The Best

I'm one of the few people who managed to get an unedited pre-release version of the movie while everyone else was stuck with the edited version. While I have not seen the edited version, I can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt that the unedited version is easily the best animated movie ever. It's twisted and pure genious. You learn so much about the characters pasts and how unbelievably sick the Joker was. If you thought you've seen the Joker before, you ain't seen nothing yet. I strongly urge everyone who is a Batman fan to buy this DVD.

CGI oh my

One of the better CG videos out there. My only contension is it could have been a little longer, maybe 50 min or an hour. 30 min is too short. The music was very diff from other CG DVD's of the past. Very tranqull. Relaxing to watch.

Better than the first one!

I went into this film expecting to see some good visual art, but not knowing whether the story would be any good. It was incredible. It had all kinds of begrudging "courtesy" between the competing hunters, and a continuous effort on D's part to appear to be a bad guy, while actually being good. There's also the standard tragic doomed love affair, etc. for the chicks to enjoy.

Brosnan's best since Goldeneye

I'm a really huge fan of goldeneye, but what can I say other than it kicks butt...As for this movie it ties with Goldeneye. I admit that the past Pierce Brosnan movies haven't been that great but don't let this movie fool you. It's a great action/adventure filled with a BUNCH of extras, deleted scenes, etc. As for the story line, alot of it is unrealistic but its worth watching. Although I can do without Madonnas theme song which really gets annoying after awhile but thats what the fast forward button is for. It's definately worth buying if your a Bond fan or just getting into the Bond movies.

X-Men - movie DVD cover picture

An excellent movie with an engaging storyline and uncanny special effects (even Wolverine's claws look real), this is probably the first superhero movie since _Batman_ eleven years ago that didn't make fun of its subject matter. Rabid X-fans may be disappointed by deviations from comic book continuity (For example, where's Beast? Wasn't Rogue a member of Magneto's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants before she ever joined the X-Men? Not to mention the lack of costumes-they wear leather uniforms in the movie), but I recommend this movie.

Wiseguy - Sonny Steelgrave and the Mob Arc (Season 1 Part 1) - movie DVD cover picture
My favorite TV show of the eighties

I nearly jumped for joy when I saw that this great series was going to be released in DVD format--all I can say is "It's about time!" This was the show which pioneered "story arcs" where a plot line ran through a limited number of episodes of a series. In the first season of "Wiseguy", there were not one but two fabulous story arcs. The first arc featured the late, great Ray Sharkey in a searing performance as the crime lord Sonny Steelgrave--anyone who saw the last episode of this arc must wonder to this day why Sharkey didn't get an Emmy nomination for his performance. The second arc (which I actually saw before I saw the Steelgrave arc) featured a then-unknown actor named Kevin Spacey who was as memorable as in his performance as Ray Sharkey was in his. Which is not to slight the regulars in the series--they were all wonderful. If the thought of another so-called reality series makes you violently ill, do check out this DVD set when it comes out--this is truly imaginative and creative television art!

A movie worth watching!

Extreme Measures does an EXCELLENT job of shedding light on the sensitive issue of how far is far enough in relation to scientific advancement and experimentation.
It deals with concepts such as where does one set the boundaries in regards to Medicine and Science, as well as touching on the topics of Morality, Change and Progress, and questions like do the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or should it be the other way around? Most importantly, it brings attention to and succeeds in making people aware of the existence of such dilemmas, which have been characteristic of mankind throughout history.
Hugh Grant does a great job in his dramatic role as Dr Guy Luthan, as does Gene Hackman as Dr Lawrence Myrick. It is an amazing thriller with familiar elements from the X-Files. The plot, the setting, and the dialogues are all very good!
Extreme Measures is a very good movie, guaranteed to provide an evening's entertainment. In addition, it is one of those films that gets you and keeps you thinking long after it's over.
Overall, it is a movie definitely worth watching!

Now yes, this is a great film in my opinion but why do people not find this offensive and find Lolita offensive? Both involve an older man attempting to seduce a minor yes why is lolita considered so much worse?
