Peter Pan in Return to Never Land

I'm glad to see that Disney remained true to the story line in this sequel. So many movie studios try to take an old movie and bring the story to present time. They more often than not just make it a stupid mess (e.g., Scooby Doo - 2002). Plus, the art work of the characters remains the same and no "modernization" is done -- thank God. The writers do a pretty darn good job in trying to create a sequel that logically would have been written in the 1950's when Disney' came out with their first movie of Peter Pan. Great movie to watch with no silliness. Thanks Disney.

My Life Without Me - movie DVD cover picture
Life is short and we only have one chance.....

A movie I was reluctant to rent, but for some reason thought... why the hell not. I was glad I did.

What would I do if I found out that my life was over even before I had begun to live? This is the question that comes to the front of my mind after watching "My Life Without Me". It makes us aware that we walk a fine line between living and the devastating routine of life. It also makes you think twice about what's really important in life - any movie that can do that is worth seeing. This movie being perhaps one of the best films I have seen in a while. A film of tragedy that didn't dwell on the process of dying, but on the process of preparing the people you love to live on without you. It was done so well that I relaxed and found myself appreciating my own life even more. The visuals at the end of the film depicting ones life fluidly continuing on without you as if it were somewhat normal are just... it's something that can't be expressed with words. Heartbreaking, to say the least. You'll need kleenex, I did.

The Best DVD title ever

There was nothing that this movie showed that did not move me! The key is to understanding the concept and having an imagination (some people lack the ability to think beneath the cerebrum). When you enter this realm ot thought the movie opens up fanthoms of enjoyment and excitement. Thanks to the movie industry for giving us a movie that finally makes us think and enjoy at the same time!!!!

Dr. Strangelove Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb - movie DVD cover picture
Still very relevent today

Dr. Strangelove is an unqualified masterpiece. Like all great satire, it is at once hilarious and horrifying. A scathing indictment of the absurdity of the cold war and of modern warfare, Dr. Strangelove is still very relevent today.

The film presents a quite plausible scenario in which government beaurocracy breaks down and the fate of the world is left in the hands of the mad and the blood-thirsty. The script is comic genius, as are the performances of Slim Pickens, Sterling Haden, George C. Scott, and partcularly, Peter Sellers who gives the performances of his career. That's right, performances - three of them, each amazing in its own right.

For fans of black comedy, they don't get any better than this.

Seinfeld - Season 3 - movie DVD cover picture
Groundbreaking, unique, and original...

The preeminent show of the 1990's decade, Seinfeld grew from an idea of "a show about nothing" into a sacred pop culture icon - not that there's anything wrong with that.

The show follows the life of comedian Jerry Seinfeld and the exploits of his "short, quirky, bald guy" best friend, George Costanza (Jason Alexander), Jerry's neurotic neighbor Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards), and Jerry's ex-girlfriend Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). Through the years, they're joined by loveable cast of characters that includes Newman, Uncle Leo, the Soup Nazi, Frank and Estelle Costanza, the Bubble Boy, and countless others.

The third season DVD offers some of the best episodes yet, with classic lines such as "I think it moved" (episode 18) and "These pretzels are making me thirsty" (episode 28). The third season also includes the famous two part episode guest starring Keith Hernandez (episodes 34 & 35), the episode where George has sex with the cleaning woman (episode 29), and the famous pez dispenser show (episode 31).

Below is a list of episodes from the Seinfeld (Season 3) DVD:

Episode 18 (The Note)
Episode 19 (The Truth)
Episode 20 (The Pen)
Episode 21 (The Dog)
Episode 22 (The Library)
Episode 23 (The Parking Garage)
Episode 24 (The Cafe)
Episode 25 (The Tape)
Episode 26 (The Nose Job)
Episode 27 (The Stranded)
Episode 28 (The Alternate Side)
Episode 29 (The Red Dot)
Episode 30 (The Subway)
Episode 31 (The Pez Dispenser)
Episode 32 (The Suicide)
Episode 33 (The Fix-Up)
Episode 34 (The Boyfriend 1)
Episode 35 (The Boyfriend 2)
Episode 36 (The Limo)
Episode 37 (The Good Samaritan)
Episode 38 (The Letter)
Episode 39 (The Parking Space)
Episode 40 (The Keys)

Best Fighting Anime superior to the first SF Movie

After watching the amazing anime Street Fighter II - The Animated Movie, I was expecting another great Street Fighter anime. I was kinda' disappointed. This movie had great animation and the characters (although most characters were not even mentioned) were very well drawn and depicted. The movie completely revolves around Ryu...and if there's a bit of time to concentrate on others, a bit on Chun-Li and Ken. None of this bothered me a bit...the only drawback was the lack of a story-line. It was kinda' missing something... The DVD, however, is much better than that of Street Fighter II - The Animated Movie. It has many bonus features and a menu...Imagine that! (Street Fighter II - The Animated Movie didn't have a menu...that kinda' disappointed me). Overall, its a must-see for any Street Fighter fan... A must-buy you may ask...well, rent it first...then you decide.

Mis-treated Gem

"Romancing The Stone" is one of my all-time favorite adventure films. Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner, and Danny DeVito did a fantastic job for acting in this movie. It's packed with action, adventure, and romance! If you haven't seen "Romancing The Stone", rent or buy this film on video or DVD. You won't be disappointed at all.

R-U-N-N-O-F-T and buy this thing!

If you're thinking that a depression-era adaptation of Homer is going to be like a humidity-soaked 10th grade English lesson, fugheddaboudit. "Brother" just comes alive in your mind as you watch it! The brilliant writing and direction, the genius camera work, the dead-on charicatures, all of it comes together and sucks you in to the Coen's off-kilter world. Clooney is a natural for the silver-tongued Ulysses, and Pete and Delmar are perfectly cast - every subtle shift in their simple thought process is clearly written on their face. Pappy O'Daniel, the Bible salesman, the weasly suitor, each one feeds off of the others to generate a bizarre reality full of omens and prophets and insane cow-killing bank robbers with insecurity complexes.
Try it, you'll like it.
