Very good William Castle film

As I watched this film, I was prepared for a cheesy haunted house flick, but I dicovered the essence of this film that makes it remain a classic after forty-one years. As the opening titles are about to set out, we see the twelve ghosts that haunt the house throughout the film. Some look shocking, but others are cheesy. Oh well. The story centers around a family that inherits a house and find out that it is haunted, much to the son's excitement. They enter the house and discover that it really is haunted. But watch out for the laywer that handled the estate before the uncle's death. Also, watch for the witch like housekeeper that seems too creepy to be true.Overall, a good movie to watch, but not a terrifying film that other movies may supply.

Grows with your child

We've owned our copy of these three episodes of "Bear in the Big Blue House" since mid-July, when our son was only 9 months old. Today he's 14+ months old, and there hasn't been one day, since he watched Bear for the first time, that he hasn't loved it. Bear is both entertaining and educational: playing with songs, words, shapes and a host of colorful characters (personally I love Tutter!), my son cannot avoid enjoying himself and smiling every time we put this DVD on.

An Entertaining Adventure that's as Addictive as Cocaine

For anyone who is not a fan of the show, let me tell you about my experience with these DVD's. In the spring semester of 2004, my roommate and me were delivered a challenge by a fan of the show: to finish the entirety of Season One before the end of the semester (one week away). Neither of us were fans of the show or had seen any episodes, but we couldn't back down from a challenge, now could we?

We watched the opening pilot and soon found ourselves devouring the first disc of Season One. We were soon back on our fan's doorstep, begging for disc two. We easily lauged away the challenge and, in the process, became thorough fans of the show. The reason is simple: _Stargate_ has good characters and an excellent plot device: the gate. This device provides an endless array of missions and storylines and because this is sci-fi, there are no limits to the imagination. While it certainly is still a television program, these episodes are a lot of fun to watch and you will get addicted. Trust me. You cannot just buy a single season.

Just be warned: once you pop, you can't stop. This stuff is like candy.

TV Version Very Good--Extended Version Much Improved

I opened and demo'ed this DVD at my store because Kim Possible is a very fun and well-written cartoon above all the rest that Disney makes right now. Everybody walking by the bigscreen TV was really hooked by the opening sequence. I expected this "Extended Version" to have just a few more dialogue scenes, when what to my wondering eyes should appear: a highly extended and dynamic Shego/Kim fight scene in the Bermuda Triangle club (flying dishes and chandeliers!), rocking underwater combat action, and a couple little transition scenes that really improved the flow of the plot. That's not even mentioning two extra deleted scenes and a whole unaired extra episode that just cracked me up and dovetailed with an older episode while building Kim and Ron's impending romance. A must buy, especially if you buy A Sitch in Time also.

Brilliant Series Dips Deeper

The last season ENDED in a brutal cliffhanger with an attempt on the President or Zoe. The last scenes were the staff and bystanders diving for cover as gunmen shot from windows in a nearby building. This season opens trying to untangle the confusion of that night and opens a rich, second season of the best drama on television. We are also treated to some great pre-first season moments, when the staff was managing Bartlet's presidential campaign. From my count there were 17 Emmy nominations this season - for writing, acting, and more - I've noted the episodes that were winners. My only complaint is that they're making us wait so long for these sets, when people overseas have had them already for almost a year - come on, it's OUR idealist leadership. But to quote the deputy press secretary, "let's forget that you're a little late to the party and just embrace the fact that you showed up"

What the TV Series Should have Been

One main complaint I had with the TV series were that there were no over the top villians to compete with the Hulk's strength. These two TV movies live up to the series potentical. The first one; The Return presents the Thor character. While not the best of all the movies it does have a charm and good message to the story to be true to yourself. The second; The Trial presents Hulk fighting along with Daredevil against the Kingpin. This version of Daredevil is superior to the movie becuse it presents Daredevil as he should be. Without the CGI of the modern versions this one one still has legs and still holds up. In fact if a Hulk movie sequel is produced they should take a few lessons from these final TV movies.

The most explosive Inuyasha DVD to date.

One of the most worldwide popular animes, inuyasha, explodes onto dvd once again. And so far,This is the best one yet. This dvd includes 3 episodes, Fantom Showdown:The Thunder Brothers Vs. Tetsigia,Terror of The Acheint Noh Mask,And The Soul Piper And The Mischevious Little soul.3 episodes might seem ridiculus seeing as theres 116 episodes, but trust me,its worth it.I own 15 Japanese dvds and there all low quality, with no features, and the english subtitles suck. The English DVDs are high quality, with great animated menus, and some nice extra bonuses. Here are the descriptions of these 3 great episodes of Inuyasha:The Thunder Brothers.
The Thunder BrothersOne of the most exploding episodes of all time, with lighting, ezplosions, and some really,REALLY cool fight scenes.Part 2 of 2,this one episode is worth buying the whole dvd over. When Inuyasha and Kagome meet a little fox demon named shippo, The Thunder Bros. get involved and kagome ends up being kidnapped. To save Kagome,Inuyasha must confront these two brothers, and take on 5 JEWEL SHARDS!No kidding. This entire episode is action packed and extremly cool.Buy this dvd!
Terror of The Acheint Noh Mask!Kagome goes back to her own time to study for a exam, when out of no were,a acheint flesh eating mask comes back to life, hungry for jewel shards. The Mask treis to obtain Kagomes shards, and have a full body. When the mask attacks Kagome,Its up to Inuyasha to go foward to her era,and destroy the noh mask before it obtains the jewel shards. And excellant episode, packed with action and suspense. Its a must see.
The Soul Piper and The Mystivious Little SoulWhen a young descedead girl tries to kill her little brother,Kagome must protect the boy and save the ghosts soul before being dragged down to hell!A suspensefull episode, with tons of thrills, this is a definate must see episode.

The best movie ever

This movie is one of the best movies ever made by Disney! It contains love, friendship, action, adventure, and even a little bit of comedy. The characters are entertaining, as well as being easy to relate to, and easy to love. The story was charming and fun, and the artwork was bright and colorful. The story had fairly exciting parts, simple parts, and sad parts.

This movie was my absolute favorite when I was little, and is still a favorite of mine now. I recommend it to parents looking for a good movie for their children, kids looking for a nice movie to watch, and anyone wanting to see what kind of movies Disney used to make.

One of the TRULY great love stories of all time...

I recently watched this movie for the first time, I was a bit too young to watch it's original broadcast in 1983 and too understand it at that time. This is a MUST HAVE to any movie collection.
The tragedy of watching Father Ralph DeBricassart fall in love with Meggie, but knowing that he can not be the man to her that he wants to be, and that she wants him to be because of his devotion to God. Watching Meggie grow, and the pain that their "Forbidden" love causes them both.
Follow the lives of Meggie and Father Ralph through their lives, their love, their losses... A truly AMAZING story of love and loss.
