A Wonderful Movie for All!!!!

A friend highly recommended this movie to so I rented it one rainy afternoon. I was never a fan of animation, that is until I saw My Neighbor Tororo. This movie was wonderful! It's a touching tale of the friendship between two sister and a bunch of wonderful and friendly totoros. The soundtrack is fabulous and the animation/artwork is indescribable. I went out the next day and bought my own copy of this movie and became a collector of Totoro stuffed toys, posters, etc..., and also a great admirer of Hiyao Miyazaki. He is truly a master storyteller and Disney really needs to get it together and release his movies (I believe they bought the right for American distribution) and release his other masterpieces to the public. People of all ages will be captivated by this magical tale.

This is one of my top 10 favorite movies of all time...

This movie really explores an interesting relationship between a gentle, wise old black man and a white wealthy Jewish woman. I've seen this movie again and again, but I love it a little more each time I see it.
The timeline - chronicling several decades from the late 1940s - 1980s - makes for an interesting story alone. The dynamics of their relationship - the interdependent friendship - the rules of Jim Crow South - it all makes for a fascinating tapestry of an ever changing relationship.
Great, great movie.

Charming Children's Movie

Monsters Inc. has one of the the most delicious storylines that Disney has dared to dream up in a while. The monsters' job in this flick is to scare children, but not for the reasons you may think. They collect the screams of children and turn them into much needed energy for Monstropolis. These monsters are terribly frighteningand collect many screams but in all actuality are terribly frightened of the children themselves. The fun starts when one child wanders through her closet and plops into the world of the monsters. John Goodman, the best scarer also has the biggest heart and wants to get her back home before the monsters know she's there and destroy her. Aided by his best friend they begin their journey on the run and eventually grow fond of the girl who they ironically nickname.... Boo! A few unexpected twists takes you to the very predictable ending as all ends well and with a few tears from me as well. What can I say....I still cry at The Lion King. A fun flick that your kids are sure to love and who can protest any movie that will help them NOT be afraid of the monsters in their closet.

Hitchcock's cynical masterpiece!

Picture this- you're lying prone on the shower floor; water splashes against your naked Janet Leigh-like body- you have a couple grand in a bag on your bed- you've just been stabbed by a man in a dress- what movie are you in? I don't know. But until I remember, let me talk about Psycho.Blah blah blah, you've all seen it. But did you know that the shower scene WASN'T directed by Hitchcock?Neither did I... Until I read it, of course... And that gives me a singular, undeniable conclusion. Hitchcock made this movie for putzes. He probably said something like "I'll make a cornball slasher film (which he did), tell everybody the entire plot in a very long add (which he did), kill the star in the first half (which he did), and I bet you, it'll be a smash, and dumbies'll be writing about it for years to come (they are)."Well, it is scary...Oh yeah! PSYCHO! That scary movie with Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh! I want a sandwhich! Please buy everything at Amazon.Com! Thank you!

Better than God Made Me!

This was very entertaining and more of an attention getter than God Made Me for my boy. He loves the puppet shows and I am impressed with the creativity in bringing the story of Noah's Ark to life for my child. Great colors!!

The Great Denzel Washington in "The Hurricane."

The Hurricane in my thought is the best movie of the decade. It shows what had really happend in life back when all the whites were racist. All the hardships the whites put the blacks through. The whites cops always accusing the blacks for crimes. Always trying to take all the blacks down and get rid of them all. This movie relates to this subject in history. In this movie Rubin the "Hurricane" Carter, a boxer, is played by the great Denzel Washington. This part was really meant for Denzel, he played the part absolutly marvolous. In the movie Rubin was trying to be taking down for a crime that was commited by a white person. A white cop who has always hated Rubin blamed him for the murder and took him down. Then Rubin was sent to court and was sent to jail by a white judge. Given up on his hopes of getting out of jail, a black boy that had read his book that he wrote, came to help him with a couple of white people, which proved not all the whites were racist. During this time in history most whites were racist but a few tryed to help the blacks. Those were the smart people in that time. The blacks are no different than the whites. We are all the same. Which it took a long time for the whites too figure out. There are still some whites now that are racist. To find out what happens to Rubin you'll need to watch this great movie. I encourage you to see this movie. I have seen tons of movies and "The Hurricane" was definetly my favorite of them all.
