Wonderful Movie!

"The Grail" is episodic, silly, and thoroughly fun. Much like their "Life of Brian", this film lampoons not only the source material, but the people of time as well. No one escapes unscathed, and fans of Monty Python will giggle all the way through.

The Inspiration for a Generation

This was the movie that set it off for Popping (the type of robotic dancing performed by Shrimp) across the country. Being a popper from back in those days, I was given some major tools when I watched this movie. Watching Shrimp dance legitimized what we were doing in the streets as art all it's own...a dance form that startedin was elevated from, but never left the Streets.
The movie is fantastic. The acting is appropriate for the subject matter. If you're looking for Oscar award winning entertainment, go see a Denzel movie. If you're looking for str8 up entertainment, then peep this one.
Shrimp's scene with the broom is off the chain. Ginuwine did pretty well in his copy during one of his music vids...but there's nothing like the original...besides........I'll BURN Ginuwine!! ;^) (LOL)

The Allman Brothers Band - Live at the Beacon Theatre - movie DVD cover picture
Dickey was great but...

After reading some of the negative reviews about this DVD,it only shows me how shallow those people are. The band was about to go defunct. It was either Dickey goes or the band breaks up.A do or die situtation if you will. Now as fate has it, the band has taken another turn in the pages of history and has become full again. The current lineup is as good as it gets, period.Everyone is having a good time and enjoying playing again.Dickey was just dragging them into the ground. His attitude was making it tasking to play. It just wasn't fun anymore. With that said, This DVD is simply amazing. The audio and video quality is superb. Three full hours of brilliant music and a most interesting candid interview with the band. This makes this package a must for old and new ABB fans alike. I own countless concert DVD's and this is the one I always go back to and watch over and over again. Don't hesitate to buy this truly classic DVD. You'll be mighty glad you did.

every bauhaus fans dream come true

every time i buy a music video/dvd i hold my breath . anymoreall you can find are shakey low fi productions that are sodistracting , you cant even watch them . thank satan that someone had the presence of mind to realise that the four members of bauhaus are all the art anybody needs . beautiful straight shot of bauhaus in new york , interview segments and audience comments are tastefully brief and inserted between the songs , not during . if anybody has seen black sabbath's "last supper" you know how annoying it is to get to the solo and be all ready to get "rocked" and boom , you got some dry rap about "who cares-what" . the director here lets it go . i've never been happier with a music video . my only complaint is running credits through "the passenger" , to hear peter murphy do iggy pop is a treat . though , so you get what you get . THE SCARIEST VAMPIRE MOVIE EVER MADE!...

First aired in 1980, this TV production of the Stephen King best-seller made a smooth transition from book to screen, and it's still a great scare after more than 20 years. Pretty faithful to King's vision of the town cursed by vampirism, there's some pretty good acting, though David Soul is somewhat annoying with a probably unintended self-righteousness. Beyond that, the supporting cast is stellar, from the late James Mason as the villianous protector of "The Master" to the late Lew Ayres and Kenneth McMillan as witnesses to the evil they cannot (nor want) to understand. The real scare, though, is the small town locale in which no one of the townsfolk can escape being affected. There are apparently two versions on the market, one so badly edited (apparently for time considerations) that the continuity is so discontinuous that all we get is a muddled maze. Go for the longer version. It's a great three-hour spook.

This Movie Will Go 'From Here to Eternity'

In the fight scene between him and Borgnine in the alley did they use real switchblades? Method actors insist on doing the real thing so much while making movies it's hard to say. If it did the scene the scene takes on a real life significance in a bad way. Also, did Clift really dig that hole himself that his Pruitt character is forced to dig as punishment? And what about Clift's violent fight scene with John Dennis? The real thing again? If so boy are most method actors crazy.

As for the rest of the film well it is believable enough. Some vagueness here and there. Is that really his captain/her husband
Lancaster sees coming while him and Kerr are listening to the excellent Hawaiin band? We aren't sure. It could just be a guy that looks like her husband. I love Donna Reed especially in this movie. Her dance hall girl character is sexy and appealing. I love the Pearl Harbor attack. Very believable in the way it is handled. Lancaster is brilliant to watch as always.

rurouni kenshin fans listen up! you'll love this series!...

WOW!!!! Samurai Deeper Kyo! What can I say! It??s definitely a five star anime! There??s romance, sword fights, ninjas, comedy, drama and much much more. The characters are well developed and drawn so superbly. The animation is top notch. The music is just really awesome. There??s something for everybody. The story line is somewhat similar to rurouni kenshin??s yet it still has a story of its own. [...]. Well it gets greater every episode. Like I said, this is something for everyone and even if you don??t like samurais and fighting, you??ll definitely enjoy this series!!! I??ve said enough so now that you heard so much about it, go out and buy it! I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do!

The best show on television

Without a doubt this is the best show on television. I felt like I was watching a blockbuster movie rather then a basic cable television show. Everything about The Shield is excellent from the Michael Chiklis potrayal of good guy, bad cop Vic Mackey to the top notch camera work and script. This show will have you guessing from one moment to the next and have you glued to the set for the next ten hours.

Wow...

OH MY GOSH!!! This was such a well made film. I love the ending...I almost cried! If you haven't seen Pearl Harbor yet, YOU MUST SEE IT!!!! It is one of the greatest movies I have ever seen. A little gory I must admit, but the love triangle between Rafe, Evelyn, and Danny is great (but it is a bit like an episode of "Dawson's Creek"). It is a great movie and you have to go to see it ASAP!!!
