Very fun!

My son (15 months) has been watching this movie for 4 months and absolutely loves it! I enjoy it because the songs are a departure of the "standard" Wiggle songs that appear on the TV show. Cute story line too.

Bravo, Roberto Benigni!

I "fell in love" with this heart-warming film. It is truly an endearing & uplifting love story that will touch your heart & funny bone. This film's qualities greatly surpass that of most films today. It gives new meaning to the word "hope" and makes you thankful for your family, as well as realize that life is precious. It is no wonder Mr. Benigni is Italy's National Treasure. He's truly delightful & talented! And little Giorgio Cantarini is absolutely adorable! I cannot fully put into words how this film made me feel... but it is a film that will be among my most favorites for years to come.

I see how this works!!

Reading the reviews of this movie, you would think that plagerism had never before been invented, that is until "A Bug's Life". Believe what you wish, but in my humble opinion, this movie is everything a movie should be! It has humor, drama, creativity, and an all-star vocal cast! Please buy this movie to form your own opinion, and for heaven's sake - enjoy!

Lady Day Revealed

This video would be worth the money if only for the inclusion of that legendary performance of "Fine And Mellow" for the Sound Of Jazz t.v. special -- probably THE most transcendent moment in music history! The commentary by Milt Gabler during this scene ("They were all champions . . . and SHE was a champion!") and by Billie's former colleagues and admirers throughout this video are distinguished by their intelligence and warmth. For example, the precious and aged Buck Clayton describing his trumpeting behind Billie as simply "filling up the windows". And the insights of the late, great and utterly dignified Carmen McRae are particularly invaluable. I cried more than a few times watching this beautiful documentary and recommend it highly. It's all we have on Billie, and God knows how we need her.

An Excellent movie in its own right

I have to admit to my embarrassment that I have never read the book. In fact I did not know it existed until I stumbled across this movie and saw references to it in the other reviews. So my review must concentrate on the movie alone rather than as a comparison with the book.
Some of the other reviewers commented on how untrue to the book it was. I think this is inevitable when making a modern movie since moviegoers generally aren't as interested in accuracy as they are in how dramatic the movie is (See Pearl Harbor). And as much as some of us may like longer movies (Lawrence of Arabia, Titanic etc), two hours is generally all that most audiences can stomach in our day. That flaw aside, I thought Caviezel played the part of Edmond Dantes wonderfully. First as the innocent and na?ve Young Dantes and then his `re-incarnation' as the knowledgeable Count of Monte Cristo. Guy Pearce also plays the villain quite convincingly. My only criticism is that Luiz Guzman's accent and mannerisms felt more suited to a modern day drama than a medieval romance.
The action in the film, particularly the sword fighting scenes were good but the main attraction of the movie for me was Dantes' perseverance in suffering and his undying love for the woman he loved. This and other elements of the classic novels - jealousy, betrayal, revenge - are still preserved. I think you should enjoy the movie in its own right rather than as a comparison to Dumas' original work. Can any movie really do a book justice? Enjoy this movie for its own sake!

An amazing film and story

Requiem is like a ride - it takes you and won't let go. The film is witty, dark and evocative. It shows the power of addiction and dependence. It is a film that purely emotes - raw and powerful, yet precise and graceful.
A must see!

Sailor Moon is Super S cool!

I love this movie! It is very interesting but kind of messed up. For example during a part when they were riding in Pararu's gandala before Pararu could finsh speaking they cut it and then Sailor Venus started talking. There are some questions you'll have and not find an answer to them. My advice is to get the uncut subtitles. The good things about it is the music and at least they didn't change it that much ; I think.Anyway my favorite part is when Sailor Mini Moon Kisses Pararu at the end:).

Jesus loves you!!!

I believe that any movie that emphasizes the love of Jesus Christ and follows the Holy Bible deserves 5 stars. This movie was moving. One of the reviewers said Jesus "fell in love" in the beginning of the movie -- not true! I highly recommend this movie for a new Christian or someone wanting to get an intimate look into His life and what He did for all of mankind. This movie will bring tears to your eyes as you realize His unconditional love.

A Powerful and HEARTFELT Movie!!!

Latter Days is a movie starring: Steve Sandvoss, Wes Ramsey, Joesph Gordon-Levitt, Rebekah Jordan, Amber Benson, Khary Payton, Jim Ortlieb, Mary Kay Place with Erik Palladino and Jaqueline Bisset as Lila.

This movie is about Aaron (Steve Sandvoss), a mormon missionary, traveling door-to-door in Los Angeles spreading the word of his faith and religion.

Christian (Wes Ramsey), is a cute West Hollywood Party boy, who goes from man-to-man without much committment. Opposites attract when Aaron and Christan meets, and sparks fly.

...........MY ReView.......

After, viewing this DVD like 15 times (literally) after having it for about 2 weeks I still cry because of what torture these two have to indure. This is a Heartfelt film and it has helped me overcome some obstacles dealing with my sexuality and the way people see us.

This is a Must have DVD and also the Soundtrack is awesome as well, I can't stop listening to it.

Much better than the other comic book movies!

It just goes to show you will hardly ever read a negative review of anything on Amazon.com. Billy Zane is a wooden mumbler who may look good in tights but otherwise brings nothing else to this role. There was enough ham in Treat Williams' performance to feed the state of Virginia. The only person who survives this film with a smidgen of dignity is Catherine Zeta-Jones, who brings a sense of flair to her role (perhaps too much; I thought I saw her hair flair at one point). My favorite continuity problem in the film: after Phantom and Swanson leap onto a horse from an airplane(!), watch for the wolf running behind. Sometimes it is in the scene, and sometimes it is not. Finally, why in the world would anyone in their right mind leap through the jungle in skimpy purple tights? At least Batman wears body armor. The Phantom: D-
