Possibly the best Wiggles video yet

I have 20 month old twins who adore the Wiggles but it took this video to have them up and dancing and copying all the actions. There are some 'silly' moments that kids will love and it feels more relaxed and fun than some of the other videos. The songs are all wonderful and will put anyone in the Christmas spirit. Morgan Crowley does an awesome job and his voice blends beautifully with Greg's.
Awesome video, I'd love to see more like this.

Madonna's Vid Companion to GHV2...

...with the exception of her recent Music CD and the notorious "Justify My Love" video, this has about all the same jams on it. They are visually stunning cinematography and design that makes the vids 'stand alone' pieces of artistic creation and endeavor...some are like Dali or Miro meets Lynch. My favorites are "Bedtime Story", and "Nothing Really Matters"...even if you don't like Madonna, they are fun to watch.

A Masterpiece

This movie was a work of art. It was beautifully designed and directed. Very accurate to the book. And the choice of actors coudn't be better. There was quite alot of action in this movie and some people (unlike me) didn't like the movie because of this.

This story of action, adventure, loyalty, and forgiveness make this one of my favorite movies.

Manhunter (Director's Cut, Limited Edition Set) - movie DVD cover picture
An Overlook stroke of brilliance or Ying&Yang of Lector

Michael Mann (Miami Vice director and a perfection in the Hitchcock school of doing some of the camera work yourself) shows the visions from the same source material can be so different. Manhunter is from the Thomas Harris Book 'Red Dragon' the prequel, if you will, to the Silence of the Lambs, also by Harris. It is so interesting to view both films together and see the contrasts. Manhunter has a male, William Petersen, as FBI's fey tracker, while Lamb's focus is female through Jody Foster. Lambs is so dark, brooding and dank, you think of bad 1950's mad scientist movies, while Manhunter is blinding awash in light. Compare the cells of the different version of Lector. Hopkins is house in a madhouse basement, where shadows are deep and bogeymen lurk just out of sight...Brian Cox's lector is in a pure white cell, white pants and TV shirt, so clean and sterile it evokes the slightly nauseating sense of antiseptic hospitals. Hopkins' keeper is the kindly blackman, Benny; Cox's 'step back or I'll mace you in the face' redneck. The polarisation of these films is nearly endless, and yet both are so on target in achieving their aim.
Which do I prefer? Hard to say, but I think in repeated watching that Manhunter edges out Lambs. Mann 'paints' his movie in imagery that is so evocative, so compelling, but in a less is more manner that cause many to put him down as all style but no substance. I have never bought that. Anyone can watch "Evan" episode of Miami Vice or "Out Where the Buses Don't Run" and see there are so many layers to a Mann production - but it is for YOU to find the many textures and nuances. If you don't, it's your loss.
Manhunter just get better and better with age, and is a sheer treat on DVD.

One of my fovorites!!

Mike Myers plays a love-lorn once bittin twice shy freaky nice sort of dude. He finds the love of his life in a butchers' shop whilst looking for haggis for his Father (also played by himself). I won't spoil it for you, but it is definately the funniest film I have ever seen bar none. Mike Mysers is so good in the Fatherly role, and his Scottish accent is so close, being a Scot myself I was convinced he was! "Heid! Paper...troosers...NOO!". Magic.

Jazz? Rock? Gospel?

This movie has its ups and downs. The downs are the minutes spent touring the area. The ups are the great artists and combinations of artists that you see-Dinah Washington, Mahalia Jackson, Big Maybelle, Louis Armstrong, Jo Jones, Rudy Rutherford, and Chuck Berry. Rock? Jazz? No, mom, it doesn't sound like the record! Chuck Berry's Sweet Little Sixteen is a milestone in whatever genre. With Count Basie's oh-so-smooth drummer Jo Jones setting the beat and Rudy Rutherford's WILD! clarinet solo this song captures the freedom and joy of rock/jazz. I wore out this section on my old VHS copy! Rutherford and Berry create amazing voodoo on stage! The rhythms, the back beat, the syncopation! If you don't love it you don't understand rhythm and blues!

13 Oscar nominations!!!

This is simply one of the finest, most entertaining films since the glory days of "Star Wars." The last film to give me this kind of buzz was "The Matrix" in 1999. After seeing "The Fellowship of the Ring" I came out of the theater so enthralled and giddy that I went home, called up three of my closest friends, and went out the very same night and saw it a second time. I now own it on DVD and I look forward to so many things, from the special effects to the glorious score, each time I pop it in my player. This movie is a visual feast filled with excellent acting and filmmaking expertise. It won 4 Oscars, but eventually lost out to "A Beautiful Mind" for Best Picture. This should have won all 13 Academy Awards. This is a genuine masterpiece.

Yoga Zone - Conditioning and Stress Release (Beginners) - movie DVD cover picture
This is by far the best

I am a 46-year-old woman who began practicing yoga--off and on, and with several different teachers--since I was 18 years old. I cannot say enough great things about Alan Finger. He is truly the best yoga teacher I have ever learned from. For years, I have done these postures without clear directions about exactly how every muscle should be held and positioned. Believe me, doing the poses with the muscles engaged properly makes a huge difference! I agree with the others who have written here that the best part about this tape is that I really enjoy doing it. I am not a person who normally enjoys exercise, but this tape makes me feel as if I am pampering myself.
I have neck and back problems, and the minute I feel my neck getting tense, I know it's time to do this tape. Alan Finger has the best series of neck-tension-releasing exercies I have ever done. I feel the difference immediately. I have been to many chiropractors for my neck over the years and none have helped me any more than the exercises on this tape. The best part is that I have learned that I can stop a bad neck from ever happening because I have learned to listen to my body and help those muscles relax before I am in a crisis.
This may not be the most challenging workout, but for a person who wants to be gently guided into the beautiful, healing art of yoga, I can't think of a better place to start.

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Still Loving It!!!!!!

I remember sitting back after doing my homework and anxiously awaiting the start of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. I needed to now what was going to happen next. I was really pissed off when they cut the show without telling anyone and without letting the show developed into what it could have been just like they did with Star Trek but at least by then people where a little smarter and where able to demand more of it.
I just wish they had wised up before Buck Rogers in the 25th Century and Battle Star Galactica where killed in their prime.
I never found out what became of Star Buck's child that brought the fleet to earth. They did a few of those and pulled the plug leaving us all hanging and wanting more !!!! :(
