. Kimble though must find a way to prove that he is innocent, and find the real killer. This is just 2 hours of non stop excitement.
The sequel "Us Marshalls" is not even half as good. I wouldn't recommend it.
Also the movie "Wrongfully Accused", which is a parody of this movie and a couple of others, was not that good, it had some good laughs but overall it wasn't worth it.

Great movie... stop whining

This is one of my all time favorite movies. I think the acting is excepional, and the special effects are spectacular.
Most of the complaints this movie gets, I belive are undeserved. People who criticize this movie tell people to leave their IQ at home... Maybe they should have brought their IQ along to understand the movie!
First the people who complain that the movie is too much focused on America.... WTF? Can you please tell me what the name of the movie is? Indepenence Day (ID4) an american holliday! c'mon get a clue, of course it is going to be biased in favor of america, it is only the most important American Holiday!
another problem people have with the move is that the acting is horrible... well I wont touch much on that one since that is subject to opinon... all Ill say is watch it again... the DVD version has more of the Story intact... and watch the part where the "firt kid" says "is mommy sleeping" and the pres says "yeah... mommys sleeping" and tell me you don't feel anything....
the other problem people have a hard time with is the part, or parts i should say; where Jeff Goldblum is able to dicipher the alien code in the satilite and where he can connect to the alien ship with his laptop...
first... the alien ships where using human satilites, where everything is in binary(how all our compuers are Binary)... and Jeff Being a 8 year MIT Grad probably has a good understanding of reading binary... and all he did was find a hidden binary code that wasnt supposed to be there, he filtered it out and realized that it was a count down(in short).
the one that most people have a problem with is when he interfaces with the alien ship using his laptop.... well think about it! they have had an alein ship there to study for 30+ years... how do you think they were studing the alien technology?with computers! Im sure they developed some sort of interface adapter to the alien technology that allowed our computers to interface with alien computers... what, you want them to show you how they make it so you know it works and then you can say this is a beliveable movie? C'mon guys Use your IQ you have so much of, take it to the movie next time, im sure youll like it the movie much more.
the only issue with the movie are the shortcuts it takes... like when will smith finds his girlfriend among the rubble of EL Toro, or when he finds Area 51 with the RV caravan. or how Wills girlfriend finds the first lady, or how Jeff's girl friend is in a position to get a meeting with the president So Jeff can Give the critical info to the pres just in time... but all that is to just make the movie more fun. thats all the movie tries to be... just a Kick A$$ joy ride!
enjoy it for what it is and don't cut it down for something that it isn't even trying to be.

Funny & Entertaining!

I was not too sure about this movie from the previews I saw. Afterall, Johnny Dep was wearing make-up and looked quite feminine! Did I really want to see this? The answer is a resounding "YES!" Johnny Dep is masterful and creative in the role of Jack Sparrow. Dep created his own style of pirate that made Disney very worried at first. However, those who trusted Dep's genius talked the rest of the Disney crew into letting Dep Jack Sparrow his own way and it was well worth it! Who wants to see another rendition of a boring "Argh matey" pirate? I would far prefer to see the staggering, slurring, yet incredibly agile and ingenius pirate that Dep created.
Of course, another draw to the movie is Dep's co-star, Orlando Bloom (Legolas in The Lord of the Rings) as Will Turner. Orlando performs as Dep's straight man, but has comedic lines as well. Bloom does a great job as Will Turner - and looks great as well!
Finally, the special effects were top rate - what with pirates turning into skeletons every time the moon's rays hit them. Pirates of the Carribean is a definite must see - again and again!

Deserved all those Oscars

There's a whole world in this movie that you could get lost in, from the tranquil surroundings to the gentle flow of the score, interwoven so beautifully into the plot that the development appears seamless. The swordfights are pure artistry, and fans of the martial arts would appreciate the deadly elegance of each stroke dealt by these masters of the craft. Ang Lee brings the wonder of Ancient China to life in this wonderfully directed and put together film.

Jet Li's best!

I was never a big fan of Jet Li's films,"Romeo must die" was pretty good, and "Lethal weapon 4" was okay, but Jet Li's talents never clicked with me until I saw "Fist of legend".The plot for "Fist of legend" wasn't very original, and bubbing was terrible, and the acting wasn't all that, but the fight sequences are better than anything I've seen before.I highly reccomend this film,it should be a classic, but it probably won't get what it deserves because it was direct to video release. But beware, this is only for martial arts fans,I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, enjoy!
