Percussion Bliss

This video turned out to be better than I could have imagined. Neil Peart's discussion of percussion techniques, including his transition from match style to traditional style drumming, is awe inspiring. This video is a must have for any drummer or fan of Neil Peart.

This movie is intense, a must see for any James Woods fan!

When I first heard about this film, is when I saw the trailor, then I knew this movie was going to be good. It starts out with the main character, a 16 year old boy, robbing a Junior Colleges vending machines. He picks up a couple hundred bucks, in quarters. Just when he thinks he's got it all under control an insane security gaurd busts in. A brawl insues and the boy gets away, only after stabbing the gaurd in the chest with a screwdriver. He stumbles back to his friends, blood all over his shirt and jacket. He falls into the apartment where his girlfriend is also crashed. She screams and they hook up with James Woods character who is sort of a doctor. He fixes him up pretty well, only after injecting him with several needles full of heroine. The movie only gets crazier after that!Melanie Griffith is James Woods girl and they take the boy and his girlfriend on a road trip you'll never forget!

The Buddy Holly Story - movie DVD cover picture
THIS MOVIE IS GREAT EVEN IF IT PARTS ARE INACCURATE!

Ok, so Hollywood took some liberties here. Many complaints about this movie deal with the fact that there are many inaccuracies about Holly's life. Maybe so, but Gary Busey (in a well deserved Oscar Nominated role) captures the essence of Holly so effectively, it doesn't matter!!!! Kudos also to Don Stroud and the marvelous Charles Martin Smith who portray the Crickets with equal finesse. So their names were changed for the movie from Jerry Allison and Joe Mauldin! Big Deal! As for the fact that Holly's parents sued the producers of the movie for inaccurately portraying them is absurd as well. Heck, they weren't on the screen more than 3 minutes...first in the church scene, then the Sunday dinner scene! How could one capture accuracy in 3 minutes?? Did this take away from Holly's legend? I DON'T THINK SO. Did it take away from his genius?? Never!! The music score (which won an Oscar) is outstanding and Busey really SHOULD HAVE WON over Jon Voight in Coming HOme, for his portrayal of Holly. Even HOlly's parents endorsed Busey's portrayal saying Busey captured Holly to a tee! Busey is amazing! The lovely actress who played his wife Maria Elena is incandescent. There is not one single flaw in this film!! It is an extraordinarily done biography which would have made Holly proud!! As I said before, the inaccuracies mentioned have not taken away one iota from the Holly mythos. Best Scene: Holly performing "True Love Ways" at the final concert; truly a heartbreaking moment! There is a dandy documentary on the making of the film with Busey and the film's director! There are trailers and subtitles as well. The picture and sound are great!!

Good!

I really like Frosty the Snowman, I was a little toddler when it first came on TV and I grew up watching it when CBS would show it every December. I agree that Frosty Returns isn't as good as the original cartoon and the first time I watched it I didn't like it but then I bought the DVD combo and watched it again and to my surprise I actually liked it. No it will never be as good as the first Frosty cartoon but isn't as bad as I first thought and I'm glad I gave it a second chance and I highly recommend this Frosty DVD combo!

An eXcellent dvd for the summers best blockbuster!

X-men 2 was the best movie to grace the silver screen this year, and its one of the best sequels ever made. This movie is so good that it even surpasses its predicecer (X-men) and it introduces increadable new characters. The special effects and action in this movie are breathtaking, and all the action will keep you on the edge of your seat. This 2-disk dvd is packed with special features, and nearly a dozen deleted/extended scenes. There are 2 seperate commentaries for the movie and a number of behind the scenes documentaries. Strap yourself for an awsome story with explosive action. Highly recomended.

Miracle indeed!!!!

I was lucky enough to acquire this movie from Readers Digest a couple of years back. The lippizaner horses are beautifull and for any horse lover that like to watch these horses do the"air above ground" it is very spectacular to watch. I think the movie get a superb description of how General Patton was indeed responsible for the safeguard of this noble breed.
Please I would recommend to your organization to try to get it back on the market, so other people can see this beautifull movie.
A great family movie and also great for people who love a bit of histoty.

The Terrorists - movie DVD cover picture
gritty cat and mouse game with terrorists

This movie also goes by the title of Ransom in Britain. It is a tense drama with Ian McShane and Sean Connery (need I say more!!???). Connery is the head of a security force sent in to negotiate with terrorist holding an ambassador and his servants. The terrorist demand transport to the airport, where they learn an aeroplane has been hijacked and is awaiting the arrival of the terrorists and their hostages. Connery is determined to stop them at all costs. It is a taught game of move-counter move, with nearly everyone involved running their own game within a game, and Connery can trust no one. McShane is very believable at the head of the hijacking team, that has more than one mask he is wearing.
