Very nice set

To answer "alex alexes" question basically only front nudity
is censered. swears r clear as day, and you see don vitos a$$. so if your mom doesnt like that your screwed.

Anyway, i just recived my copy of viva la bam seasons 2 and 3, 2 days ago and i was very plzed with wut i got. all though there is no commentary like on the first season i belive the shear halarity makes up for that and the price I mean this pack cost 30 dollars for 2 season and season one is 22 for 1 season but season one does have more bounus metarial.
These two seasons of viva la bam you get a bilive r funnier then the first season and my favorite is season 3 becuase theres an episode with johnny knoxville and im a big fane of jackass jack ass.
within these two season you get to see things like a crab garb on to rakes "ummm.. you know", and see dunns saran rap wake up. you also get to see bams "mum mum" go insane on a camra man after shes shes vitos tatto of bruce springscen on his ass. i was laughing so hard i started to chough. oh and you get to see bam and friends destroy i think four of vittos cars.
Bonus thing,
there r deleted seances and some r vrey funny i think the makers of viva la bam should put those back into the show and have less commercials

all in all this is a very good box set it has three dsics 2 for the seasons and one for the bonus thing. BUY THIS NOWWWW!!

Best performances by Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson!

The best I've seen in a Romantic Comedey in years, especially with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson. I can honestly say Diane Keaton was Brilliant, caring, and amazing. Now Jack Nicholson was great, no surprises, he was Jack. To then see Diane Keaton acting with Jack and Keanu as a love and sex interest to them was fantastic. Also the bare it all scene by Diane was very surprising, hey if yah got it, why not show it. As Keaton said it doesn't matter how old a person is it is what you feel inside what counts. Diane is adorable, caring and loving and fell in love with someone who stole her heart. She couldn't have played the part any better as she made us laugh and cry as if it were real and she was getting hurt. When I heard her telling (Amanda)Marin, don't be afraid to let someone in ,I did and had the time of my life, go out have fun enjoy yourself, life is what you make it. I cried and laughed, overall I enjoyed this movie immensely, it was excellent.

The Best Musical Comedy Ever Produced!

I fell in love with this film when I was seven years old; I watched it on a B&W television on "The Early Show" in NY (circa 1957 or 1958). I didn't know who any of the stars were - it didn't matter. It was magic to me. From the Hollywood opening (dignity, always dignity), the romp of the elocution lessons (Moses supposes his toes are roses!), and the trial and mostly error of trying to record the sound ("I can't make love to a BUSH!") when the gorgeous leading lady has a voice that rivals nails on a blackboard, all the way to the grown man dancing in the rain and the final rising curtain - pure magic. In glorious black and white - at the time, I didn't even know it HAD colour! I decided then and there, this was my absolute all-time favourite movie. (One of the highlights of my adult life was seeing this wonder on a full, big screen at a revival in the 1970s.) I have seen many films since then; I have reviewed them for friends & family, written reviews for a monthly entertainment publication. I have an extensive collection of my own (VHS & DVD). I know a lot more about films and production values now.
"Singin'in the Rain" remains my all-time favourite film. (No surprise, this.) It's not just another one of "those MGM musicals." It was released in 1952. Dated stuff? Not a bit. Unlike the marvelous "An American in Paris," which was done as a contemporary film to its time, "Singin' in the Rain" is a period film, and it's based in fact.
This film (which started out to be a western for Howard Keel) takes a fond and loving look at the birthpains of the sound film (the "talkies). Set in 1927, with authentic equipment from MGM's own history (Debbie Reynolds drives Andy Hardy's old jalopy, the microphones are real), it details the frantic efforts to get on the sound bandwagon - no one was completely sure of the new technology. What makes the plot classic is the basis in fact. Many silent stars had totally unacceptable voices or speech (too nasal, unintelligible foreign accents, too high, too low, etc.) for sound production. The songs used were true to the period.
Then we have the performers. Jean Hagen was nominated for an Academy Award for her role of Lina Lamont. The character (whose voice you don't hear for the first 10+ minutes of the film, although she's on-screen) is a one-of-a-kind. [Side note: the voice dubbing Lina's line is actually Hagen's normal voice, not that of Debbie Reynold's Kathy Selden.] Reynolds does an admirable job - it couldn't have been easy keeping up with her two male co-stars. It's still a joy to see Donald O'Connor's "Make 'em Laugh," and wonderful to see Gene Kelly teamed with a good male partner for "Fit as a Fiddle" and "Moses". Gene Kelly is, and always shall be, the best and this was done at his peak.
Of course, for anyone who has been living in the back of a cave under a rock (or too young to appreciate it), the title number is a delight. It looks like one continuous take, it is so smooth. This was not the first appearance of the song, but it's the one we all remember. The sheer exuberance of Kelly's performance carries us right along with him.
The extras with this set are valued items for anyone like me who is interested in the backstory of the era and this film in particular. And don't fuss for a widescreen version. This is the way it was. And now it always will be.

the incredibles are incredible!

Alright, I saw the previews for this movie and I thought, yeah right, but I did end up seeing it in theaters. I saw it again. then I rented it. If I had the money I'd buy it.

Pixar Animation Studios does yet another great job with a brilliantly done animation, but also storyline. I is highly original, which is one thing that should be valued, especially in cartoon/animation pictures.

The plot is strong, but I wouldn't be surprised if they came out with a sequel. There's room for this to grow even more.

I do have to say that this was much better on the big screen though, simply because of the nature of the film. It's a kid's action animation. You need a larger screen. Still great though.

I would strongly recommend this piece.

North By Noryhwest(1959) was Hitchcock`s last masterpiece concerning a man who had to prove his innocence(Others were Foreign Correspondent, The Man who Knew Too Much 1938 & 1955, Strangers on a Train and The Wrong Man). THIS was maybe his best on this theme. Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint, James Mason and Martin Landau all excelled in their roles. Opening credits by Saul Bass, photography by Robert Burks and music by Bernard Herrmann also worth credit... North by Northwest, ranks with PSYCHO, THE BIRDS and MARNIE as my all-time favorite Hitchcock films...

A Couple of Flaws on DVD but otherwise Five Stars

First off, let me say the DVD print is amazing - the colours are beautiful and the sound quality is first rate too. No complaints there, and the extras are not bad at all. Some people have critized the audio commentary by John Coates, saying he's boring, etc, but I personally found him quite charming to listen to.
However, there is a big flaw at the 0:25:44 mark, where the 2 channel original mono mix becomes stereo till the 0:42:18 mark. Also I'm not sure if the image is framed properly as even though there is a bit more visible image at the left and bottom of the frame, the top of the image seems to crop the tops of heads at times (I have the VHS version to compare it to). This is quite noticeable during the re-added 'Hey Bulldog' sequence. At the 1:19:29 mark of the movie, during 'Hey Bulldog', John's & Paul's heads pop out of the top of the piano and out of the top of the frame too, whereas they don't on the full-frame video version!
Still, especially when compared to the horribly botched recent re-release of the Beatles' classic movie "A Hard Day's Night" on DVD by Mirimax (you want a butchered fake widescreen image and bad sound, you've got it) this Beatles' Yellow Submarine DVD is definitely worth buying. The movie itself is a classic and even with the flaws I've mentioned I have to give it a full FIVE stars.
