Star Wars III, the best of the 6

i think that Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith was the best out of the whole Star Wars saga. It gave the main points and ideas of what we needed to know. For example, who was Darth Vader, what happened to all the Jedi, who Luke and Leia are the daughter and son of and more. i loved it especially because of Hayden Christensen, he might have been a reason most girls saw this movie! He is really hot! This movie was the best ever, besides 1,2,4,5 and 6, and i am looking forward to it coming out on DVD and VHS, and i think they might all be gone considering that this is the last movies of the Star Wars saga. But no matter what Star Wars will live on and be a favorite movie to everyone, including me

The Best Hindi M`ovie I have seen

hi ppli am no big fan of hindi movies though i am an Indian but this movie is a great change from the run-in-themill BOLLYWOOD movies. the best thing about the movie is the music. ARR has done it again. it is one of the best i have heard from him since ROJA. but the movie is not a oscar material. good though it might be it is just not it. i have seen better movies in tamil(NAYAKAN, KURUDHI PUNAL, MOUNA RAGAM, etc..), bengali, malayalam which are soooooo much better than this. it is time that these regional lang movies got recognition equal or even more(they deserve it) than the worthless(>95%) bollywood movies. but i simply loved LAGAAN and being a very big fan of cricket i thoroughly enjoyed it and am yearning to see it again. the actors have done justice to their roles. gracy singh is graceful. the songs(chalechalo, mitwa, o rey chori the theme& ofcourse radha kaise na jale) and their lyrics were brilliant. the picturisation is brilliant. the direction is good. it is must see movie coz after a very long time an hindi movie has been made worth seeing (coz some effort has been put to make it watchable). i just wish more BOLLYWOOD directors will follow suit and stop making stupid and worthless commercial movies.

White Noise (Widescreen Edition) - movie DVD cover picture

Well, I walked into the theater not knowing what to expect at all. It was opening night, so I hadn't read any reviews yet. The trailers looked awesome, but the trailers for Darkness were also good trailers. And anyone who's seen Darkness knows how bad it is. Ok, on with the review. Michael Keaton's character has lost his wife, who is an author. He soon meets a man on the street who says he can help him contact her again. Naturally, Michael Keaton's character doesn't believe this for a couple of months. It's something called 'white noise'. The spirits can be detected through recorded video tapes, and also audio tapes. He does manage to contact her, and becomes obsessive...until he releases something evil that is seeking him.

I enjoyed this movie THOROUGHLY. I can tell you that much. It's very underrated, and I wish that all these people would stop bashing it. The slow pace helps build up for the great little ending, which I personally enjoyed. The storyline was pretty good and had a mixture of many different supernatural flicks in it. Like, Poltergeist and Ghost for example. It ends up being a very creepy and entertaining flick, and one that you can walk out of the theater feeling good that you just spent 8 bucks on it. So, overall, I'd definately reccomend this and I'm getting the DVD.

a 4.5 star movie

I totally agree with most of the positive comments that have been made about this film. The battle scenes are fantastic and are unlike anything I've ever seen before. The acting is excellent and the movie has some very moving and emotional scenes. The special effects are again well done. There are plenty of reviews that thoroughly cover the movie's numerous good points so I won't elaborate on those any further. I just want to discuss one problem with the movie that prevents me from deeming it worthy of five stars. (I really wish this site had half star ratings.)
The development of Aragorn's character into the king of Gondor isn't all that good. In fact, he's not even in the movie all that much. I realize that there's a lot more to cover here than just Aragorn's becoming king so it's not like I expected most of the movie to be about him. However, far too little time is spent on his character. There's the Paths of the Dead and his character is developed some there but after that the movie is all downhill as far as Aragorn's character development is concerned. Suddenly, he's leading the people of Gondor and we haven't seen him do anything to prove himself to them. We don't even see them making a big deal about Aragorn summoning the Army of the Dead. Sure, we can just assume that they're following him merely because he has the Narsil sword and the ring of Barahir but there's far too little drama in that. It's still a very good movie and I would still say that it's well worth a trip to the theater and the price of admission. I just hope that scenes from the book (such as the Houses of Healing) are put into the extended edition and that this flaw is corrected.

Absolutely Wonderful!

My husband and I had the great luck to see this in an old fashioned, big screen one-movie theater, and fell in love with it. It is absolutely wonderful entertainment! We've rented it 3 times since it came out! I recommend it to anyone...if you love Gilbert and Sullivan, you'll love this! If you aren't familiar with them, Topsy Turvy will make you a big fan of them. Go for it! It's incredibly enjoyable!

Mirror Mirror III

Mirror Mirror III is a very scarey yet sexy horror film. It's the best of this genre I've seen. Billy Drago comes across remarkably and the star Monique parent does a brilliant job of evil and sex.
Lots of my friends have seen this film and loved it.
I'd like to see more by the director

Best Homage to B-Movies Ever

This movie was just plain fun on so many levels. The bad dialog, the over acted acting, cheesy effects. Some might think of it as an ordinary b-movie but it's a clever homage to them. It plays it straight and never let's on that it doesn't take itself seriously. It will have your eyes watering and sides hurting from laughing so hard. And since it was made for $40,000 it shows it's just more than an homage. It shows you don't have to have a giantic budget to make an entertaining film today! I can't wait to get this one on DVD.

A ultraviolent hi-tech futuristic action thriller.

This was one of the first DVD's I bought. I also purachsed "The Killer" and "Hard Boiled" in the criterion Collection. The extra footage was great and the commentary was very good. The other extras were kinda worthless, especially the tgext magazine article. The violent footage was very good, and actualy made the film, despite what was said in another comment, it is not tame by any standards. i must warn though, you have to be a fan of this film to buy the DVD, it's a cult thing...

A great movie

First of all, people should understand that it's a MOVIE and the main goal of a movie is entertainment. Stop whining about this or that. It's not supposed to be exactly like in real life, when you tell a story you always embellish things to make them "bigger or better" than they actually were. Same applies here, the crashes are over the top yes, but it makes it more exiting. And it's not like there's 300 spectacular crashes in the movie, there's 3 major crashes, so don't push it.

The true essence of the movie is relationship between people and the racing stuff is the theater of it.

I really enjoy this movie, I've seen it a dozen times and it doesn't have the pretention to revolutionnize the film industry, but it's certainly a very good entertainment. The actors are all great. Plus the DVD is packed with a lot of extras, Renny Harlin audio commentary, two featurettes and over 50 minutes of deleted and/or longer scenes with Stallone commentary for each of these scenes. For all the Driven haters: maybe you should listen to those extras to understand this movie better.
