I really, really loved this movie. I thought that the way that they used drugs in the movie was so cool. I mean the one thing that is SO wrong turns out to be... This movie, I can't discribe it, it's just very, very fantastic. It was SO, SO good everyone needs to see it. I just can't get over this movie.

Slap on the cheese

Although picture quality is not the greatest in it's cinematic view, the breathtaking sequences in which the director plays on mood and tone towards the main characters were rousing and intriguing. I found the movie to be very very good..

5 stars are not enough!

From the minute Abbott and Costello hit the screen to the end credits on this four show set (and each additional set) we are able to witness the end of a great american art form called Burlesque. And Abbott and Costello were easily the greatest surviving exponents of that style comedy. Besides being the absolute best comedy team ever the "boys" are smart enough to give us maybe the best supporting cast ever assembled in a comedy series. First there is the brilliant Sid Fields. Not only does he do multiple duty playing a vast assortment of (always) funny characters but he even wrote the series to boot! And if that weren't enough we have Joe Besser the ex stooge (or was he a stooge after this) playing arguably the funniest fifty year old kid ever! Then there's Hilary Brook who combines timing and beauty as well as maybe being the greatest "straight" woman ever! Filling out the cast is Joe Kirk who also plays several characters and Mike the cop. Both are excellent foils for Lou. After those players you will see many of your favorite character actors and actresses from the fifties such as Gloria De Heaven, Jane Frazee, Phyllis Coates, and many others. Sadly the show ran for only two years and was cancelled. It's a tribute to Lou's brilliance as a business man that he insisted that the boys have ownership of the series after they ran once. In fact Lou forced Bud Abbott to do the series as well. Seems Lou the "dumb" one was actually the mastermind behind the team and made very smart creative decisions. A special Emmy should be given to the boys and to Sid Fields for having written the second greatest conmedy series of all time (the Honeymooners being the first). Buy any volume without hesitation today before they take them off the market and you kick yourself for not getting them when you could have!

Slightly Silly But Very Entertaining

I like this movie. Its actually probably my favorite Mary Kate and Ashley movie.
The story can be a bit weak in parts, but is still entertaining. For example, they seem to be very rich (private plane, and complain aobut going to the Bahamas instead of Hawaii) and in the movie seem to do a lot of things which ordinary people could never do: like never waiting in lines at the water slides and other little things.
One thing I love though, is that the outfits in this movie are great. They have different swimsuits in every swimming scene, and they are all very cool. The only outift in the whole movie that I dont like, is one shirt in the last scene that says He Loves Me on the back with a bow on the front.
Anyways, overall the movie was good. I think their should have been more leading up to the whole antique smuggling thing though, because its kind of like 'umm where did that come from?'. But I do recommend it for girls ages 9-15.

Best Movie EVER

People always told me I'd like this movie. As an extremely cynical person, they said it would totally work it's way into my mind. But, being so cynical, I doubted that. My main draw was that Alanis Morissette, of whom I'm a huge fan (it's not even funny) plays the Almighty. But I never really took the time to find this movie. So, it found me.

One day as I was looking for something to watch on TV. And sure enough, Dogma was on. I was about a half hour late, but I decided to just watch it. When it was over, I was stunned. I fell in love with the movie right then and there. It was on later that day and I watched it again. I was even more enthralled the second time around. I resolved that I HAD to get this movie. I'll tell you why.

Dogma takes a very interesting look at the world of religion. It gets very sarcastic and critical at times, which drew the ire of many groups over whether or not the movie was appropriate. Obviously they never took the time to see it, because instead of making religion out as evil, the film does everything it can to show the viewer how good religion truly is. Unlike other movies that are like this for the sake of just being controversial and provocative to get attention, this raises many good points about the church and about society in general. Some might call this film blasphemous. I call it genius. An instant classic. I admire the people who came together to make such an amazing thing. The chemistry is perfect, EVERYONE has impeccable acting, and the story is just plain excellent. The writing is first-rate. Even better in fact. I don't want to give away anything, so I'll leave it to you to see it for yourself. I hope you're as wowed as I am. I just bought it today, 3 weeks after first seeing it. I just finished watching it and it seems to get even better with repeated viewing. So even if you hate it at first, you'll learn to love it. I loved it from the get-go.

Most Underrated Movie

This could quite possibly be the most underrated movie of all time. With superb acting, a teriffic plot and unbelievable content, this truly a remarkable movie. After losing out to "Forest Gump" for the "Best Picture" Oscar, it seemed to have been lost on most people. Look no further for an engrossing movie that truly brings you into the era. This is probably John Turturro's best movie, and Ralph Fiennes really makes a name for himself. David Paymer and Paul Scofield are teriffic in their supporting roles. This story about the Quiz Show scandal in the 1950s involving "21" is as interesting and well produced movie around. The lack of any features on the DVD is disappointing, but the movie is well worth the purchase.

The movie that turned me into a Covette nut when I was 9!

THIS is the greatest movie of all time. Anyone who's nostolgic for Seventies Kustum Kar Kulture will be in heaven. Annie Potts is the most beautiful and underrated actress of all time. She carries this movie. Her cool water-bed van is worth the price of the video alone.

Baraka finally redeemed!

I was one of the first to buy Baraka on Laser Disc and was dissapointed in the transfer. I was one of the first to buy Baraka on DVD from right here at and was sorely dissapointed by the obvious retransfer of the Laser Disc master.FINALLY one of the best films I can recommend has been redeemed. The new anamorphic transfer is very well done. The sound is outstanding. I can finally say buy it. Also it seems very timely with recent world events to sit back and see things from a decidedly different perspective...
