Very Good

I loved the movie, but the first time you see it you have to pay attention or you'll be lost. I thought the concept of immortallity was really creative. But What I really liked was that they didn't protray it as all peaches and cream. Immortals do have problems and do have to worry about getting killed contrary to popular belief. I thought the characters were great. The Kurgan was protraryed wonderfully and Ramirez was hysterical. Chirstopher Lambert did a terrific job of portraying Conner. The special effects and annimation was done really well and the romance added the perfect touch. In my opinion this movie had it all.

Unforgiven - movie DVD cover picture
Indeed " a requiem to the wild west "

I've just finished seeing the film so many had urged me to over the years, and I can tell you this: it was worth it.
In the recent years I've caught a glimpse of the nature of the movie here and there, and the main phrase that repeated itself was this movie is " a requiem to the west". I can say that I completely accept this notion ,for once I see it eye to eye with all those critics.
It seems like a realistic movie, giving the feeling that things could've been the way they're presented. I feel like nobody's trying to fool me ,to sell me another fantasy about how heroic the life of men and women were back then .Instead ,I'm given something different than before, a new perspective from another angel of the events ,difficulties and problems people had to deal with in this life style.
I admired the way the prostitudes were shown, not as objects ,but as human beings, though NOT in the eyes of most of the characters. I admired the character of Eastwood as the sphinkx who regained his old outstanding abilities as a gunman, and did what he had to do at the purifying endind scene.
"Unforgiven" is not intended for one deed ,but for two. and that's ,too,TWO good reasons to watch this film .

The Blind Fight...

Bjork creates a painfully moving performance in this film. She plays Selma, an imaginative, working class, single mother whom eventually goes blind. Bjork has to raise enough money for her son to receive an operation for the correction of this hereditary blindness. Her son is not even aware of the situation at hand, but the plot slides through all of the hardships Selma goes through for her son and for herself. This movie portrays what it is like to witness someone who lives their life with complete passion in spite of what has been dealt to them by circumstance. Von Trier's direction is incredible because he keeps his audience enveloped in visually rich scenes, while Bjork's character carries the audience with her voice and talent all the way to the tragically, climactic ending.

Unbelievable transfer to DVD

I saw the Corrs on Saturday Night Live and this Royal Albert Hall concert somewhere on my satellite dish. When the DVD came out, I broke my neck trying to buy it! When I played it on my Dolby Theater system, the sound and picture were unbelievable! The sound on the DVD is so clear, you can actually hear Andrea, the lead singer, breathing in and out while she plays the flute! The crystal clear sound also shows exactly how important Sharon's violin is to the Corr's sound! I highly recommend this DVD!Beauty, massive talent, and maturity (they all look a lot younger than they really are --- Andrea is the youngest at 28, and Jim is the oldest at 38!) I cant say enough about this group!Buy this one before you buy anything else of their's!

Josie and the Pussycats (PG-13 Version) - movie DVD cover picture
Too much fun! How could you not love this?!

Josie McCoy and her best friends, Valerie and Melody, make up The Pussycats, a struggling garage band from the town of Riverdale, U.S.A. They're gorgeous, they're talented, they're a little naive, and they can't seem to get a break in the record business! Little do they know that Wyatt Frame, the main man at Megarecords, is looking for a new act, and he just happens to be looking in Riverdale. After the tragic deaths of the members of his most recent pop sensation find, boy-band Du Jour, Wyatt is desperate to find a replacement. When he stumbles upon Josie and the girls crossing a busy street with their instruments in hand, he signs them immediately, without hearing a single note of music from them. Suddenly, the newly dubbed Josie and the Pussycats are on a rollercoaster ride to fame and fortune, and within a week they have a number one song and a sold out concert on the horizon. But the girls don't know that the sinister music industry has been slipping subliminal messages under their tracks, using their music to sell everything from tennis shoes to Gatorade. When Valerie begins to catch on, Wyatt preoccupies her with the idea that Josie is hogging the spotlight, and when simple-minded Melody ALSO begins to get a bad feeling about things, Wyatt's boss, Fiona, decides the two trouble-making pussycats must be eliminated. Josie and the Pussycats is fun beyond belief. A perfect cast and a smart, funny script carry this movie to a level few comedies have been able to reach recently. The potty humor is to a minimum, focusing the laughs on quirky characters and a great plot about trends and product placement advertising. Despite what some reviewers might say, this live-action version of the famous cartoon band does an excellent job of staying true to the characters, while updating them for a 21st century audience. The excessive product placement is meant to be a joke, not a huge ad. Anyone who says otherwise must have completely not understood the plot of the film, which is pretty sad since it was extremely clear and simple. A warning should be placed on the soundtrack to this movie though. The songs are great, with very sexy voices, but there is a LOT of sexual innuendo here and there. As for the perfect casting I mentioned before, Rachael Leigh Cook is gorgeous and talented as usual, a perfect choice, and definitely one of my top dream-girls. I only wish she had been cast as Sailor Mercury years ago in the live-action Sailor Moon movie that was almost made. Tara Ried and Rosario Dawson were well cast too. Though Tara's character, Melody, aside from being gorgeous, may also seem ridiculously stupid at times, this is only in keeping with the original cartoon character's personality, so God bless 'em for not changing her! Alexander and Alexandra were well cast as well, and really added some extremely funny moments to the film, as did the hilarious villains, Fiona and Wyatt. Alan M. was also well cast, though extremely scrawny in comparison to the original cartoon character, but that's the modern image of a hunk I suppose. Oh, and Du Jour, the boy band parody, was too, TOO funny! Great casting there too! Seth Green is always hilarious! All in all, this is simply an awesome movie! You can't go wrong by buying a copy! Definitely rising in ranks to one of my all time favorite films. As for DVD extras, there's a behind the scenes featurette, great deleted scenes, a hot little Pussycats video, two very funny Du Jour videos, and some other little niblettes. A warning though, for all the other guys like me, who'd do just about anything for a date with Rachael Leigh Cook: Though the Backstage featurette will give you some adorable scenes of Rachael, including seeing her with beautiful, long, brown hair, and again later with hideous, chopped and bleached hair, ha, you will also have to suffer through her going on and on about how gorgeous the guy who plays Alan M. is. It can be a tough segment to watch.

A Big Package For You.

I love simple plan, and they were succesful at creating an awesome music dvd that lets you relive every step of their career with the band, the only thing I could ask for is putting a full live concert on as well (like most bands do on dvds), i bought this expecting live footage and the dvd is definitely lacking there,I don't understand why either because simple plan is such a great live band, but once you pop in the bonus cd that comes with it and contains two live tracks and an awesome new song "crash and burn", you feel completely satisfied. Hopefully they put out a live dvd of some sort in the future, but for now...this rules and is worth the money!

The funniest movie I've ever seen.

Bar none, the best comedy ever made.
Spacey fans will appreciate his exquisite comedic performance as the bitter loser husband. Judy Davis is a superb neurotic nagging wife. And Dennis Leary probably is the funniest I've ever seen him. Every supporting actor is great, as well. The mother is way too close to my own mother-in-law, though, hehe.
We discovered this movie in a video store in 1994 by accident. I cannot understand why it wasn't a monster hit. I have seen this movie at least 15 times and it just gets funnier.
I wish it would come out on DVD!!

Twenty Trucks - movie DVD cover picture
My nephew loves it!

I bought the Twenty Trucks DVD as a present for my nephew's 2nd birthday and he loves it!??I thought it was about one of the cutest things I've ever seen when?he stood and waved "goodbye" to one of the trucks as it honked its horn. The "Can you name Twenty Trucks" song that begins and ends the video?is very catchy. I've caught myself humming the tune more than once. Some of the video clips are better than others. The DVD cover says that it is designed for kids ages 1-8. I would guess that it is better suited for younger kids, maybe 2-5, since the video and narration are fairly basic and might not appeal to older children. All in all I would definitely recommend this video for any young child who likes trucks.

I laughed non-stop throughout the movie. A combination of sex, action, car chases and shoot outs, the likes you've never seen!
Not a kid's movie, but nonwadays, what is?
I salute the writers for their story, the producers for having the courage to make this movie and the rest of the crew that helped.
