One of the Best Sit-Coms Ever Made

Arrested Development is a brilliant show far ahead of its time. Its ratings alone should have killed it long ago but it genius -- recognized even by newtork types -- has allowed it to persevere. This is a perfectly cast ensemble show about a very dysfunctional family. Its the kind of show where so much happens that episodes don't weaken with repeated viewing. In fact, there's so much detail in them that repeated viewing enhance the experience. That may be part of the problem with the show's ratings: many people may not be able to keep up with it when they see it on a weekly basis. Here's where the DVD's come into play: the show works far better watching 2 or 3 episodes in a row.

Its the kind of show where weeks later I find a joke from it flowing through my mind.

The greatest Fellini film ever made

The least complicated of Fellini's films, La Strada is hauntingly beautiful. Film buffs know that. But anyone can learn from this tale. It's more accessable than most Fellini films, and a morality play that you'll never forget.

The Cable Guy - movie DVD cover picture
Becareful who you chit chat with......

.....he might just be the Boogeyman! Who hasn't thought the cable guy was a hunk and struck up idle conversation to find out more about him? Or talked to the plumber or maintenance guy. Pity poor Matthew Broderick (War Games) who thought he was just being polite but then gets forced into a friendship that is much more than he bargained for. I am a lover of dark comedies and this really fills the bill on that count. The only recent black comedy that does as well is Death to Smoochy. I am surprised by Jim Carrey's performance which is so powerful it carries the film. What he won't do (or undo) for a friend. I've recently been viewing Jim's work from The Mask to The Majestic and am impressed with his talent. This film is a great showcase for his talent and perhaps just a bit too "dark" for some viewers. Maybe mothers should take heed and "kill the babysitter" (TV) so their sons won't grow up like that! I'm gonna be careful the next time my cable guy has to stop by. The hunk could be another CABLE GUY.

Baby Einstein - Language Nursery - movie DVD cover picture

My son absolutely loved this video when he was a baby (he's now a toddler), as well as Baby Mozart. Even now he occasionally asks to see Baby Mozart! We had all 3 (Baby Mozart, Baby Einstein, Baby Bach) so that we could rotate them, and that worked really well. The So Smart! videos are also really good, although admittedly not as entertaining for the adults as Baby Einstein,Mozart, etc.!! I also recommend the Baby's First Impressions videos for babies 8 months and up - we got several of them when our son outgrew Baby Mozart, and now as a toddler they are some of his favorites. ENJOY! YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU GOT BABY EINSTEIN/BABY MOZART/BABY BACH!!

The best show that has ever been on television, period.

Awesome, awesome, awesome.
It was EXACTLY like being back to high school in the early 1980's (and I know 80's nostalgia... I've got Robotron and an Asteroids arcade game in my den). Beyond wonderful. A rare gift from network tv (which they promptly took away).
Buy it, buy it, buy it.

Halloween H2O

"Sensational, Smart And Non-Stop Scary!"~UPN-TV
"A Fun Ride!"~Newsweek
"Jamie Lee Curtis...Sexy, Smart And Stunning!"~Los Angeles Times
"An Instant Classic!"~WWOR-TV

This smart and suspenseful thriller scares up a bone-chilling good time with original scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis and a hot cast of hipyoung stars. Now the headmistress of a private school, Laurie Strode (Curtis) is still struggling with the horriying, 20-year-old memories of the maniacal killer Michael Myers...when he suddenly reappears with a vengeance! And this Halloween, his terror will strike a whole new generation! Laurie;s rebellious son (Josh Hartnett), his girlfriend (Michelle Williams) and the school security guard (LL Cool J) will become Michael's newest victims unless Laurie can conquer her greatest fears and put evil in its place once and for all! The time has come again for you to experience the frightening fun of Halloween-the motion picture series that totally redefined terror!

Look for Janet Leigh (Curtis' mother), and notice the car she gets into, it was the one from "Psycho".

I highly recommend this film, especially if you were a fan of Halloween and Halloween 2. These three movies are the best in the series.

Arnold for Prez!!!!

My god this movie rocks. It starts off with Arnold and these ultra tough guys(A red neck, a indian, a black guy, and a nerd)going into the jungle to kill some commie scum. On their way to battle they find some dead Americans skinned in a tree. Apparently commies skin their kills and hang them in trees so they continue on to find em. After a while they find the commie base. Arnold, being tough as nails blows up a bunch of stuff and rushes in and kills like half the guys in the camp. His team helps with the rest and they find this chick and take her prisoner. On the way back to the rendezvous point the commie chick tries to escape but then the nerdy guy catches her....and then he gets his guts blown out and gets drug into the forest by some strange invisible thing. The rest of the gang finds her and she says in commie speak that some demon came outa the forest. That demon is the friggin predator. He is amazing. He will rock you. He ends up killing everyone except Arnold and the chick(woman aren't a challenge). The only reason while Arnold doesn't die is because he's the main character and the USA likes happy endings. This movie is way more believable than AVP and Predator 2....but those movies are still pretty great. This is one of the best action movies ever. I traveled to the dominican republic just to have my DVD of The Predator blessed by a voodoo shaman.
