WWE Royal Rumble 2002 - movie DVD cover picture
Yes the 30 men rumble was awesome

I think this probably includes the best Royal Rumble match ever due to its long roster that reminded me of how long the 1991 and 1992 Royal Rumbles were, and those were great. Here are the matches.

1. Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley vs. Tazz and Spike Dudley 9/10
This was an excellent way to start off the night. This match was really entertaining and funny how the Dudley's beat up Spike in this one. What was not fair though was that this match more like a handicap one because Tazz was laid outside most of the time, while Spike was in the ring. Although when Tazz got tagged he cleaned house and did some really good moves and Spike helped out as well. Spike did his share of nice moves as well. In this match, Stacy Keibler tried to slap Tazz but he did the Tazzmission on her until D-Von saved her. A very amazing ending with Tazz and Spike retaining the WWE Tag Team Titles, after Tazz did the Tazzmission on D-Von. Great opener.

2. William Regal vs. Edge 6/10
This match was pretty bad when compared to its previous match. Nothing new came from these men here, but the ending is really bad when Edge gets hit with the brass knuckles. This enabled William Regalto get the victory and become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion. Bad match.

3. Jazz vs. Trish Stratus 8/10
This was a pretty rough women's match. Trish basically got beat up the entire match (with a few times of offense) by Jazz here until the end when Trish started to get the advantage. This occured when Jazz started arguing with the ref and then Trish started hitting her and did two painful moves in a row to finish Jazz off. I know Jazz's face hurt real bad after that match.

4. Ric Flair vs. Vince McMahon (Street Fight) 9/10
I was suprised that these two guys put on a good match. Both men took some hard shots here, especially Ric Flair who got hit with everything. To me Vince looked like an actual wrestler, and the commentary for this match was funny because Jerry Lawler kept on making fun of Ric Flair's body and how Vince's is better. At the end, both men are bloody and Mr. Flair come out on time when he did that submission move on Vince. Great match.

5. The Rock vs. Chris Jericho 8/10
I was really pleased with this match, but I definitly do not think it is the best from either guy. This match was actually kind of crazy, people got hurt, tables broke, and there was a lot of trash talk. A lot of the good moves from Rock and Jericho saved the match as well. In the end Jericho retains the WWE/ World Titles, but The Rock almost had the match won though. Do not skip this match.

6. The Royal Rumble Match 10/10
As I said in the beginning, I think this is the best Royal Rumble ever. This one was very entertaing although pretty long. The match started with Rikishi and Goldust and people came in as usual, until the Undertaker arrived. This was the first highlight when the Undertaker cleared the ring. He eliminated like 8 or 7 people such as Rikishi, Goldust, Al Snow and Billy Gunn. He was left alone in the ring until Matt Hardy came in, and he survived the two minutes and the Jeff Hardy came in. That di not matter though because Undertake tossed out both Hardy Boys. Then this was when Maven came in, and he amazingly eliminated Taker with a dropkick. The crowd went nuts, but then Taker went back inside and eliminated Maven and got beat up all over the arena. Then Scotty 2 Hotty came in, but he got beat up too. The ring was starting to fill up, but then Steve Austin came in and cleaned house as usual. He eliminated people like Christian, Chuck Palumbo, Saturn, Val Venis, and Test. This was when Triple H came in. Austin and Triple had a great showdown, but it was then interrupted by the Hurricane. The Hurricane then got tossed out in like a few seconds. This routine kept going on for a while until the final people came in. In this Rumble Booker T was number 30 and eliiminated RVD, but then he was eliminated quickly by Austin. The final four include Austin, Triple H, Mr. Perfect, and Kurt Angle. Everyone got eliminated until Triple H and Angle were left, but then Angle was tossed out hard. Angle did some spinning move in mid-air, it was weird. Triple H then celebrated in the ring. Good Rumble.

Roll up for the mystery tour!

This is one of my favorite Beatles movies..but this DVD release is nothing short of sacrilage! The picture is grainy and horrible, the audio is rotten...they even had the nerve to drop the speed on the reprise of the title song at the end of the movie (listen....the song SHOULD be in's in Eb here!) This is terrible...I'm amazed someone as reputable as Amazon even carries it. Let's hope for an official release of the movie soon.

Program is Working For Me. Really Happy!

I bought program... did it a few times really did not follow it first two weeks and nothing happened. Then i got smart and followed the program like it said for the next 30 days. Wow I lost the 25 pounds I needed too. The program works if you follow the simple directions. I still do the program for three days when I feel I'm slipping.

Minority Report (Widescreen Edition) - movie DVD cover picture
Best Film of 2002

There are very few movies out there that can make you smile. I'm not just talking about happy go lucky movies, but movies that rivet you with something magical that no other movie contains. The Star Wars trilogy did this, The Matrix did this...Minority Report does this.
John Anderton (Tom Cruise) is a police officer that works for a futuristic unit called Precrime. This division uses three individuals called the Precogs that can see the future to stop murders before they happen. Cruise firmly believes in the ability of the Precogs, as well as their accuracy, yet is fed a taste of his own medicine when the Precogs predict a murder that he, himself, will commit. As a morality tale and as far as the message behind the whole movie was concerned, I was unimpressed, but this was taken away from the sheer magic of the movie's visual effects and the rich individual stories of the characters.
Every element of this movie is spectacular. There are fine performances from Tom Cruise and Colin Farrell, the special effects are some of the best since The Matrix, the story is spectacular and it holds your attention for the duration. You feel caught up in the story, a part of it, which is why you can't turn away, wanting to see what will happen next.
I predict you are running out the door right now to buy this...make me right.

Amelie - movie DVD cover picture

This is probably my favorite movie of all time. The colors that are chosen are very beautiful, it seems as if everything has a greenish tint which is really interesting. The music in this movie is incredibly beautiful, and is quite possibly the best soundtrack ever made. The movie itself is just plain fun! I usually despise romantic comedies, but if thats what you want to call this movie (it really bridges the gap between genres but..), this is an exception. The first 10 minutes are just brief character synopsis, and you will find how quirky and fun this movie is right from the start (the suicidal fish! I love it!) I'd have to say the BEST part of this movie, though, is the garden gnome! The DVD also has the original language track in Parisian French which is interesting to listen to. Such an amazing movie! I would highly recommend it to anyone open-minded enough to deal with a little bit of sex.

A great chessy 80's movie

I can't believe I found this movie, I am so happy!!! My mom and I have been searching for this movie for about 10 years now. I kinda have been giving up the idea of every seeing this movie but just for fun I thought I would look up the movie and see if you had and you did. Then when I got my copy a couple of days ago I remembered how much I loved it even though I was only 6 or 7 when I last saw. I still love it and the theme song ROCKS!!! "When midnight madness starts to get to you doesn't matter what you do, doesn't matter what you say, your going to play..." The song goes something like that but if you are into chessy 80's movies or just want to see a fun flick I definately recommend this one.

Nukes in Space - Rainbow Bombs - movie DVD cover picture
great documentary

If atomic bomb explosions fascinate you, then this is a must-have collection. There are three DVDs:
1. Trinity & Beyond2. Atomic Journeys3. Nukes in Space.
Trinity & Beyond documents the history of the A-Bomb tests from July 16 1945 (Trinity test) to the last atmospheric Test (by China in 1964)
Atomic Journeys visits numerous US & a few Soviet Test sites and there is plenty of footage of explosions at each site.
Nukes In Space deals with among others the Rainbow series of space atom tests - some of which knocked out communications (and worse) in the USA for many hours afterwards.
This collection would have gotten five stars from me but for a couple of minor niggles.
1. Particularly in Trinity & Beyond, the DVD could have done with being an extra half-hour longer to allow longer footage of the various A/H-Bomb tests. As it stands some of the sequences appear very hurried. For instance, the footage of the first H-Bomb test (Ivy Mike) is butchered to hell and the superb original soundtrack is ruined, which IMO spoils some of the most spectacular footage of a nuclear test ever shot. And on occasions the original footage of some tests has been dubbed with CGI enhancements which don't enhance but detract from the viewing experience.
2. There is a heavy USA bias and at times a slightly nauseating USA patriotism portrayed in the DVDs. Understandable I suppose considering they are made in the USA!
But don't let these gripes put you off buying. This is on the whole a well-made, informative and strangely compelling set of DVDs which contain a lot of atom test footage that has never been shown elsewhere. The collection comes highly recommended!
