X-Men rocked

I distinctly remember watching the X-Men cartoons growing up, and reading the X-Men comics as well, and all I have to say is that the movie lived up to all my expectations and more. Granted, some of the things couldn't be simulated perfectly in the movie, and some things had to be changed around for that purpose as well, but 99.9% of the time, that's the case with movies nowadays, including Titanic, and it's won several Oscars.
All I have to say is this. I simply can't wait for the sequel, and I certainly hope I get to see Gambit, Beast, and several others in it.

Joy Ride is as good as "Duel" and "Hitcher" !!!

I avoided this in the cinema here in the UK (where the film was renamed 'RoadKill') based on the lame efforts of a film called Jeepers Creepers. I then started to hear good things about it from people who did watch it.
I finally got hold of it on DVD and I must say JoyRide is a thoroughly enjoyable film, although it does have its flaws (which are so minor I won't go into them). The director's use of lighting and subtle shooting techniques really help you believe the main characters are stranded in the middle of nowhere with a killer stalking them.
The DVD is superb - 4 endings (The original being the best, which was sadly cut from the final release). There is also directors commentary, a featurette and voice auditions for Rusty Nail. If you are sick of corny and disappointing horror/thriller films such as Jeepers Creepers and the like, get thus - it is a genuine delight to find such a film.

Here we go really to heaven!

If humanity believed in this book then man's life on earth may better many times. This book is really spiritual in a great sense. It throws the old and traditional idea within the human mind framework of the so called high values of religion and its practices, to dust. I admire that because those values are really faulty and that religion is prejudiced today, be it Chritianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism or any other religions (I myself am Hindu)! If you want to know why, then read this book. It came out of a Swiss man, if i am right! That is interesting for me to know too and i would try not to forget this book when i die.

The Missing Roads

Just for all the moaning minnies out there, there's a very simple answer to the question of the Road movies missing from this set.
The set comprises of all the Road movies produced by PARAMOUNT pictures - the others were produced by different studios, so couldn't be included. Nothing to do with good or bad sense, all down to rights.
Don't get too down hearted, they're all widely available anyway!

Shogun DVD at last!!!

I've been holding on for the DVD release of Shogun for a few years now. Finally back in Sept. my wait was over. I remember watching this series as a child on TV. Ever since then it has touched me in my early years and lasted into my adult life. Now much older I got to enjoy it all over again and I think have a better understanding. Having both lived in Japan and visited 8 times now I can say they do a semi-good job for ?O?`?l. If you like loves stories, mixed with Samurai action and those mixed into a strange culture learning films you'll enjoy this one. Also you can actually learn a little Japanese in one of the episodes if you pay attention to whats being taught.

Ok, well, I'll admit Orlando's lines seemed at times a little strained, but he sure is pretty. I wanted to see this movie since I read a review that called Johnny's "Jack Sparrow" role "Fey." I have to say, that is one word for it, but it does make for some pretty hilarious moments.

We Love Praise Baby!

This is the second Praise Baby DVD that we have purchased. Our 17 month old daughter loves these DVDs! In fact, all our kids, ages 9 years to 17 months, enjoy these DVDs. The songs are so uplifting and the pictures are very interesting to little ones and adults alike! This DVD has some songs that I have never heard before as well as many old favorites. I highly recommend this as being a good thing for your baby and for your family.

Two Thumbs Up

I think this movie should be 1000 stars instead of five. My favorite part of the movie was when Alfalfa and Spanky got dressed up in tutus. Another favorite part was when Uh-huh kept saying uh-huh! I'm this movie's biggest fan. No one loves it as much as I do. Katie Z.
