Unsurpassable

It's a shame that Brandon Lee wasn't able to experience true fame; this movie would've brought it to him. Throughout the entire movie there's a confusing mix of feelings - wanting to see him obtain revenge, wishing their was some justification for the wrongs done to him, and wondering what mysterious turn the plot will take next. The movie has excellent fighting sequences and wonderful directing. The way Brandon Lee could present himself as such an enraged person, the way he would talk to his victims before exacting his revenge upon them, how he didn't hesitate to do what was necessary, and how after the horrible events that took place a year before he was resurrected, he could still find redemption in his past-life memories. He even managed to twist in a moderate amount of comedy with his angry side, which is in my mind, true talent as an actor. I never knew he was Bruce Lee's son until several years after I saw the film, and even then I found out he had been killed during the making of it. Splicing the morbid atmosphere with a suspenseful rage-filled main character, out to bring justice to his killers, "The Crow" brings a touch of numerous emotions with every scene.
Brandon Lee; may he rest in peace, and never be forgotten.

Funny Movie!!

Oh my gosh, this movie was soooo hilarious! I loved it. I usually don't like "scary" movies because they're boring to me, but this one is worth seeing just because it's so funny! There's a part where the monster has to hobble to the police station and that is the absolute best! The movie has a bad ending, a not very good plot line (in my opinion), and is so not scary at all, but I would encourage anyone who is not scared by "scary" movies to see it for all the laughs it will be sure to bring!

The best war movie ever made

From the traumatic opening sequence to the sad ending, Saving Private Ryan is the best war movie available. Some people criticize the graphicness of the violence, but this is what the fighting of WWII was like. This movie is a realistic portrayel of the Normandy beach landing and the events after.

Saving Private Ryan uses totally authentic gear and weaponry along with an excellent cast. If you have any interest in a realistic WWII movie, be sure to buy Saving Private Ryan.

One of the best movies I've ever seen

This movie was well worth the wait...Josh Hartnett acts so wonderfully in this movie. Other than Pearl Harbor & Black Hawk Down, this has to be one of his finest. Stiles and Phifer do a wonderful job as well. It was well worth the wait...I like the ending quite alot. "One of these days, everyone is going to pay attention to me. One day, I'm gonna fly too..." -Hugo (Josh Hartnett).

Sleepaway Camp

A campy horror film. A must have for the advid horror fan's collection. Welcom to camp Arawak, where teenage boys and girls learn to experience the joys of nature, as well as each other. But when the happy campers begin to die in a series of horrible accidents, they discover that someone or something has turned this summer of fun into a vacation to "dismember". Has a dark secret returned from the camp's past... or will an unspeakable horror end the season forever. From its grisly special effects to the truly shocking climax, Sleepaway Camp is no ordinary "body count" movie. This is the best one of the trilogy.

The weird season.

I love rurouni kenshin I own the ova's I have the motion picture and I also have the wandering samurai premium box. I am saving up my money for the legend of kyoto premium box I might buy it next month. I know people been disin this season because the story was weird or it was just filler episodes but I don't care about them because I know the series have never let me down and this season doesn't make a different. Once I get the Legend of Kyoto premium box at suncoast later, I will get this premium box right after, altough this season is a bit confusing and weird I will get this anyway.

The Black Stallion - movie DVD cover picture
The best horse Movie ever!!!

You don't want to miss out on this wonderful family film about a boy and his dog. The fact that Caleb Deschanel was not - huh? - a horse? Oh, yes, of course! A horse. A wonderful family film about a boy and his horse. -------- The fact that Caleb Deschanel was not even nominated for an Oscar for his extraordinary cinematography in THE BLACK STALLION goes to prove what a dog and pony show the Academy Award presentations really are. (Dang! How'd that dog sneak back in here again?) Deschanel's poetic work in this film belongs in an elite class which also includes KOYAANISQATSI and ONE FROM THE HEART. -------- Kelly Reno's work also belongs in an elite class of highly developed performances by child actors which also includes Bobs Watson in ON BORROWED TIME and Haley Joel Osment in THE SIXTH SENSE. -------- But what I really want to focus on with this review is something that only my fellow reviewer Candace Scott seemed to fully appreciate and note in her July 3, 2003 assessment: I was fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity to do a little (VERY little) professional acting in the late l970s and early '80s. It was a craft I seriously studied for many years, and having learned a bit about it, I'm here to say that MICKEY ROONEY's naturalistic performance in this movie is one of the finest ever filmed! I watch THE BLACK STALLION every couple of years and end up slack-jawed every time! -------- In acting there is something known as "False Notes", and these occur when a performer falls out of character and/or plays to the camera or audience. Even the greatest of thespians are guilty of committing False Notes in every performance. MICKEY's performance as horse trainer Henry Dailey may be the only PERFECT performance I have ever seen. Does it seem like he just isn't doing much? Does it seem like he's hardly even acting? EXACTLY!!! The viewer simply can't catch him "acting", and that's the whole point! His actions, his reactions, his speech patterns are so organic to the character he's playing that it simply floors me!!! He may have played a False Note for a brief moment in the scene where he reassures Alec who sits on the car bumper in the rain-soaked night. Maybe. MAYBE! It's arguable. I've seen many an extraordinary performance in my (nearly) 45 years, but this one is really something special. (You actors out there know exactly what I'm talking about, don't you?) There are many excellent reasons to see this film, but Mickey is the best of them. At least for me. -------- I suppose I should mention the movie's one notable flaw even though it is of such little consequence: The editing in the horse race always disturbs me a little. As they cut from the closeup on the thundering hooves to the long establishing shot and then back again, it leaves the false impression that The Black's position changes in the field of horses. But c'mon, are we gonna let a little detail like that spoil such an overall artistic success for us? No way! The bottom line is: THE BLACK STALLION is a real winner; you can bet on it!

Sweeeet

If you've seen just a couple of Invader Zim episodes and liked them, then you're going to love this...I had only seen 3 episodes on Nickelodeon before buying this, and it's well worth the money. This show is hilarious! The only problem was the region code 1, which couldn't play on my dvd player which is region code 4...just make sure before you buy it (if you live outside America) that you at least have a dvd burner on your computer, which allows you to play any region code, then copy it with a program that lets you change the region code so you can play it on any dvd player.
