By far and away, the best segment of Robotech, the Masters Saga is the linchpin of everything in Robotech. More visceral and adult than the pedantic Macross Saga, The Masters Saga focuses on the efforts of the Army of the Southern Cross to keep Earth from becoming a slave colony to the viscious and technologically superior Robotech Masters.
This will be the first of two boxed sets of the Robotech Masters Saga of Robotech on DVD
If you want to know why Robotech is Robotech...this is a must have. As with all the DVDs by A.D. Vision...it will be superb and bring back memories for those of us who loved Robotech during our adolescent angst-filled teen years.

I usually bring my sister wherever in the world I am at Christmas time. She knows I have a copy of Scrooged, but she brings one of her own anyway...full redundancy.
This movie is hilarious on every level. It's chock full of obvious simple humor, but you can "dive deep" for humor at almost any point in time and find some unique absurdity that must have had the writer laughing his a@# off at the time of writing.
I've you've never seen...well, don't wait for Christmas, get at once.
Enjoy...

Man, this movie is like everything good about the 80s rolled into one psychedelic cocktail of a movie. It has something for everyone, as long as everyone has a taste for the exotic and unknown. I first saw this film when I was about 14, and damn, was I sold. Just bought the DVD, and I can't watch it enough. Don't even rent it, just buy it, its that good!

Having waited a longtime for this DVD,I was richly rewarded with this edition of the film. I have seen many DVD editions of old favorites of mine. Planet of the Apes, The Wrath of Khan, etc. I've found these releases to be marginally dissapointing. It seems to me that they just used the original elements of the films audio. Spielberg has done Close Encounters justice with this edition. I found the print to be spectaclar, with absolutely no grain or artifacs as well as exceptional tonal quality and clarity. But it's the sound that really blew me away. I viewed this DVD in DTS and found the soundstage remarkably transparent and dynamic throughout. Speilberg really pulled the bottom out and greatly expanded the LFE. I thought I was going to burst a water pipe, the room rattled so much. The DVD makes extensive use of all channels. The effects are everywhere. He must have also bumped up John Williams' score. It's sweeping and sounds like the very best sound recording that you'd find in any of today's top reference quality DVD's. If this is what we can expect from Speilberg, then hold on to your shoes for the release of Raiders.

"FAHRENHEIT 9/11" is unprecidented in the history of film and politics. The ripple effect it generated is nothing less than a full on cultural phenomenon. While there are arguably better documentaries worthy of winning the Golden Lion of Cannes, this film is in a class by itself simply for the sensation it has created around the world. Having grossed nearly a quarter of a billion dollars worldwide so far, indicates that the vox populi have cast their collective vote in support of this film and the story it tells. Praise it or pillory it, history will record that for it's time, like a "perfect storm" this was a "perfect documentary".

Some great slapstick hidden in there as well. I noticed a great spit-take. And the director and producer make cameos as co-hosts of a public access show called 'pasta talk.' The dog is the same dog that starred in 'Fluke.'

I really enjoy this movie because I am into the kind of humor this film displays. If you like movies about weird and unusual things you will like this film also. In the film a young married couple are in a car accident that sends them to their death. Not realizing that they are dead they return home in their ghost form to report the accident. Upon their arrival to their home they understand that something is not right. Things seem different in their quiet New England home. After all of these happenings, the movie turns into an odd comedy about the dead attempting to get help from other ghosts to be able to survive and understand the "tricks of the trade" so to speak, of being ghosts. Eventualy their pathes cross with a trouble making ghost named "Beetlejuice" who for a price will help them get rid of the big city occupants of their home they once lived in. Well, thats all I will tell you. I don't want to spoil the rest of this movie for you. Hope you like it! END

Heck, i'm completely astounded by what i've experienced with this anime. I had low expectations about this anime personally, because i had not really heard much about this. I bought the first tape, and i was hooked. I was 100% shocked by the quality of the animation. The storyline was incredible for an anime (atleast for the anime i've seen), and the voice acting was incredible. There is nothing wrong with this series at all. A definate 5 star review for Lain. If only those tapes werent so blasting expensive. I payed $30 for a video. I think thats a rip-off, but i payed it anyway.....because i had to watch. Its that addictive.
