An excellent documentary about "the forgotton war".

I purchased this DVD for my Father who is a Veteran and ex POW of the Korean war. We both agree that this is one of the best documentaries on the subject yet. High quality narration and footage give the viewer a good understanding of how and why the war was fought.

My first contact with Jane Austen

I ran across this film in the 80's by pure accident. I turned on Masterpiece Theatre, and since I felt so tired I put a tape in my VCR and promptly fell asleep - not because of the movie. When I finally viewed the tape I watched it over and over during the next few weeks. I am sorry to say I had not even heard of Jane Austen at the time. Because of that movie, I have read every one of her books and seen any movie that was written from her books. I can't be objective about the Northanger Abby movie because it was what first introduced me to Austen. If I had read the book first, this review may have been different. As it is, I love the movie. It caught my fancy. In fact, I bought the movie a few years ago, since my taped copy was wearing out from periodic watching and rewatching it over the years - especially the last scene. What a pleasure to see scenes I have never seen before! The music - I love the music. Music has always been able to get me in the mood of the story, and this music definitely set the scene for me. I guess the unusualness caught my fancy. Enough about the movie - just enjoy it with an open mind and no expectations. Very seldom are expectation completely met.

An unbelievable ending

The most amazing Science Fiction show ever, cancelled with a season finale not to be missed. This show was ripped to shreds when shown on TV, at least here in Australia. I've seen these episodes after purchasing the entire four seasons from Amazon UK... (I initially thought What The... but a friend sent me the first couple of discs of Season 1 - from then I was hooked)
There is word of something else being recorded to finalise the show - something I must check up on :\
Even if you missed some of the earlier episodes in this final season, the finale is a clincher

Very funny and sweet romantic comedy; perfect for weekend..

This film has a very funny plot and and a great dialogue, too. I really enjoyed it as a light romantic comedy for a Sunday evening screening. The whole family could watch it together, I suppose. Neve Campbell and Matthew Perry had a beautiful "on-screen chemistry" together, and that accounted for a lot of charm in this movie. Anyone, who likes "The Practice", will enjoy Dylan McDermott in his role here. Supporting cast was well-chosen, too. This movie is really fun!

Francie's World

A Tree Grows In Brooklyn is a beautiful and thoughtful book. The screen version is one of my favorite films of all time. It tells the story of Francie, a poor girl growing up in Brooklyn at the turn of the 20th century. The acting, with Peggy Ann Garner as Francie, James Dunn as her father and Joan Blondell as Francie's aunt, is superb and evocative of that bygone era. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is a movie that can be enjoyed again and again. You never get tired of it.

WORTH EVERY PENNY

This is by far one of my favorite DVD's of all time...Sure it's kind of slim on extra's. Sure it was produced by ABC an Disney. You'd think these things would doom this DVD.. No sir!!! This is amazingly funny. For fans of Smith the jokes are non-stop. From the constant Star Wars refrences... (I Loved the Lando Bit) to the part where he makes george lucas admit that episode 1 was a lame movie and forced him to give him his money back...Clerks is the funniest thing I've seen since Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

Easy for EVERYONE

I'm a 47 year old male beginner, having bought this box set and also having gone to four classes at local Yoga Centers. Alan is so much better than the local instructors I've had here (in San Francisco). His voice is very calm and soothing. His instruction tells me how to move into the poses and tells me how to not hurt myself. He allows for someone like me who is not very flexable and tells us how to accomplish beginner poses very easily. The tapes are a very good value. You get a lot for your money. I've been through two of the tapes about four times and plan on using them once or twice a week for quite a long time. I feel very peaceful and relaxed after doing one of the tapes.
