one of the most moving movies I have ever seen!!!

When this movie ended, I sat there knowing my perspective on life was changed forever! Jeff Bridges and Rosie Perez compliment each other in an unexpectedly refreshing way. Peter Weir has the ability to show his characters' souls- this is a very deep yet completely followable movie. Be prepared to watch it more than once! excellent!!!!

A must have

I loved the humane, loving, fun way of training that is enjoyable both for the trainer and the dog. Paul teaches the basics and their usefulness for preventing problems and gives a clear and down to the point instruction that is fun for children as well as adults. It's entertaining as well as educational.
I like the DVD format which saves time for finding the right section for revision.

If only they could've stuck to it - instead we got a SOAP

This is a great season, well worth watching. But, the way TV is going these days, everything is a soap (you can't even watch Battlestar Galactica unless you've seen them all). "To Be Continued" was the first credit of every episode by the last season of Enterprise. Even in the "Final Episodes" - the 4 parter on the 'Alternate Universe' (that DS-9 did so well with) never even comes to closure! "This is EMPRESS Sato, surrender or die", The End. What the??

Regardless, this is a great season and worth owning for any Trekker. Everyone I talk to seems to hate Scott Bakula as the primary (I did too, but he grew on me after seeing this season).

These are all stand-alone, edible for anyone stories, some with great moral questions (on a galactic scale of course) spinning the wheel of how the Primary Directive was forged, etc.

It was a great start, but they had to ruin it. You will quickly run out of fingers if you try to count how many shows are '24' style.

more true than most realize

A wonderful film/documentary and I also strongly recommend the book "To A Violent Grave". It was written here and shows you just how true to life the movie is. Work of this quality is rarely found today in "hollywood", absolutely great work by Ed Harris.

Hero in action

Jacques D'Amboise demonstrates the difference between a teacher and a mentor. A teacher gives information, a mentor literally reaches into a child's life and lifts him/her to a higher plane. In this video, it's great to watch Jacques coach average kids into above-average performance, and provoke them into seeing greatness in themselves, and his technique has obvious application in all fields, not just artistic or physical. This video is superb for not only profiling an accomplished mentor like Jacques, but for showing us the incredible power of dance to unchain a child's imagination, and boost their self esteem.

The Best Movie of 1999

This movie is the best. It's a little slow, but gets going. This movie really makes you think. The ending is the best I've ever seen. I can't tell you though, because that would ruin the whole movie. I'm glad someone in Hollywood finally came up with the brilliant idea to not make the same kind of ending where the good guy kills or sends to jail the evil maniac. This was my favorite movie of '99 and there were a lot of good movies in '99.

An awesome DVD set!

Ok, here's my .02. In short, it's awesome! Using the 5.1 surround, the audio was completely excellent! No `jitters' in the video, everything was smooth and it just sucked me in. Sorry others didn't seem to enjoy it, or at least not as much... oh well, their loss. It's Star Wars, it's on DVD, and in a set like this, well I just can't find anything to not like. :-) Well except eventually getting a widescreen TV to maximize the viewing. ;-) That's coming within the next year.

Awsome Western

When I heard I was going to watch a western I thought I was not going to like it. I did not think I was going to like the movie because I mostly like futureristic movies. Everytime I finish watching a movie I always think to myself `` What makes this a good movie ?``. I say action and drama is what makes a good movie. This western has all of that and more. What I thought made this movie ``Silverado`` a typical western is that it has gunfights, bar fights, bank robbers, hostages, and showdowns. This movie was very exciting. I liked the soundtrack very much. I believe that the little scenes help the viewers figure out whats happenning. I would say this movie is one of the best I have ever seen. If I would recommend this movie I would to everyone I know.
