Zombie Slayer

Demons 2 is a mildly diverting but nonetheless insipid sequel to the aggressively gross Demons. The residents of a high-rise building are terrorized by demons who are easily recognized by their perpetually growing cuspids. Sadly, not as gross as the original, with too much filler. Lamberto Bava showed promise with A Blade in the Dark, but stumbles here. The little demon boy, however, is vastly entertaining, if not unintentionally humorous.

Finding Neverland (Widescreen Edition) - movie DVD cover picture
Muses of Neverland

One reviewer here suggests that you should not seek out the "true" story of how Peter Pan came to be made, because if you do, and then compare the true story to this movie, your enjoyment of Finding Neverland will decrease significantly. I must respectfully disagree with that. Yes, there were a few facts that were fudged - but that's all, just a few. The core of both stories is the same: how an adult came to find a muse within children, and to use his inspiration to write a genre breaking play that gave the world one of the most endearing characters in all of fiction.

Unlike many who have posted reviews, I have never been overly fond of Johnny Depp. However, that was not the case in this film. I've seen countless films of his, and enjoyed them on one level or another, but his personal involvement never affected me in a positive way. The perfect example for this is Chocolat, easily one of my favorite films, but I could have taken or left Johnny Depp. Finding Neverland has changed my opinion of Mr. Depp entirely, and I now count myself one of his fans. His performance was so understated, so sublime, so perfect that he made an admirer out of me. It takes an amazing performance to do such a thing, and this was an amazing performance.

Kate Winslet was Kate Winslet: without fault, capable of evoking emotion with a simple cough. The moment she appeared on the screen seemed almost to be the beginning of the film. Rather - the moment her character and her character's children appeared on film was when it really began

Winslet and Depp had terrific chemistry on screen - in fact, they may have had too much. They looked so good when they were together, that it seemed as if they should have been husband and wife. I kept expecting them to get together, but since one of the fudged facts is that Winslet's character's husband was still alive during all of this, that was impossible.

The film did a wonderful job showing something that would have been highly frowned upon in today's society. A grown man, spending all of his time with children? There may have been a restraining order placed upon him with today's sensibilities. Thankfully, yesterday wasn't today.

Different Type of Musical

Hedwig and the Angry Inch is a different type of musical. While it includes all the elements of a musical (music, song, dance), it tells a story of a person's life. Most musicals have a point that they try to make, be it social or environmental. This is simply to tell the story of a person's life. The music is phenomonal and the acting amazing. You really feel as if this could be happening. There is no lights, no camera, it feels so real, Hedwig could be your next door neighbor. You could be in a diner eating and have this person show up. It is a moving story of one person's journey through life. A 5 Star Movie!!

The Many Forms of The Sayins

songokoussj4 i believe made a small mistake. when The Title of this is Super Sayin!? they are guessing is he one and the answer is no. Vegeta thought he was a Super Sayin because of how stronge he was not but we learn later on that SSJ1 or super sayin1 form comes with a change and that change is the Hair is Blonde but looks more more like Dark yellow when powered up with Green eyes which in some of the series their eyes are blue and i would say they were blue but the eye are really suppose to be green and their hair sticks straight up. There are Middle forms between SSJ1 and SSJ2 which is called The Ascended Sayin Forms also know as the Ultimate Super Saiyan forms or also known as USSJ. There are TWO Ultimate Super Saiyan forms and that is USSJ1 and USSJ2. USSJ1 or also known as Ultimate Super Saiyan form 1 is much stronger than the Super sayin. The hair (which is blonde or a dark yellow when powered up) sticks Up more than SSJ2 or at lest on Vegeta and the muscles grow larger. USSJ2 or Ultimate Super Saiyan form 2 is much stronger than USSJ1 but is slower due to the fact that the muscles grow much larger than USSJ1. and the hair sticks staight up like like USSJ1. The the secound form is SSJ2 or super sayin 2 which makes the hair a little bit longer and more spickier than SSJ1 when it stands up on end and small lighting shocks flash around their body. SSJ3 of super sayin3 which is The Third form has the small lighting shocks flashing around the body and the face changes form as well. The hair is Much Much longer and flows straight down their back and the hair spicks out at the ends. Then you have SSJ4 which is the strongest form and last one they reach. The tail grows back in this form and Red fur grows all over the body like an ape exspect for the chest like an ape. The hair is a Jet Black color and the hair is larger than SSJ1 and SSJ2 and spicks out at the end. The eyes like black or some people would say dark brown because dark brown looks black a little bit with an olive color type circle around it or it's a yellow color around it. but there is a pre-super sayin form which is before super sayin. This form is Only seen in the Lord Slurg Movie of dragon ball z. Oozaru and Oozaru gold is not a super sayin forms but does increase the power by alot. Oozaru happens when they sayin has his tail and looks as a full moon or something that look like a full moon. Oozaru Gold is caused when looking at the full earth. but the Oozaru Gold form might be due to turning Oozaru after becomeing super sayin some people call is the super sayin form or Oozaru which it could be. There are parts that the Sayin do that are not part of sayin forms. Kai Ken is not a Sayin form. Kai Ken is a powering up move learned from King Ki Nether is the Mystic form part of the Sayin forms which only Gohan does after old kia trains with him or gives him that. The Mystic form Gohan goes though make him stronger than the SSJ3 form but his hair stays black and sticks up like the SSJ2 form and the eyes also turn green like the in the super sayin form and lighting shocks flash around the body.

Big Fish - movie DVD cover picture
'Big Fish' is a great catch

In the past, director Tim Burton has been known for his offbeat, sometimes dark, sometimes strange, but always visually impressive films such as Ed Wood, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Edward Scissorhands. His newest offering, Big Fish, is his most whimsical and personal work yet and definitely one of his best. Big Fish is the story of Edward Bloom, a man who loves his family but has never been completely honest with them about his life. Edward is now near the end of his life and his son, Will, finds this the perfect opportunity to discover the real story of his father?s life. Edward, however, has other ideas. To Will, and to everyone else in the Bloom family, Edward?s life is a complete mystery. The stories he tells about his life involve witches, giants, werewolves and interruptions in the time/space continuum, among other things. Will is a reporter, so he has a tolerance for the facts and he is initially exasperated by his father?s outlandish yarns. Edward, in his elder version, is played by Albert Finney. Even though he spends almost the entire film bed-ridden, Finney fills the character with so much energy and passion, that he steals every scene he is in. Ewan McGregor portrays the younger Edward and his performance, though less powerful, is still of the same splendid caliber of Finney?s. He makes Edward a funny, kind and unique personality and his Southern accent, even though McGregor was born in Scotland, is flawless. In fact, the worst Southern accent in a movie where the two lead actors are both British comes from an American actor, Danny DeVito, as a circus ringmaster with a strange secret. The other performers in Big Fish are also above average. Alison Lohman and Jessica Lange, playing Edward?s wife Sandra at different stages in her life, both are tender and beautiful. As Will, the skeptical son, Billy Crudup seems like he?s playing a one-note part until the climax of the film, which is one of the most poignant and affecting scenes likely to be found in a movie this year. Director Tim Burton and cinematographer Philippe Rousselot make the world of Edward?s stories vivid and quirky, with splashy colors and striking imagery. His tall tales are richly illustrated and to the audience, the world is a wonderful thing to behold through the eyes of Edward Bloom. Big Fish may be Tim Burton?s masterpiece and it is certainly one of the best movies of 2003. It shows that a little magic is greatly needed in a world which has grown too cold and cynical. It is rare that a movie can be so imaginative and whimsical and yet is able to affect its audience in such a deeply personal way.

Very Interesting

I came accross this movie in a movie store and it caught my eye because my name is Angela as well and after reading the back of the movie cover, the part that said she came from a deranged family was interesting because that was like me as well. After watching this movie, I thought about it a lot and I couldn't seem to understand it. I watched it again and it came clear to me that the girls made up their own fantasy worlds to escape the very depressing or overly happy mood swings of their mother, and they search for a way to heaven and Angela dies when she succeeds. This movie was very interesting, and very well directed.

Pink Floyd - Live at Pompeii (Director's Cut) (Jewel Case) - movie DVD cover picture
Old Floyd On Video Will Always Get 5 Stars

Before there was the The Wall (Over embellished/pretentious Floyd), before there was [] Momentary Lapse of Reason, The Division Bell (What I Consider Paint by numbers Floyd i.e. see P.U.L.S.E.!), There was good ole Pink Floyd, ie DSotM, Wish You Were Here and their Masterpiece the Angry and political Animals. Before this time Pink Floyd was hungry, had something to say and was looking for a direction, a vision if you like. Their early work was summed up perfectly with the release of this DVD.It was not cropped like some may have you believe, the original was released 16:9 in theaters not 4:3 in VHS that was done later for the vhs release. The theatrical release came first. Also. not all of the songs are shot in Italy, Eugene,Nobs and STCFTHOTS were filmed in London because they ran out of time while in Italy and you can see them in a dark sound stage. It still makes this bloody DVD brilliant, and even though it is only stereo, wait until you hear echoes and careful with that axe eugene thru your DVD players surround sound. OMG, it is unreal!!!!Again, for just the sound alone it would have been worth it for the asking price. You can pretty much learn the entire song of echoes on guitars just from camera positions. Now to address some additions added into the film that were not there before. there are some space/planet features that are kinda confusing, as well as the CGI art of how Pompeii would have looked, which is not a bad idea given the whole concept of the "Pompeii" thing. Even the planet thing didn't bother me after the second viewing, and I am a die hard Floyd fan. I have a european version of the See Emily Play 45 Single that Syd drew of the "Choo Choo Train", though I must admit I am glad that they developed there own style and let the Beatles be the Beatles. It was somwhere in between a Saucerful of Secrets and the release of Meddle, particularly the line in Echoes starts everything special in Floyd to come, by its obsurdness and obscurness thatr makess it so wonderfull... "...strangers passing in the street by chance two separate glances meet, for I am you and what I see is me"...(That happens every fricken day !!!)
Next Note: Now I know they have have complete Live AUDIO/VIDEO Recordings of Dark Side of the Moon 1972-1974 tours, Wish You Were Here 1975 tours and Animals 1977 In the Flesh tours. If Jimmy Page can work his magic with his masters for both the DVD and How the West Was Won and that footage is older than yours(PF's). What is stopping you, third party Pink Floyd footage is nice. But we would rather se see something directly from Roger/Dave/Nick/Rick/Strom/EMI and best of, making of classic album DVD isn't cutting it any more, you have released, DSotM like 80 times allready, how about a live animals tour or a live DSotM 1972 Hollywood Bowl Tour. A nice DVD 5 1/2 hour Package is what we want. Not a 1/2 hour BBC VH1 presentastion is what we want.
The Pompeii Video is worth every penny, just a shame they will rip us off with a Pulse DVD or a Delicate Sound of Thunder DVD.Its a shame, cause you are my favorite muscian Mr. Gilmour

I loved this movie.

Adam Sandler is at his best. He hasn't played a part so good after this up until Big Daddy. He is a complete, mindless, idiot...but so darn loveable. But unlike his other movies, he isn't a complete moron.
The funny this is that this isn't even his movie. No one was the star in this one. It was a group effort here, and it worked. Three guys taking over a radio station with water pistols just sounds fun. And boy, is it.
Watch this movie. It's not a classic, but you'll like it.
