Zat guns galore!

WARNING! SPOILERS.
Season 2 has it all man! With "The Serpent's Lair" we see the conclusion to the 4-part conclusion of Season One's last 3 episodes. And it's a doosey, let me tell ya. And if you recall, the cliffhanger introduced us to a quite unique Goa'uld weapon commonly known as Zat Gun. The first shot incompacitates, the second kills, the third disentagrates. Well, Season 2 sees extended use of this weapon and it becomes an exciting new special effect.
But anyway enough of the Zat gun talk. Season 2 sees SG-1 come into its own. Lots of good episodes in this ste and I haven't even watched half of them yet. Lots of good Goa'uld episodes. In the episode "Thor's Chariot" we once again see the Horus-type System Lord Goa'ulds. We also find out that these are Apothisis' mortal enemies. We are also first introduced to the Asgard named "Thor" in an interactive hologram.
In Season 2 lots of loose ends are tied up from Season 1 as well as several new plot elements are revieled subtletly. The existance of the 6th Season's Prometheus battleship program is revieled in the Season opener.
In the episode "Secrets" we find out what happened to Sha're, Daniel's wife from Abydos. This discovery results in another confrontation with the Horus group System Lords.
We also discover the Tok'ra in this Season. The Tok'ra are a group of Jaffa who are in rebellion from the evil System Lords and the Serpent Gods. We see the Tok'ra in many up-coming episodes in later seasons.
So all in all, Season 2 has become known as one of the best seasons of the series and I can see why. There really isn't one bad episode in the bunch and we see a lot of new plot arcs starting and other getting moved along from earlier. The humor is still there and so is the episode ending "oh boys" (as in they've just let a bad guy get away) as the credits roll. So if you like SG-1 in anyway, or are wondering just how good this series is, pick up Season 2 and if you hadn't already Season 1 as well. Season 2 will show you just how good the writing is on this show. I rate SG-1 right up there with Babylon 5 with story telling.

A must for Sailor Moon fans!

Luckily, I was able to see this before it came to the US ( a Japanese foreign exchange student I met lent me her copy )! The animation is amazing! Much cleaner than what is shown on a certain cartoon channel. Pereru is an absolute doll with a heart of pure gold! I love the cookie baking scene at the beginning of the movie and the story of the 3 o'clock fairy! The only complaint I had is when the other fairy's play their instruments, the scouts say that they hear a flute. Pereru is the only one with a flute! The other instruments heard are bassoon, oboe, and clarinet, not flutes!

Good movie.

This was a good movie but there was one main reason why I liked it. Yes it was a funny story, good plot and all but thats not why I loked it so much. The reason I liked it so much was because Everclear had a guest appearence in it, and well I love Everclear. Hey I'm going to by this viedo for that one reason.

beautiful

A lot of people seem to hate this series. Maybe since it's by the same people who did Lain, they were expecting something different. I think it's just great.
Niea Under Seven is a story about a handful of poor people, living in a contemporary Japan that's been inhabited by aliens due to their mothership crashing. One alien, Niea, "befriends" Mayuko, a teenage girl. The story concentrates on these two as Niea constantly tries to score food for her always empty belly and Mayuko is struggling trying to get through cram school on a shoestring budget. The fact that there are aliens and humans is actually pretty subtle, and almost not necessary (although some symbolism is accomplished with them). Don't expect a massive dose of sci-fi action with Niea Under Seven.
Niea Under Seven features gorgeous art, it's really a beautiful show. The town of Enohana is quiet and peaceful, and the characters all work together, much like in any typical small town. Watching NU7 really just makes me want to live there, I get carried away into their world and next thing I know an episode is over.
The plot is subtle and slow, in fact there really is no plot. Many loose ends are never resolved. You're really just watching a small slice of these people's lives, and I like that. A bit of a risk, and I think it paid off. Highly recommended, but be weary you may not get what you're expecting.

Romero's Zombie Masterpiece

If you are a zombie movie fan, this is the one to buy. 3 different versions of DOTD, with loads of extras on each disc.

The set is handsomely packaged, and the quality of the transfer is outstanding--if anything, it looks better on these DVDs than it did when I saw it originally in the cinema.

Though 45 dollars is a lot of money to spend, I didn't regret this purchase at all, and am grateful to Anchor Bay for releasing it.

A definite must have for any serious zombie movie collector!

One of the best movies of the 80s

Long before Steven Spielberg's A.I. came out in the summer of 2001,there was a film that came out in 1985 called D.A.R.Y.L.which is way better then A.I.I grew up on this film since the age of 4 years old and it's still wonderful to me even at the age of 22.While A.I. is a good film,it lacks the warmth, awe and the wonder that Daryl had.His name stands of Data Analyzing Robot Youth Lifeform and noone, not even Daryl himself knows he's a robot, they just think of him as a normal boy with extraordinary talents.Daryl is a warm and touching film not only for childern but for adults too.
