Powerful Film

But also a violent one, but this shows war and war involves a lot of bloodshed.
To be honest I was a bit nervous about this film being made, especially when it was being produced by Brukenheimer (remember Pearl Harbor?). But with advisors such as Lt Col. Danny McKnight (played by Tom Sizemore) and Ridley Scott directing, I was relieved so I decided to see this fim. It had good production values and a "Straight to the point" Script. However I warn those who have a weak stomach not to see this film, it is very disturbing.
But cudos to all who made this Film
Note: After this tragic episode, the US arm forces now do combat exercises in a mock city. To avoid a poteintal scenero being Catastrophic. Also the US will use full force to achieve objectives even when the operation seems easy.

Excellent and accurate biblical portrayal!

This movie sucked! Everything about it was terrible. Some may also find it offensive for straying far from the biblical narrative. Although this movie is called "King David", the story bares little resemblance to the story of King David found in the books of Samuel and Chronicles.

Super Potty Training DVD!!!

My son Danny (almost 3 years old) absolutely adores this DVD. It's really fun, because it shows the difference between babies and big kids through songs and games and goes through each step of how to use the potty chair. Now I'm just hoping that he'll be potty trained soon, but he is showing signs of interest, so that's a start!

I highly recommend this DVD!!!

Everything you need before the Serenity movie(s)

Might as well be called, "The Adventures of Han Solo"... but without the aliens and StarWars characters.

I never watched this when it came out on TV, but boy were those producers shortsighted. It came out when Stargate and StarTrek whatever were popular, and I always hated the fact that all the aliens were variations of humans. I guess I figured this was the same. Its too bad that the contractual obligations state that this series cant be revived for something like 10 yrs... Im glad they got a multi-movie deal out if it.

A renegade bunch of smugglers that picked up an interesting "package". The western theme of all the planets is interesting. Given all the technology to get around, they only visit terraformed planets and things are still pretty primative on all the Earth-like planets. THERE ARE NO ALIENS (except reavers, but they are still "human")! The series has well defined characters and for the most part very believeable. The oppotunity to watch them in order makes a a big difference, as there are often hints to situations that happened in previous episodes. Apparently the episodes were not played in order when they were on the TV.

All in all, I thought it was a series which would have done very well if it had caught on. 5 stars.

A truly great show.

I'm so used to so many shows today giving you a couple of so-so jokes and then pad the other 20 minutes with dribble.
Not so with Coupling. This show has me laughing out loud throughout. And when I'm not laughing, I'm busy trying to guess where in the world they are taking this episode (I'm always wrong).
It's refreshing story-telling technique is also worth mentioning. Episodes could be completely linear or they might jump from one point to another and then back in time to the start of the episode to it's climax etc., or it may just stop the show completely half way through and then retell the first half again (albeit from a different perspective).
If you haven't yet seen this show on BBC America (or better yet on PBS without the commercials) I could not recommend it more highly.

Nice to see old fashioned slow zombies

A directly humorous attempt, that is, the humans are the source of most of the comedy instead of the zombies. They did not make it a spoof on the genre itself (such as in the Return of The Living Dead series) as much as they tried to make the human cast funny. They were mostly successful if you're hip enough to zombie movies to get the jokes, probably a little less if you are not. I can't imagine that you would buy or rent a movie with this title if you are not a zombie fan, though.

In these days of turbo charged arcade undead it was nice to see old fashioned slow moving zombies the way Zombie-God Romero intended. This movie's twist on the classic genre seems to be to demonstrate that we really aren't all that different from zombies in many ways. If you watch closely you will see several scenes where the human characters resemble the zombies in gestures and manners.

The DVD has many additional features beyond the movie. They were hit and miss with entertainment quality. The film production documentary stands out as a highlite.

**spoiler: I liked how the zombies were not even noticed for a while in the film. That's was a nice touch.**

We're Wiggling Now!

My 20 month old grandaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this video! She loved seeing her favorite characters singing and dancing to some upbeat Christmas songs. There was just enough old and new songs to hold her (and my) interest. It is colorful and bright and entertaining. I would recommend this to any household with toddlers, and grandmas for that matter.
