When Will ALL Seasons Be Available?

This series was the best series I have ever seen. I have every season on VHS. 2 episodes per tape for the highest quality. I NEVER missed an episode and that includes when I delivered my daughter in 2000!! I was horribly dissapointed when the series came to an end. What was I going to watch??? I waited and waited for the series to come out on DVD. I was so excited when emailed me that it was finally going to happen. The DVD is AWESOME! It's worth it just for the extra features! This is a MUST buy...!!

The best season of The Simpsons!

The simpsons season two is even longer and better than the first. This DVD contains 22 episodes and again like in the first lots of extras and eggs. The selection screens are definitly better than in the first. The simpsons make another great season. I recommend fans to buy this DVD but not from Amazon because you can find it for less somewhere else. Another great simpsons season you can add to your collection. In other words go buy it now!

history with healthy doses of lust, intrigue, & brutality

From a story by Alexander Dumas, the famous nineteenth century Afro-French writer (Count of Monte Cristo, Man in the Iron Mask, Three Musketeers, etc). I actually came upon this film only because it had Jean-Hughes Anglade from Nikita and Killing Zoe. He is wonderful but the real scene stealer is Isabelle Adjani! You would never have noticed that she was well over 38 years old when then film was made, she looks so much better than she did 16 years earlier in Herzog's Nosferatu remake. Adjani is absolutely captivating, she has a screen presence that can only be compared to the likes of Ingrid Bergman or Gong Li. If you really like her, check out Camille Claudel which is probably her only other really good film.
La Reine Margot is a luscious political adventure set around the event of the terrible true-to-life St. Bartholomew's Day massacre of 1572. The supporting cast, including Anglade as Charles IX, and Vincent Perez as Adjani's lover La Mole, is consistently superb. If you haven't seen this, you are definitely missing out. La Reine Margot probably helped to influence the similar medieval themed queen epics Elizabeth (1998, UK) and Suriyothai (2001, Thailand), both of which should definitely be checked out if you enjoyed this one. One of the best films of the 1990s.

I'd Forgotten all the Lies

I first watched this brilliant movie last winter. At the conclusion of the showing there was a hush over the entire room. Then a lady said softly, "That Son of a Bi**ch." I was the second to comment. "I knew everyone of these lies....but there were so many I'd forgotten half of them." Greenwald brought them together masterfully!

While no presentation could possibly document ALL of the misrepresentations, distortions, lies, and "BIG LIE" in one riveting hour, Greenwald made a valliant effort and the results were GREAT!

I find it interesting the 2 critical reviews just lambasted the movie, without any rebuttal or critique.I assume they haven't watched Greenwald's "OutFoxed." They should.

Greenwald did a masterful job. The on screen experts provided much needed insights.

I hope Greenwald wins many wards for this fine piece of work.

HALLOWEEN: The Night HE Came Home!

John Carpenter's "Halloween" is unquestionably the best horror film ever made. This film branches above and beyond conventional horror and could almost be on the level of science-fiction, no horror movie will ever touch the scope of this. The movie (technically starting October 31, 1963 in the Town of Haddonfield, Illinois) introduces us to 6 year-old Michael Myers who murders his sister Judith Myers (while dressed in an eerie clown costume) in cold blood. On a raw stormy Halloween Eve Fifteen years later (happening October 30, 1978) Michael escapes from Smith's Grove Warren County Sanitarium. Michael's evil supernaturally transforms him into "The Shape" creating (upon his return) the darkest "HALLOWEEN" Haddonfield has ever seen, however (Don't Fear) The Reaper! He will prey upon youth (teen babysitters) who have no real knowledge of the danger that stands in the shadows. His motive is unknown, however his psychiatrist (Donald Pleasence) knows he is pure evil. Pure evil that will take the life of Laurie Strode's (Jamie Lee Curtis') friends, while finding her deepest courage for survival. Laurie finds her final confrontation with "The Shape" while babysitting a boy named Tommy Doyle, however not even Dr. Loomis can shoot down and stop pure evil, for "The Shape" is gone! In memory of Donald Pleasence and Debra Hill. **Please see my review of HALLOWEEN II.

Superb Film Noir

From the James M. Cain novel this is the finest film of its genre under the masterful of Billy Wilder and an absolute must-see for any devote of film noir. Barbara Stanwyck is at her peak as a lying, cheating, double-crossing blond tramp(who can ever forget her ankle bracelet?) who schemes with Fred Mac Murray to murder her husband for the most base reason - his insurance money. Edward G. Robinson is fine as the insurance investigator who goes by his hunch that there's more than meets the eye than just a simple suicide. With a brilliant script (the double entendres when Stanwyck fobs off the attentions of Mac Murray are a gem!) by Wilder and Raymond Chandler "Double Indemnity" is a spellbinding rollercoaster into a world of murder, lust and betrayal moodily set in 1944 Hollywood. Double Indemnity stands as a towering achievement in cinema when a brilliant script, superb acting and excellent art direction and lighting are under the hands of a master. They just don't come better than this and not to be missed.

For those who write bad reviews for this movie...tsk tsk

Abosulutely positivly wonderful! Anyone true ff fan that thinks this movie was no good should be ashamed of his/her self. As should anyone else that didn't like it. First of all the obvious. The movie looked absolutely gorgeous, when there's parts where you couldn't tell the difference between the animation and real life you know someone did a good job. Second, the story. Yet another Final Fantasy story masterpiece. Some people disliked the shortness of the story but think about it this way. IT'S A MOVIE PEOPLE. I think they did an excellent job of fitting an amazing story in the time allowed. For those people that didn't understand the story, I have one thing to say, see it again, you'll figure it out. For those thinking not to see the movie i leave this. SEE IT, IT IS YET ANOTHER SQUARE MASTERPIECE.
