Review mania

This movie, is great, how the beast has its own very unique caracter, and how the beast had gotten a spellbound on him because he had judged a princess over looks, in the begining of the movie, until belle's father Maurice, had gotten lost on his way to an nvention contest. Belle on the search for him, had met the beast, replaced her self for her fathers freedom and soon enough the beast had fallen in love with Belle, and the Beast had left Belle free. She new there was trouble so she had come back, Because of Belle's love, the Beast's spell has been broken, and the Beast and all of the other people who also had turned into an object, all turned back into humains, and they all lived happily ever after!

A Classic

It's a beautiful classic made during our time. If you love romance, this is a beatiful remake of a classic. Love the children's and Annette's rendition of the Beatles "I Will". Dissapointed that the song is not on the original soundtrack. I bought the VHS version in 96 and lent it to my friends. They all loved it. They kept wanting to borrow and replay it - for the song; as well as for the beautiful everything that best describes the the movie. The VHS is now kaput and I definitely have this in my list of the next one to add to my collection of DVDs. Hope you will enjoy it too.

eye-opening film

I enjoyed this movie for many of the same reasons as the other reviewers, and some of my own. I picked this up on a whim from my local video store, and was blown away. Not only is the storyline compelling and somewhat shocking, the cinematography is such that it adds to and influences the viewers interpretation of the movie. The way they picture the characters doing drugs, for instance, is effective and unexpected. The turn of events is unpredictable, but not to the point where the movie gets confusing. Despite how desperate and ill (both mentally and physically) the characters may be, it is easy to pick out things about all of them that one can relate to. The message that the movie leaves you with is deep within the plot, and I am certain that it differs from person to person. Overall, this is one of my favorite movies of all time.

"suspects" stands out among the rest

This has got to be one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. First the plots never stops twisting and turning. At the end it takes some time for you to figure it all out. Those are the kinds of movies that should be issued to crummy no talent writers. And it has one of the best lines in it.

Losts of questions, few answers

Jane Fonda is a court-appointed psychiatrist who is sent to a convent to treat one of the nuns who has had a baby; later the baby is found dead. The nun has no recollection of getting pregnant or delivering the child. The movie investigates the secrets of this strange nun, who may have killed the baby (we never find out) and the convent, which may be hiding a lot more than it's willing to tell. An absorbing drama, but with no resolution. A thousand questions are asked by Fonda of the nuns (she even questions her own lapsed beliefs), but no answers are forthcoming. A compelling mystery.

Fun & Intelligent

I would ignore John G's comments . . . . . intelligence IMHO is more than the cerebral limitations of our finite human minds. That's what makes this movie so entertaining.

Provides gore and some laughs, all you can ask for

Who knew that such a successful spoof on the zombie movies would come from England? The film has its share of gore, including one very gory scene while it still has its laughs. Pretty short intro mind you.

Shaun is basically a slacker. He works at an electronics store, isn't really all that ambitious, and his idea of taking his girlfriend out revolves around taking her to the Winchester, a local pub. He lives with Ed, a slacker worse than he is who plays Timesplitters 2(I think) and doesn't write down people's messages, only his own. There's also Pete, who can't stand Ed of course.

Shaun's girlfriend Liz ends up dumping him and noticing a lot of weird things happening around town. But once things due start to happen, he's completely oblivious like the bloody handprints in the store or a very empty street. That changes when a woman appears in their backyard. He pushes her onto a small pole and is impaled...only she stands right back up with a gaping hole in her stomach. Now it gets serious as he tries to fend off the zombies(he doesn't want them called that however) with his girlfriend, Ed, his mother, father-in-law, and Liz's 2 friends.

The comedy from the film mainly comes from subtleties or just plain ridiculousness without being off-the-wall. Realizing that zombies can be killed through beheading or massive brain trauma, they start flinging vinyls at them, only to end up singling out certain records because they're too good.

The acting is surprisingly strong too with a great scene involving a Reservoir Dogs spoof involving a mexican standoff. The gore is a bit subdued since you're not gonna find anything really really graphics, until near the end anyway.

Rent it and gross out your date while still making them laugh. One of the few movies that can do this.

Can't wait till this one comes out!

Geez! How long is it gonna take for them to tell us the rest of the matches that are gonna be on this baby? Anyway, if half of those that the last guy mentioned are on there then I would be a happy man. All classics.
By the way, on the sites I've seen, the Flair/Rhodes match says its from the Bash 85 which would be a different match from the one on Bloodbath. I don;t know if they fought at Bash 85? Hope we'll find out soon.

This is Action mamet style

David mamet has a true gift for dialog, Look at alot of his films. They just have an undeniable style to them. Spartan is about an gov't agen who likes to do things his own way played very well by Val Kilmer. Who decides to go look for the president's daughter who has been kidnapped. But little does this know that this who thing goes all the way to the oval office. What made this film refeshing in the terse dialog between the characters. They may not say much but you understand what they are trying to say. After seeing this i am starting to think that Val Kilmer is an underrated actor. he gives a very good performance. As with mamet regulars William H. Macy and Ed O'Neil gives a very good yet understated performance. This is a political thriller for people who like to think and this is action mamet style.

The Best Batman Film EVER

This was by far the best Batman film adaptation ever. Batman begins was definitely better than the previous 2 films, but nothing will ever top Michael Keaton's batman and Tim Burtons imagination. I have been waiting for this special edition since they invented DVDs.
