Wow! This Blew Me Away!

Denzel Washington is powerful, ingenius and excellent as Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter, who was wrongfully accused of murder. The excellent Vicellous Reon Shannon plays a 13 year old Canadian boy who tries his hardest to stand up for what he believes in - Rubin's innocence.
This is one of the best of the year, Reon Shannon gives a powerhouse performance and Washington in his best role yet. See it.

Jason and the Argonauts - movie DVD cover picture
If only they made movies like this today.

Jason and the Argonauts was a favourite of mine as a child. Back then, I didn't have the same discriminating tastes and scepticisms towards special effects. Even today I find that special effect work of Ray Harryhausen stands up remarkably well. The classic story of the Golden Fleece is aided greatly by Harrynhausen's monsters, such as the Giant Talos or the horrible Harpies. But nothing beats the final skeleton battle. This sequence remains an astonishing work. It is a seamless battle between humans and special effects skeletons. The acting is the old-hollywood style, but for the subject matter it is perfect. Heroes seem like Heroes, villains like villains, Hercules like Hercules. The pace is quick and the locations are excellent and always very authentic. Jason and the Argonauts may not impress everyone. Many of today's kids will merely exclaim "that's so fake looking!". But those with more imagination and a greater appreciation for classic story-telling will dig Jason and the Argonauts. Also, anyone who is growing tired of the over-used CGI, which often looks too much like a video game, this is a refreshing change.

Some Disney movies are bad, this is not

I am 14. I don't like most of the anual Disney movies. Mulan was an exception. It was realy good. but.. I think they showed too much of the movie in the previews because there were not very many big scenes in the movie that were not in the previews. I am disapointed about this Tarzan thing coming out this summer.

"Birdy" A Great Action Movie!!!!

This is one of the best kick-ass animes ever! Birdy, an alien girl of the Space Federation, comes to Earth to track down outlaws. But along the way she gets into an accident that nearly kills meek worrisome schoolboy Tsutomi Senkawa. In order to save him, his body becomes fused with hers whereas one can change into the other at appropriate times. Together, with Birdy's super-strengh and powers combined with Tsutomi's knowledge of Earth culture, they both embark on various adventures, the main one dealing with a serum that could turn people of Japan into lizard-like mutant soldiers, which carries off to the next video. What I like much was the animation which is very colorful and often exciting to watch, with a sharp visual sytle that helps a lot. The plot is good and I enjoyed the interaction between Birdy and Tsutomi, the villians and starnge monsters they're up against, and the Sankawa family, which don't know about Birdy though there have been some close calls, some mildly comical. The amine also features some of the most awesome action scences in moviedom, especailly the scence where Birdy and a mutant battle it out among the Tokyo skysrapers, causing some hefty property damage. Such is handled excitingly with great graphics, and lot more intense, with great pacing then the "shoot-them-up/blow-them-up" flicks from Hollywood. I highly recomend the Birdy the Mighty videos for any animation fan looking for a good adenture.

Gone, But Not Forgotten - movie DVD cover picture
For those who think this is a bad movie...

I'm not gonna go into a lot of detail about the plot of this movie but instead I'm gonna focus on the two things that were truely horrible with this film. The acting was an atrocity. I've seen better performances at high school plays. The dialogue was equally bad and you will find yourself nodding off for most of this film. The one thing that was done well (moderately) in the film was the love scene...which was not graphic but slow and sensual. Other than that there is nothing good to say about this dvd. The best thing about this dvd was the cover. Do yourself a favor and skip this one. A complete waste of time!

Holiday In The Sun [2001]

I don't care what people say I like this movie. It's the only good Mary-Kate and Ashley movie!

The Plot: Alex and Madison are twins who really want to go to Hawaii for thier winter break with thier friends but are dissapointed when they have to go to Alantis with thier family. They are going with the Greysons who have a son Griffen who crushes on Madison. Alex crushes on Jordan who's boss is the most hated man in Alantis. Alex makes a enemy with Brianna who also crushes on Jordan who isn't going to stop untill she gets him. Madison must deal with Scott a dumb guy who has a crush and makes up lies to get Madison. The crew along with the boys must bring Chanplain who is the hated man down and they end up in Jail! Movie: 5/5

Extras:3/5

Play's Us Aganist The World Video 5/5
Sneak Peeks= 2/5 All of MKA'S Movie trailers.

People possibly haven't seen this and they just want to give this movie 1 or 2 stars because they hate the Olsens. I suggest seeing this movie and reviewing the Movie instead of the twins themselves. I read several reviews before deciding to buy the movie there are alot of "I Hate The Olsens" etc. I suggest seeing this movie and reviewing the movie.

Blazin music, and of course beautiful women.

"Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle is one of best videos I've watched in a long time. The reason why is simply because out of all (and I mean all) the movies that I've seen that showed that much content, I always got bored of waiting for the next scene that it was typical for me to just fast forward it to the next scene. But with Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle I didn't even fast forward it. I didn't fast forward it because the soundtrack was great and the female were fine as can be." "I would recommend this video for every adult Snoop fan, and even those that aren't Snoop fan's but just like watching those type of movies, If you watch this video and your not a Snoop fan, you will become one"

I think this season wasn't as good as 1-6 and 8. But it was better than 7 IMHO. But I still feel that the series could've ended with season 8 and gone into another movie to conclude the mythology.
But since it didn't, we got a lackluster two-part season opener to conclude the two-part season finale of season 8. It was ok, but I felt let down a bit after how good season 8 was. And we also got an unsatisfactory conclusion to the underrated and cancelled "The Lone Gunmen" TV series in an X-files episode called "Jump the Shark": (...)Ok, I'd be fine with it if they'd make another movie where we actually get to see them beat the aliens. It doesn't have to be like Independence day or anything, but just have a similar concept in the sense that we have to "fight the future" and win. I think most X-Fans wanted to see Mulder receive justice for his beliefs since he was mocked throughout the entire series because of his belief in aliens, and also us winning against the aliens. But so far, the creators of The X-Files say that the next movie will be a stand-alone movie and not about the mythology (although I read recently that the person who played the alien bounty-hunter in the series is cast to be in the movie, so maybe they changed their minds). I'm sure it'll be a great movie, but I still think we need more conclusion to the alien mythology than what we got.
Overall, this season was good, but not great. Some poor decisions were made, but ultimately we still got many cool stand-alone and mythology episodes.
Good season.
