You've Just Been Erased!

U.S. marshals protect people who have messed up in their life and are then 'erased' to start a new life. The best marshal is John Krueger (savior of the human race, Arnold Schwarzenegger) has just been assigned to protect the beautiful Vanessa Williams because she uncovered the new phase gun developed by her company. James Cromwell makes a brief appearance, but commits suicide in a second. It was grisly! After many attempts to get rid of Williams, Krueger saves her life and erases her whole life. Friends of Krueger turn on him and want to get rid of Williams, but he doesn't let that happen! Nobody betrays the immortal genius! Krueger pretends to be a balloon delivery man, jumps out of an airplane, cooks alligator meat, and picks up two phase guns (which must weigh a thousand pounds) and has no mercy for the crooked agents. The Herculean force is the only person in the world that could lift those enormous weapons and the fight between he and James Caan is vehement! A classic to remember forever for Schwarzenegger fans!

An awesome night at the movies

There are two reasons why I didn't give this movie 5 stars.
One) Phillip Seymour Hoffman is one of the best actors on screen today and I wished he would've been in it more. He's brilliant
Two) I loved Jerry Maguire (Cameron Crowe's other big hit) and it was not only because of the characters, but because it dealt around football. This one has Awesome characters, but deals around 70's rock music--which I know not much about nor do I like the music
BUT it was an awesome CHARACTER film. Kate Hudson was outstanding and so was the kid---I don't know his name. Frances McDormand (Fargo) is also at her best in this film. I loved seeing Jason Lee in something other than a NEW JERSEY film, too.
If you love 70's rock music then disregard the 4 stars and give it 5!

Just a Question of Love

The French are the only film makers that can consistently write and produce quality gay films! This film is well acted and a pleasure to watch. It may not deserve all of the 5 stars that I've given it, but it's so rare to see such a nice gay film that perhaps I got carried away!

The Wiggles - Wiggle Bay - movie DVD cover picture

On a lovely wiggly holiday, the Wiggles and their friends found a magic shell, a message in a bottle, and even met Magdelana the Mermaid. The Wiggles, Captain Feathersword, Dorothy, Henry and Wags learn to "Dance a Cachuca" while making friends with Magdelana.
"Dance a Cachuca" is one of my favorite songs in Wiggle Bay, because Captain Feathersword got to know and love the Mermaid that way.

Adrenaline, Anger, Tears -- Go Pre, Go!

This movie is great for those interested in running as a competitive sport. My prime running years developed during Prefontaine's peak years, so I was one of those keenly aware of his abilities and influence. I was sad to hear of his untimely death. This movie helped remind me of that time period and how much of an impact he had on long-distance running. It was also good to see Frank Shorter in the movie (another giant from that time).
The actors were good and the cameos by actual characters were really good. The running was realistic and fast-paced. Even some of the true cross-country scenery was included, which is not often seen these days.
The movie keeps flowing, which might have been hard for a topic that is usually laid-back. I was glad that the movie focused on the topic and did not fall for the typical Hollywood glitz that tries to cover up reality. The emotionality (the triumph and the defeat made popular by ABC at that time) is brought into new light for viewers who may have considered running a dull sport. I know it certainly got my adrenaline flowing again. Go Pre, Go!

Kissing Jessica Stein - movie DVD cover picture

The creators of this film have tackled a very uncomfortable issue for many (the relationship between two women) and have tastefully created a highly entertaining movie. Jessica is a cynical person who never seems to have any fun. Tired of the dating scene, she answers a woman's personal ad on a whim. When she goes to a bar to meet the woman she chickens out.
However, the woman, who seems to be unhappy in her own relationships, seems to be immediately attracted to Jessica and tries to introduce herself. Jessica apoligizes to the woman for wasting her time and tries to unsuccessfully hail a cab. The woman then spills the contents of her bag causing Jessica to pause and help her. That pause is all she needs to begin a conversation.
During the conversation, Jessica admits to never doing anything spontaneous, claiming that is not her. The woman rather rapidly kisses Jessica who seems to enjoy the kiss. They say goodbye and Jessica leaves it go at that, prepared to go back to her "normal" cynical life. However, her personality seems to change. She is cheery and dreamy at work and apparently can't get the woman out of her mind.
What follows is a series of dates that in which the cold fish Jessica very slowly lets her guard down until a real relationship develops between her and the woman.
What follows is that once Jessica accepts her relationship with the woman, she finds it very difficult to share the "news" of her relationship with her family and other friends. There are some very touching moments, where Jessica's fear almost destroys the one relationship that seems to have turned her life around and to give some happiness to her.

This musical is soo cool! everyone was perfect for the part, lol steve martin just blew the screen off as dentist. soo funny. And Greene was the perfect Audrey. I can't picture Babara stresein (sp?) EVER having the squeaky/high voice Greene could do. That'll just be plain Oo!!!! weird! The songs are also awesome, specially the duets like "Suddenly Seymour" and "Downtown (Skid Row!)" also cool.

The movie doesn't have alot of meaning. basically a big evil plant using/manipulating the human, Seymour, to feed it. I like the original ending better. all this happy ending doesn't quite hit it since they omitted "Don't feed the plants!", but still a good movie with the song "green mean mother from outer space!".
