Zoolander was Great.

Okay so he is really stupid in this movie, but that's what makes him funny.
Zoolander is about Derek Zoolander, a male model, who is tired of just being 'really really good looking'. He decides he wants to help people, so he retires from modeling. He goes back to his home to work in the coal mines with his father. He finally gets hired by the evil guy ( Dang, I can't remember his name.) So he is brainwashed so that he will kill the prime minister of Malaysia when he hears the song 'Relax'. Of course he ends up not killing him. He ends up building the ' Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good, and Want to Do Other Stuff Good too. It has a happy ending.

The Eye - movie DVD cover picture

Sustaining a palpable sense of dread throughout while providing frequent effective shocks, the latest offering from the Pang brothers successfully balances the more horrific aspects of their supernatural tale with some thoughtful personal touches. Though horror fans will inevitably draw comparisons to such aesthetically similar efforts as The Sixth Sense and The Ring, The Eye stands well enough on its own by offering a stylishly rendered tale of terror and well-drawn, sympathetic characters. As Mun (Angelica Lee) struggles to adjust to a new world of sight and Dr. Wah (Lawrence Chou) attempts to assist her in expanding her visual vocabulary, the audience truly feels how disorienting it might be to suddenly experience the world in an entirely new context. Add in the supernatural visions that she suffers upon regaining her sight and her struggles to maintain her sanity amidst increasingly disturbing encounters, and the viewer gradually grows to experience Mun's plight in a remarkably personalized way. Additionally, the subsequent effect that the death of a minor but pivotal character has on Mun provides a well-drawn transition in her understanding of how her gift may be used. Clearly attracted to Mun, the protective Dr. Wah's ethical dilemma in contrast to his older and more professional uncle renders his conflicted character equally three-dimensional. well crafted put together remake.

Red Green - Duct Tape Forever - movie DVD cover picture
A funny show that made a GOOD movie !

It's a well-documented fact that a television series cannot be turned into a movie, even though some bonehead exec will occasionally forget and make one.
Well, that must only be true in America because the cast and crew of the Red Green Show have made a really funny little movie. While your average television conversion picture is obsessed with making everything bigger and better, the gang at Possum Lodge really know their strengths and play to them. They are entering a Duct-Tape goose into a contest by the manufacturer in order to save the lodge from a developer who wants to destroy it for his mother. Embodying the spirit of the Possum Lodge, they're shooting for third place. With their massive symbol of the Canadian lifestyle, our guys are a shoe-in for third......but the evil developer has hired the sheriff and his deputy to stop Red and Harold from getting to the contest. Wacky hijinks ensue (Really, this is not sarcasm. It's freakin' hilarious hijinks).
The DVD has a small but well-picked selection of special features that will be entertaining to any fan of the show (Which you probably will be after this movie). The actors' stories and opinions are actually interesting, as opposed to some others I could mention. And they don't display the cultivated obsequiousness which marks so many actors from our country.
Buy this movie ! ;-)

A WWII Rodgers/Hammerstein Classic Set in Hawaii

A long time fan of Rodgers and Hammerstein I felt this was one of their best. Set in beautiful Hawaii, it depicts life as it probably was around the early 1940's. Rossano Brazzi as Emile and Mitzi Gaynor as Nellie are a compatible duo. Bloody Mary (Juanita Hall) is superb.
The overtones of war and racial issues lend themselves to some great dialogue and acting. Social issues are handled well, and the military is represented rather whimsically by the songs and antics of the Sea Bees.
Even after seeing this as a play more than a dozen times, I never tire of the classic on film. Thanks Rogers and Hammerstein for the songs and the memories!

Much superior to other sci-fi of the era

I originally saw this movie "It Came from Outer Space" aka "Strangers from Outer Space" on a 14" black and whit TV as a child. And believe me I was seeing eyes all over the place for several nights.

John Putnam (Richard Carlson of "Creature from the Black Lagoon" fame) an amateur astronomer was watching the desert sky with his girl, Ellen Fields (Barbara Rush) a local school teacher, when a strange meteor came down near buy. John, first to reach it swore he saw a door shut. We see it and believe him. However no one else does. What will happen next? Watch and find out.

You can spot a Jack Arnold film by the pacing and initial dialog. This one gave me nightmares as a kid. However now when I watch this film now, I can enjoy the DOWN TO EARTH portrayal of misplaced aliens. You get the alien view from its innards. I was disappointed to find that this is not a 3-D film. I also have the children's book of this with still shots. Your next film to view is "OUT THERE" (1995) an HBO film staring Bill Campbell and Wendy Schaal. It shows real alien interaction with people and accordions.

Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin - The Untold Story (UMD Mini For PSP) - movie DVD cover picture

Wow, this movie was great, finally something that lives
up to its franchise (not Crow series),
but Family Guy series.

This movie was so funny that I died laughing!!!!
Really, so many laughs, so many highlights,
Fox finally has churned out a good one for the
loyal fans of the tv shows.

The basic plot, is that is Stewie Griffin,
is doing his usual devious deeds as an infant, while
Peter Griffin lands a job with those wisecracking
politically incorrect reporters Tommy Tucker and Diane
Simmons. Tucker is a lot like Ferrel's character of
"Anchorman", hes a male chauvonist pig. Of course
these character provide insight and jokes into the
corrupt mass media world where people will do
anything for a story. Continuing on, Stewie, finds
his life unfilled despite his evil history until
he sees someone that looks like his father, or
someone just like him. He then becomes obsessed
with finding him.

One of the highlights and there are plenty are a
couple of steroid jokes, more jokes poked at the
mass media, Tom, Peter's reporter rival, Stewie and
Brian (The Talking Dog) getting drunk and arrested
and much more Seen Stewie do his usual gags and getting
drunk was a riot.

Of course, there are thousand more jokes, which I cant
list them all but what I can say with an honest face
is that this film really does justice to us Family Guy fans.

Any fans of the series need to watch this, and you will
probably watch this several times because it is that damn good.

Shows like Family Guy dont dummy anything down, they
expose the problems of America, abuse of power,
conservative corrupt media all through the magical power
of comedy and satire. Family Guy the series has now
become a great big following and its well deserved
for the crew and Seth McFarlane.

I loved the movie, I give it a 10.

One of the best!!!

Thomas may have top billing, but a long time Berrymore fan would think otherwise! With her high pitched scream and cute smile, it is a movie that will touch your heart, a movie that has true definition! If you are not either aching from laughing, or burning from tears by the end, maybe you should check your pulse!

My favorite woody allen

Sleepers and annie hall are also good. Is as good as mel Brooks and monty python. No one else but Woody Allen could make such brilliant comedy out of such a sober book like War and Peace(and dostoevski and twenti other books)!
