Zombie horror as it should be.

Finally, a new zombie horror flick is added to the catalog, and IT'S ACTUALLY A GOOD ONE!! Not only is it good, this film is genuinely frightening. Here's why:
? This flick does a really good job of illustrating what it would be like to be among the last survivors, watching the world as you know it become overrun with the living dead as you slowly run low on ammo, food, supplies, and hope for survival.
? The zombies here aren't the somnambulic wimps from the original Romero movies. These are the savage, snarling, biohazard blood-spitting monsters like the ones in 28 Days Later. These zombies aren't plodding slowly along and moaning while people are thinking "Why don't you just run past them?" No.... these zombies are demonic, feral ghouls that run after you, attack with full force, and rip you apart.
I highly recommend this film. I've seen it twice now, and I'll probably see it again at least once before it closes in the theaters. You can bet I'll buy the DVD the day it comes out.
I'm a huge zombie movie fan. My favorites were previously the 1990 remake of "Night Of The Living Dead" (directed by the great Tom Savini) and the original "Day Of The Dead" which is one of the three original Romero flicks.
This remake of Dawn Of The Dead is now my favorite zombie movie.

Global Thermonuclear War

What happens when a computer hacker breaks into the defense department's computer system and starts playing what he thinks is a computer game? Would you believe World War III?
That is the premise of this movie in a nutshell. But don't let the simple plot line summary fool you. This is a great movie.
Half the fun of this movie is in watching David Lightman (played by Matthew Broderick) get himself in deep water when he accidentally gets the United States to believe that the Soviet Union is attacking. The other half of the fun is in watching David and his new girlfriend (played by Ally Sheedy) desperately try to find the only person on the face of the earth who can stop the computer (called Joshua) from starting World War III.
This is a fun, escapist movie that can be enjoyed by the entire family. Don't worry about the plot holes, or the lack of believability in some areas. Just watch the movie for the fun that it is meant to be.

a dream

I am from the gypsy world so to me this movie is so real and so true that I was almost on the verge of tears. The music direction is amazing. This is like watching a Passolini movie - but a Passolini of modern days. The camera work is also good. If you get a chance watch this movie. The movie is about that part of Spain which does not get publicity. Life here means more than football games and TV - it is music and the passion for music. Life and death are part of a flow where everybody gets the chance to die (some with honor and some as sacrifice). The passion behind this movie is beyond imagination - the only recent movie I can compare with is "Sound of Music" but at a much grand scale.

Fox knows not what a gem this is

Explain to me how a show as popular and good as Futurama gets canceled, while a stupid show like Joe Millionaire gets extended? Futurama is just as funny and as good as the Simpsons. This is perhaps the best show to ever be canceled.

dolly stole the show

i like this movie alot except for julia roberts. i don't understand why they chose her to star in a movie called "pretty woman". they should have called it "ugly horseface". anyway, steel magnolia's made me laugh alot and then it's sad sometimes - kinda like drinking everyday! shirley mccaline was really good too but i don't think the role was much of a stretch. olympia dukakis scares me. sally field looks mean. and that girl from splash is always a hoot. but let's not forget dolly. remember the dollymo!

Is This Supposed To Be A Comedy Or A Drama? Please Advise

In this movie we see Andrew McCarthy playing a Major League Geek by the name of Jonathon who dosen't have much success with women.Poor guy. His best friend Skip, played by Rob Lowe gives him $100 to go to the Big City where hopefully he can lose his virginity!!! Gee. I wish I had such a good friend back when I was in High School. Jonathon heads straight for the Singles Bar and makes a fool out of himself but he meets an attractive woman played by Jacqueline Bissett who has an Acute Anxiety Disorder and self medicates using alcohol. Then predicatably she and Jonathon have sex although one has to wonder if she would be attracted to him if she was't in a Severe State Of Intoxication!!!( I learned that phrase from watching Judge Judy). This movie is very jarring due to it's constant shifts between Human Drama and supposed Comedy. I give this movie 5 stars because I have always liked Ms. Bissett although I never met anybody as good loking as her (that is while I was sober)in any Singles Bar that I used to frequent.

This DVD is #24 out of 130 greatest WWE DVD's. It is a classic DVD and nothing less. It has the greatest Hardyz matches ever and there hand picked by the Hardyz.

Hardy Boyz vs. Dudley Boyz vs. Edge & Christian was the first ever TLC match and it was awesome and if it is not in the top 5 matches ever I will never watch wrestling again because this is probably #3 behind the WrestleMania Triple Threat and HHH vs. HBK HIAC.

This is a great DVD and a definte pick up if you like high-flying action you will not be disappointed by the results.

its high time ladies and gentlemen

lets go! do what you gotta do to get it done. this is, in my mind, the most brilliant show to ever hit television. it so closely captures the feelings of that age its riduculous. daniel stern is the perfect candidate for the voice of kevin. in addition, the relationship between kevin and winnie is so beautiful it often gave me chills to see the amazing acting on both sides. i say again, lets go, i need this collection.

A muck, a muck, a muck...uugggggghhh

This movie is totally great. I loved it, and it was even more fun to perform it in drama class. Making the sisters come to life on the stage was hilarious. Granted I would have rather been Sarah than Winnie, but it turns out Winnie's the better part. If you like Thora Birch, I highly suggest the movie 'American Beauty'. This movie, as I said before was awsome! I recomend it to anyone!

This movie is a timeless classic. I never tire of watching it.
The wit and humor with adventure keeps your interest. I think John Wayne's preformance in this movie and
True Grit are his best by far. I would recommend these movies for any age.
