One of the best movies I have ever seen

I loved the graphics and alien bugs. They didn't surpass the aliens in the Alien saga but they were plentiful and thats very rare in any movie. See this movie at least once, judge for your self. And buy it from this place, I have never seen such a drop in prices. You can get this movei for 2 to 6 dollars less on line than from your local store!!!!

Great Examination of Female Pleasure

This is a very direct and simple examination of female orgasm and ejaculation and how couples can share that pleasure together. It makes a great pairing with the more advanced DVD on the subject by Dr. Corynna Clarke called "Goddess Worship".

Lonely/Beautiful/Haunting/SUPER movie

"Last Life in the Universe" is such an incredible movie. It's such an incredible character study, letting you to just watch two desperately lonely people start to come together...the imagery and backgrounds are all so eerily beautiful and the acting's so nuanced and subtle...I especially liked the actress who played Nid. Anyway, I really liked this movie. It's sort of like a different spin on "Lost in Translation", with the characters brought together by loss instead of culture. Like I's an incredible movie. :)

'Where's the Boss?'

Caught between the cog wheels???
If you are suffering from work woes, this film is a great one to watch. A co-worker at my last job recommended this film to me. We worked for one of those genome companies, some of us working in a production capacity, doing the same repetitive tasks ad nauseum. The, (in real life), multi-talented Chaplin in this film is a simple-minded factory worker who spends his day going through the same motions over and over again. He does get lunch breaks, but of course his day at work is not without its mishaps. Funny that a 70 year old film about modern times is still not dated.
This film was made in 1936 during the Great Depression, a time when money and bread were scarce, many people feeling the effects. The story line for this movie reveals some of these circumstances, but as Chaplin lives through them, as when he is forced to drink rum bursting out of casks shot by robbers of a department store, one of whom was a previous co-factoryworker, you can't help but laugh, and as the song says, 'just smile'.

Antwone Fisher (Widescreen Edition) - movie DVD cover picture

This movie is the one that should've win Denzel Washington an Academy award, not Training Day. Training day was a good movie, but any decent black actor can play a crazy cop and curse alot. Denzel is too great an actor for that garbage, but that's what white movie critics felt was his best work. Antoine Fisher is a great movie and the storyline is so real. The best thing about this movie is that it shows whites that don't have exposure to black people that we all arn't thugs and gangstas or whoremongers, this movie depicts a child who was physically and mentally tortured by foster parent and overcame this abuse to become a productive member of society.

Music in Motion

"... a standing ovation every night!" in London and New York for this dancing, trumpeting pageantry of youthful America. It would be destined to be its own The Music Man someday if it had even a thin, yet adaptive, storyline of boy-meets-girl, perhaps starring Kevin Bacon's third nephew and with a newly discovered ingenue a la West Side Story. If filmed in DV QuickTime on location in West Baden (Baden-Baden) it would be an ideal premiere at the Heartland Film Festival...(as a putative Cook/Disney production) celebrating a medley of mostly American music in the classical spirit of Fantasia and Allegro Non Troppo.

Wow, this was an edge of your seat guessing game. I was so interested with the plot and was suprised all the way through. It is a nail biter. Drew Barrymore is the perfect example of teenagers today and Andras Jones was wonderful as the chilling "Jimmy" a beaten obsessed "manaic". Andras gave me goose bumps all the way through. Anthony Rapp was also very good in a supporting role. This is an all together great film, and i recommed it with the highest it can recieve 5 stars.

Excellent DVD

I don't reccommend this movie to anyone who wants to see a fun, exciting movie, or anyone who wants a truly deep movie. The plot moves incredibly slowly, and the suspense soon turns to boredom. It masquerades as being deep, but the premise that comicbook heroes and villains are essentially real and walk among us comes off as rather pointless when it is finally revealed in the movie's agonizingly slow manner. Some of the truly great movies made recently manage to be deep and powerful, but still remain exciting and fun to watch. The perfect example of this is "The Matrix". It was naturally fun to watch because of the visual effects, but the premise of it and ingenious use of metaphors was also far more profound and intellectually stimulating than "Unbreakable". Bruce Willis is generally a good actor, but his character is this film comes off as too depressive and one-dimensional to make the movie interesting. While I didn't like this movie, it had a few commendable attributes. It never sank to the level of such poorly made films as "The Perfect Storm", and it didn't try to be a special effects movie, just to lure audiences. However, the bottom line is "Unbreakable" is not a good movie, since it is unbearably boring and lacks a real point to the lengthy, depressing set up that makes up nearly the entire film.

Giving Atheists and Believers common Ground

When you want to create a world for a big budget science fiction movie, it has to litterally be it';s own world with little or no connection with the everyday world. Showing CNN news casters in this movie from start to finish was clearly a case of over-kill and took away from what the film was supposed to be, had George Lucas or Steven Spielberg made this movie, it would have been a lot more then what was delivered here, which was not much. Carl Sagan's best known films and statements on Mankind's place in the universe was much better explored with the PBS series, COSMOS.
