Rousing epic is simply fantastic entertainment!

Mel Gibson stars as William Wallace, a Scotsman who leads his people in revolt against the conquering British. Gibson's second directorial attempt is a towering achievement, with the bloody battle sequences and rousing speeches standing out. Other outstanding accomplishments: James Horner's score is superb, Mel Gibson gives a powerful performance, and Catherine McCormack and Sophie Marceau are gorgeous beauties. A stirring epic that works on every level it aspires.

One of the best movies I have ever seen!

I most impressive thing about this movie is the computer effects, to show Rome in the early days was incredible. The 180 degree shot was the most impressive of all. Russell Crowe is a great actor, I have been impressed with him since Virtuosity With Denzel Washington, He has done nothing but good movies since. And in Gladiator he carries the movie himself, his performance is outstanding. The only downfall of the movie is Joaquin Phoenix as Commodus the new Empiror of Rome. He plays him as a crying baby of a man. The violence and fights are great. The army battles are not as large as Braveheart or as bloody, but that works well for this film. I can only say that you should good see this movie. It has great action, great acting and a great story. A must see.

I Know Why This Got Cancelled!!!! Cause It Was Good

I have not seen anything that more accuratly paints my high school experince better than "Freaks and Geeks". Its about average kids doing normal, stupid things and trying to find ways out of their problems. Sometimes they fail. Sometimes they succed. The scripts never treat you like your dumb, and expect you too have seen the shows before it. In short, "Freaks and Geeks" is brilliant. It was so brilliant that they cancelled it.If you have never seen "Freaks and Geeks", then here is the best way to tell if you will enjoy it:1. Were you picked on by bullies?2. Would rather hang out in the parking lot instead of going to class? If you answered yes to both or either of these questions, then you will love this show. If you enjoyed dances, sporting events and after school activties, then you probably wont. The show is equal parts gut busting hilarious as well heartbreakingly sad. All of the charactors have ups and downs, and not all of their problems are fixed in the span of one hour. Some problems are never solved by the end of the show.A few of the best episodes inclue:1. Noshing and Moshing: Where James Franco becomes a punk rocker, albeit briefly.2. Beers and Weirs: Is there anything funnier than people getting drunk off of non-alcholic beer? I think not.3. Smooching and Mooching: Bill in the closet with the head cheerleader is all too real to me.4. We've Got Spirit: The norsemen. The freaks cheering on the hometeam? What more could you want?
"Freaks and Geeks" for me is like hanging out with all my friends from high school again. You share there embarrassment at times and are happy when things finally go there way. This show isn;t for everyone, but if you like it, then I am willing to guareentee that you'll love it.
Also, they have put togather a hell of a DVD here, with 29 commentaries, behind the scenes footage, deleted scenes, audition tapes, the max. Its everything that "My So-Called Life" was lacking.

Great choice of JC titles

The titles chosen for this collection were an even better selection than the Bette Davis one! This set shows Joan at her best from bitchy and hilarious in 'The Women' to pious and earthy in 'Mildred Pierce'. There's something for even the most half-hearted Crawford fans here. Keep them coming Warners, please let Greta Garbo be close by!

Great Dirty Little Comedy!!!!!

This aint a comedy you can sit and watch with the fammilly due to its filthy little bits and peaces! But for those who like a cheeky comedy then you cant go past Porkys!
Its hillarious and fun and i need not reveiw it as many would have done so by now for you to get the idea of the plot!
I hadnt laughed so hard in years untill i recently saw this film for the first time, and i was still in side splitting pain from laughing so hard the second time around!
This is a great comedy! and a must see for those of you who like that dirty type of comedy like i do! After all, where do you think my username came from? :)
I gotta only recomend part 1 tho! Part 2 & 3 I thought where no where near as good as the first, maybe if you find them dirt cheap theyd be worth owning just to keep as a collection, but this first one is the must have for you fans of smut comedy!
I also recomend "Screwballs" to go with this! if it ever gets released on DVD?

Sci-Fi Critique

The film was absolutely magnificent with its surrealistic settings and charismatic characters. The film was a little hard to follow though. One can understand that a computer controls a society of people but it is hard to comprehend what the relevency of the chain of events leading up to the dramatic climax holds.

A low-budget classic!

The quality of the movie is poor, but if you want a good movie, with black actors, get this classic.

The FUNNIEST movie ever!

I saw this movie for the first time last year and have watched it religiously ever since. It is hilarious! Oliver Platt is the best actor! The best part is when Dartanyon is about to be executed and the weirdo says "don't lose your head!" :o) You have to see it. I promise it wont be a waste of time.

Twisted children's Story

This story was twisted in a fun way. I loved the colors used to create the children's storybook look to it. Each scene is dark and done like pages in a well illustrated children's book. The style of filming reminded me of The Crow, but the two movies are two completely different things.
A few of my friends didn't like it because it was too confusing and subtitled, but if you just let yourself go and relax it will be a fun ride. The special effects are fluid and not overdone. They do not stand out, but run right along with the movie. But don't get me wrong.. there are a lot of hidden layers to this movie, much like your classic children's stories. I like it more each time I watch it.
