Ever After - A Cinderella Story - movie DVD cover picture

I love this movie. Most people think that it is a "chick flick" but I know a lot of guys that love the movie. One of my guy friends even made me an ever after t-shirt because he knew how much I liked the movie. If you have seen the movie and love it then you should get the soundtrack. It even has the song during the credits. It is a movie that you can laugh, cry, get mad at the caracters, and even maybe believe.

Evolution Boxed Set - movie DVD cover picture
Evolution is fact

This boxed set would be a great addition to any DVD or VHS collection of any scientists. Of course, if you are interested in learning the evolutionists' point of view, this will also be a great addition. We must remember, however, that evolution is a theory and will never be proven as fact. That being said, the creationists' view is that there is a God. OK. Here's where it gets difficult for some. Evolution is a theory, but creationism is also. I do believe in God; however, no one was there at the time. We HAVE to believe he did all this. Science, on the hand, is basically problem-solving in a methodical way, using evidence. Some of you are saying I'm wrong, and I might be. Nonetheless, science has to rely on "evidence." This evidence leads us to certain conclusions. I used to mix the two (creationism and evolution), believing that God may have created man, but how He did it is the question.I know kmany people will disagree, but creationism gives credit to someone who did things that no one was around to see. Science, on the other hand, must look at evidence and derives conclusions from them. One must remember, however, that theories can always be wrong. Look at Lamarckism or Heackel's ideas. Science is only about our conclusions on a problem.Science cannot, and will not, say there is a God. If they did, we might as well throw everything out of the door. including medicine. If evolution was somehow proven true, wouldn't it be a law as the "Law of Thermodynamics?"

Action packed fun

If you're looking for a movie with action, suspense, blood, and big guns, you'll love this movie. The effects are incredible, especially the first part of the film, before they get shot down over enemy territory. The acting is great and, boy... what an ending. You'll love it!

Very good movie

Even though some people won't like this movie, that is fine, but I really enjoyed this movie. I saw it the first time on cable and was really hooked on it and couldn't get enough of it! Now there are some boring parts but the rest of the movie makes up for it.

Allegro Non Troppo

In 1979, in the town of LYON(FRANCE) i've seen Allegro non troppo. In more of Fantasia of Walt Disney the critical aspect of the life was up by Allegro non troppo. Faschisme, bad love, solitude are seen in this film, all the scenes can bee saw by all the eyes, and like the scenes are make with true idea the music stay in you.I became a lover of 'la valse triste' de Sybelius. Since 1979 i can never see again this film.In France the video are in PAL or SECAM.If someone have a version of Allegro non troppo on a DVD or a video with format PAL i thank him to writte me.

Family Guy, Vol. 1 (Seasons 1 & 2) - movie DVD cover picture
Greatest Show EVER!!!

Thus spake the immortal Stewie, the homicidal/matricidal baby with the mind, attitude and accent of a geriatric English baron. In the world of Family Guy it all makes perfect sense, as does Brain, a talking alchoholic dog with many existential issues and a wicked sarcasm. This show had a ton of talent behind it, both in the writing and the voice-overs. Unfortunately, they got a little to bawdy and un-PC for network TV and we must be satisfied with three short seasons of brilliance that will never be duplicated. This show is totally unique and so chock full of gags and one-liners that you will watch it over and over. The animation is hilarious too.

Midnight Cowboy - movie DVD cover picture
A gritty New York with all its contrasts and inconsistencies

An academy award winner in 1969 in spite of having an X rating, this is one of those classic films that have aged well. British director John Schlessinger, in his first American film, captured the gritty sordidness of New York City, as it was in those days, with all its contrasts and inconsistencies. We see a man sprawled on the sidewalk in front of an upscale jewelry store being ignored by passersby.
Jon Voight is cast as Joe Buck, a young man from Texas who comes to New York with the dream of becoming a male prostitute. Dustin Hoffman is Rico Ratzo Rizzo, a the crippled street-wise hustler who first cons the young Texan and later befriends him. Together, these two outcasts form a strange bond as they struggle to survive on the streets of New York. Joe Bucks' story is told with flashbacks and surreal fantasy sequences, which seem unfocussed at times, but give us an understanding of who he is. Ratzo, however, doesn't need this kind of cinematographic background; his quirky character is all right there.
The film is full of memorable characters - Sylvia Miles as an aging Park Avenue woman with a thick New York accent who considers herself "one helluva gorgeous chick", John McGiver, the religious nutjob who Joe Buck thinks will give him connections to rich women, and Brenda Vacarro who takes Joe home with her after a psychedelic party. There's a memorable soundtrack too -- "The Echoes of My Mind". And then there's the memorable conclusion which takes place on a bus headed for Florida.
I loved this video but it's not for everybody. It's downbeat and sad and disturbing. But it says something about human nature and human connection. And it pictures a way of life that might not be pleasant but is a reality. Recommended.

The original Living Dead Dolls...

I am a collector of Living Dead Dolls. If you aren't familar with them they are these creepy dolls that are made to look like demonic children. Go to a search engine if you want to learn more.
Anyhow, the movie "Dolls" really reminds me of my collection. The dolls in this movie are made from the dead, after all. They are also very eery. The special effects in this movie are unbelievable. You HAVE to see this film if you love collecting Living Dead Dolls. Oh, and watch out for the two girls in this movie that are dressed up like Madonna--very 1980's indeed!
I just hope this movie gets re-released soon. It deserves another shot at immortality with horror fans.
