The Best Horse movie ever

For those people who love horses, this movie is one of the BEST! I used to rent this all the time when it wasn't available to buy. Now I'm going to buy up a copy for sure! This is one of the best horse movies ever made about a wild horse. The Silver Stallion is a wild Austrailian horse who has an undying will to be free- and not even Man can contain his wild spirit. I hope this is released on DVD soon, because everybody should be able to watch this movie at its absolute BEST!!! May the Horse be With You!

Continuing the tradition of a great saga ...

I saw Attack of the Clones in the theaters 6 times, and I am not normally inclined to do something like that. The special effects are awesome. I personally find Hayden Christensen as Anakin to be compelling and he is the main reason I went back so many times. There are some deleted scenes on the DVD that I agree would have enhanced the movie, such as the scene with Padme's parents. In other parts when you see the full scene of Anakin and Padme leaving Coruscant, you can help but be amazed at the precision and skill of the final editing.
The DVD has many many features and lots of interesting background information to add to an already interesting and enlightening glimpse of slipping to the dark side. I anxiously await the next installament of the Star Wars saga and hope that it's not the last.

No comparison allowed

You've seen American History X ? Of course! who didn't! Well you can forget it. Even if Romper Stomper doesn't match your criteria of a fine well-done artistic movie, it's a must-see, no doubt. Enter an almost documentary approach of an aussie bunch of wild skinheads and forget about the romance plot; not relevant. Russell Crowe is an astonishing Hando, and there's in this part so much of the intensity and violence he gave us his following parts in either LA Confidential and The Insider. The whole film is just wandering along with these certainly dreadful guys, but no judgement, just the facts. Don't fail to get it in your video collection.

Crying Freeman is the best Animation movie I've ever seen. Everything about it was top notch, graphics, plot, lots of guns and sex! I want more! Seriously, I am a huge fan of this series, if anyone can tell me where to find it, I would greatly appreciate the favor.

A Classic

One of the timeless classics offering a profound insight into the nature of human beings and the stories we tell. How we see things, the filters we place on our view of the world, say more about us than the "truth" of the events we "witness". This film is a masterpiece - a must see not only for film lovers but for anyone looking to art as a reflection of human realities.

Interesting Introduction to the French Revolution

I glossed over the French Revolution back in junior high, but was not able to recount much years later. Because I don't have the time to read up on French history, I decided to check out this DVD.

First off, I was very pleased with the information I received from this program. I could easily look up the info from the web in a matter of minutes, but I doubt I could have learned as much as I did from the DVD. Quite simply, the program is done like a story (with visual reenactments) and laced with interviews from scholars. The result is that you're entertained from start to finish, while understanding the conflict and events that are being described.

And what's nice is that although the program isn't too long, it doesn't rush anything: we learn about Louis XVI's rise to the throne, his relationship with Marie Antoinette, and what led to their deaths. Robespierre and Marat's background are also analyzed, as they were both major players in the revolution.

In all, a great DVD to own. I've been watching PBS and History Channel documentaries/programs for some time, and I was pleased that this production was done well. Although I wasn't too educated on the French Revolution before this DVD, I felt that the program was done with detail and accuracy. I definitely recommend it!

Great job, Mel!

This movie does exactly what I think it was meant to do: shock the people with how Jesus was betrayed, tortured, crucified. It comes straight from the Bible. I didn't recognize any added sensation or fiction. This is how it must have been. Too cruel? Does anybody believe that what Jesus had to go through for us was anything better than what is being shown here?
