Family Guy, Vol. 2 (Season 3) - movie DVD cover picture
Why the ?Family Guy? is terminated?

Only people who have something to say need freedom of speech. Depriving us, Americans, the proud nation of any part of this freedom is as bad as taking homes and lives away from people in, say, Africa. Why the "Family Guy" is terminated? Who did it? You can teach a monkey to fly to the moon, you cannot teach it to laugh of make funny jokes. For ones we got something truly funny on TV. Some refuge from the un-memorizeable shows with featureless characters. Write to your senator and point to the fact of censorship. Who is there to decide which TV shows are good or bad for us? Elected officials, or market? Senator Joseph McCarthy.

Will have your attention from beginning to end

I bought this dvd because I have been a big fan of other interactive dvds such as Dragon's Lair, Space Ace, and Tender Loving Care. This dvd lived up to my expectations.
It is definitely and improvement from the company's previously released titled "Tender Loving Care". Point of View is more interesting, and the dvd is the appropriate length. It will only take you about 2 hours to view the dvd from start to finish and make all of your choices.
The acting is fairly good, and I found that I was engrossed in the story from start to finish. The only complaint I have is that I am skeptical about how much my choices REALLY influence the storyline. I have went through the movie twice making different choices each time. The only difference was the ending scene. All other scenes were the same. That was a little disappointing.
One other thing to mention is that Point of View deals with mature themes. The questions that you are asked to answer are quite personal. So don't expect to view this with a big group of friends.
Still, very much worth the purchase. I hope for more movies like this in the future.

The Matrix Revolutions (Full Screen Edition) - movie DVD cover picture

Since when did everyone who gets a computer get a MBA from NYU in Film and Theatre Arts? I was just wondering becuase everyone wants to slam this movie and I bet a hundred bucks that atleast 75% saw Star Wars 2 and said oh yeah that sucked and bought that when it came out on DVD. Now that se(pre)quel series sucks. Despite the heavy influence of the New Testament in the Matrix movies, these are cinematically excellent. Great special effects, I mean these directors sought out to make a walking talking anime movie. And they did it hands down inviting the world to both the good and the cheesy. I don't think that they were looking for nods from the Academy critics. If you want to have some fun and maybe be left with something to talk about with your buddies over some beers get this. Even if you didn't see the first two,(if you didn't where have you been)no I am kidding, get it anyway, make yourself figure out all the supposedly obscure and awesome metaphor within the story. It is about computer software. A virus and a virus program. Just sit back and enjoy a action movie. It was better than Gladiator Two, I mean the Last Samauri, I mean every movie that has come out, I mean Troy, I mean every movie that will come out. Enjoy it.

Unpredictable plot with great actors.

Anthony Hopkins seems to improve with age, and Freejack is proof of that. Amanda Plummer plays off-the-wall roles well. Jonathan Banks was a good smug, arrogant, power-hungry type. Even Mick Jagger was fun to watch. One little annoyance was the cute little phrases someone felt compelled to put into the script before any real action took place. But even some of that was done really skillfully.

Even Better in English

This has to be the most amazing film I have ever seen in my life!!! I first saw it several years ago on the big screen and it blew me out the back of the theatre!!!! That it is now readily available on video is a source of celebration for me!!! Anyone who enjoys violent, trashy, action-packed viscera of the Hong Kong variety, should own this awsome powerhouse of a film. It leaves an indelible mark on the viewer which leaves you talk ing about it for years (sometimes to the detriment of your sanity!!!!) Forget Jackie Chan, Chow Yun Fat and the rest of their buddies... this is the ULTIMATE HongKong action adventure!!! The Eastern equivialent to Peter Jackson's BrainDead, except much MUCH gorier!!!

Tom Hanks Is God

Thisis my favourite film, and its very easy to say that! very touching and cleverly made. the basic story: a retarded man that pushes his way through life with tragedies blocking his path, but only to pull through them all, the truth is this man has a bigger heart than god. The great thing about this film is the realisation that he is not a very clever guy, and at the start of the film he would seem strange and pathetic, but at the end of the film you will realise that he is an incredible kind, tough and deep man. This is amazing the acting is spot on with a great albanian accent from Hanks no other actor could suit the role better than him. The great thing about this film is that parts of it are action, parts of it are romance and other scenes copntain different things. This film is the best ever you really do need this.

Memento (Limited Edition) - movie DVD cover picture

Memento is just one of the most intelligent, innovative, and suspenseful brain teasers to come along in years. Definitely reminiscent of the Hitchockian suspense, where you're guessing until the final scene. Memento is abot a man who's short term memory has been destroyed and he is trying to puzzle together the clues to who murdered his wife and who assaulted him and gave him this condition. The movie is brilliant in the sense that we are as clueless as the main character Lenny, we are trying to piece things together with him and in doing so we question our own memories and interpretations of the facts. Guy Pearce is swift and glides gracefully from scene to scene with that fragment of fear upon his face like anyone in a condition where they couldnt remember one thing from the next. We totally empathize with his character and we are totally right there with him with each lost and lingering gaze. Memento is so smart that it out smarts even the most intricate investigator, it makes you apart of the puzzle. You become the eyewitness. The eyewitness who can only see what they want too and process the facts. By this movie's end, you'll question what you've seen and heard and wonder have you identified the killer or made yourself the suspect.

The most underated film

Toys, is the most underated film and deserves more credit than most everyone gives it. This movie is full of symobilsm and cunning humor which is often unoticed by the average viewer. Robin Williams is absolutly brilliant and LLCOOL J does a surprisingly wonderful job as well. If you love Robin Williams' "Under the breath humor" then this movie is a must!

Entertaining and with worthwhile messages

Why is it that less than buff guys (especially when made over by Carson Kressley) get the girls? Maybe because the buff penguins regularly threaten to feed the girl, one Marina Penguin, to the sharks or leave her to be ostracized by penguin society (much like we often treat single people) if she doesn't marry one Drake before sunset. How romantic. Meanwhile, Hubie, Marina's milquetoast love, goes through fire and ice to bring her a courtship pebble. Reality check guys: That's romance. And learning to fight for the girl doesn't hurt. The allegories to human behavior make us realize how fundamental our most powerful emotions are. Yes, it's silly, yes, the animation has elements of SECRET OF NIMH (and that's a plus), yes, it wanders, but kids enjoy it and adults can sit through it. It's a sweet story. It's all about the story...and the penguin.

Unsurpassed Social Commentary

Every once in a while, a movie comes along that smacks you right in the face - a film that shakes to the cores some of the basic assumptions by which we lead our lives. Fight Club is one such movie. David Fincher's brilliant adaptation of the Chuck Palahniuk novel packs more philosophical punch than practically any big-budget Hollywood film around, and yet still manages to entertain on a superficial level thanks to brilliant performances by Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham-Carter.
Without going into any details about the movie and its message, I can say with certainty that Fight Club will strike a chord with many people (admittedly most of them male). Further, this movie is replete with memorable quotations, and would be worth purchasing for that reason alone. I remain awed by the sheer number of 21st century aphorisms contained in this movie's dialogue.
Be forewarned, however, that not everyone will enjoy this movie. Some viewers will feel repulsed by the action, and some will either dislike the film's message or miss it entirely. However, if you want your movies to challenge you, then you mustn't miss Fight Club.
