You don't have to be Pre-Menopausal to enjoy this workout!

I can't tell you how great this video is - I loved it!! Even though I'm only in my 20s, it is still a great workout and I love the way they make each section only approx. 20 mins - perfect for today's busy woman. Even the workout music used during the segments is good.
I also love the graphics in the information sections!!
The video comprises Cardio, Toning (with weights and Kegels) and Yoga sections which can be done individually or as a combination.
It is also highly informative - plenty of information that the viewer needs to know about what will happen in the near or distant future. It includes information on diet and which exercises relieve which symptons; Osteoporosis is not the only concern we should have!
You've done it again, Kathy!!

Love Actually (Full Screen Edition) - movie DVD cover picture

Love Actually is a fun movie that will leave a smile on your face and a tear drop as well. Grant is his normal character, goofball English gent. Emma Thompson provides an excellent performance, a real emotional part. There's a lot of love that people can relate to. In summary a great movie with British humor and lots of love.

The Hidden - movie DVD cover picture
One of our favorites!

"The Hidden" turned out to be a real surprise. The aliens in this picture love fast cars and rock-'n-roll music. The story is about an alien cop of one species looking for a criminal alien of another species, which he follows to Earth. Both aliens enter human bodies and control these bodies until the host is dead. Violent and graphic, this film doesn't cover new ground, but twists it by juxtaposing this violence with a keen sense of humor. Michael Nouri is fine as the haggard city cop trying to understand the random killings suddenly spreading throughout his city, and Kyle MacLachlan is perfect in the roll of the quirky alien using an FBI agent's body to hunt down the criminal. Between 1 and 10, "The Hidden" gets a marginal 7.

Casablanca - movie DVD cover picture
An all time American classic

Some movies just make history - they don`t have to be tehnical perfect or any kind of revolution to become legends. Casablanca is actually a sad fairy tale, dressed in a romance and criminal plot. I don`t want to explain you any part of this story, just see it for yourself. But, I want to ask you one question - when was the last time you heard quotes such as "Play it, Sam!", or "Here`s looking at you, kid!", or "This is a begining of a beautiful friendship." and kept asking yourself where are they from? Well, the answer is - they are from Casablanca, probably the best Hollywood romance ever and the film you will not forget.

The Star Maker - movie DVD cover picture
Gentle insight into an unfamiliar place and time.

Netflix describes this movie: "This Oscar-nominated film follows a self-described talent scout as he travels the back roads of Sicily. Armed with a camera, he sells screen tests to poor village folk, who are only too eager to fall for the promise of movie stardom. Men, women and children swarm to him, turning their tests into confessions that are tragic, comic, rhapsodic and revealing. But the gambit takes an unexpected turn when 18-year-old orphan Beata enters the picture..."
The premise is odd, but it's played out in a marvelously quirky fashion. The lead actor has a face that reacts subtly but completely to everyone around him, while the scenery and supporting cast are Sicily personified. The action and plot move gently as befits the time and place. Definitely worth watching.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - The Complete Seventh Season - movie DVD cover picture
Not a stellar SEASON, but rated high for content!

Well, I have to say, as a Buffy addict from day one, that this season is not my favorite. I understand what Joss and Co. were trying to do with this season, and of course, I have to respect that since Joss is a GENIUS, but this season for me was pretty dull up until the final 2 episodes. I thought it moved slowly, and that there was a lot of unnessecary repetition as far as establishing what The First is, slayer mythology, etc.
HOWEVER, I gave this season on DVD a 5 star rating because of the content. The commentaries are great, and I love that they included wrap footage as well as a tribute to Buffy fans. I did, however, think they should have tried harder to get an interview or at least one commentary with SMG, since she has not been in any Buffy-related press since back when Season 1 was airing.
So anyway, great content, ok season.

Jungle Fever - movie DVD cover picture

One of Spike Lee's best films, "Jungle Fever" comments more on race relations in America, than on the subject of adultery. Spike is all over the place with his take on male/female relationships, the devastation wrought on a family and the Black community by crack cocaine, the "color line" in the Italian community and interracial relationships. But he seems to pull it all together to make a powerful film and one of the best of the '90s.
The acting is terrific with the standout performance being Samuel L. Jackson's as Gator, Wesley Snipes ill fated brother. He's charming, comical and evil all at once. And Wesley showed his range as an actor through his performance as Flipper, the "good son," who has a momentary lapse in character and has an affair with his secretary, Annabella Sciorra. All the performances are great and the actors get you to care about the characters they present. Wesley's performance came after the strong work he did as Nino Brown in "New Jack City" and I don't remember an actor "flippin' the script" on the movie going public like that, going from evil to good, in one year in a long time.
You could look at Flipper and Angie as symbols of Black and White America, trying to come together and the obstacles we face as a nation when we don't deal with the issue of race honestly. Something we're still going through. This film also deals with our dishonesty with dealing with the drug problem too, and this is where Spike deserves credit. No one is left unexamined by this tale of life and there are no happy endings either from Gator being murdered by his father, to Flipper and Angie breaking up.
I love how Spike begins and ends the movie. Spike shows in the beginning a couple, obviously in love, in Wesley and Lonnette Mc Kee, (in a strong, small supporting role as Drew) that leads you to believe nothing could tear them apart. When you get to the end, Wesley and Lonnette are trying to make a go at it, but through Lonnette's tears, you see she's just going through the motions, hoping to put away the pain through the lovemaking. When she tells him "he better leave now," you can tell the hurt she's experienced can't be "loved away" like he'd like.
Critics of this film usually state Spike should have stuck to telling one story. What must be said is that while Spike explores a range of contemporary issues in this film, he has made a film of power and emotion, that definitely draws an opinion out of you, one way or another. An underrated, overlooked masterpiece.
