Final Battle

I'd just like to say that once the 5th DVD was over I was happy to learn there was more to come. I love the storyline, the art, and I love the characters. Nothing turned out the way i thought it would, which was a nice surprise. You definantly have to start from the begining, but you better beleive its worth it.

Forget what you think you know, this is a classic

Before quite a number of people only knew him for the Scream trilogy, Wes Craven crafted this horror masterpiece that nearly put any film labeled with the words Halloween or Friday the 13th to shame. Wes Craven's original Nightmare on Elm Street introduced Freddy Kruger (played by Robert Englund), a menacing boogeyman (even more boogeyman-esque than Michael Myers) that would become one of the genre's most beloved and well known icons. Heather Langenkamp stars as Nancy; a young teen who begins having horrific nightmares involving a mutilated man with some sharp claws on one of his hands. The same happens to Nancy's friends, with some more fatal results, and Nancy soon realizes that this boogeyman is something more than a dream. While many of the following sequels were horribly inept to the original (except for New Nightmare: the only sequel that Craven would direct), the original is much more horrifying and suspenseful than it is credited for. The rest of the cast includes B-movie god John Saxon as Nancy's father, and a very young Johnny Depp in his screen debut as Nancy's boyfriend, whose death is one of the best in the genre.

If you like meddle, you'll love this

When it said, "live in pompeii" I automatically thought that there would be a bunch of people there, and maybe a cool lazer show or something. In actuality, this concert is a private recording, with nobody watching except the setup crew and producers. In spite of this, the video still has unbelievable electricity. Gilmour's guitar riffs throughout the movie are absolutely awesome, and are, in my opinion, the highlights of the vid. Although, the film focuses a lot of its time on Nick Mason. They concentrate in on his drum solos numerous times through the show. One downside of the video is when they interview the bandmates, Richard Wright is left out, and never interviewed. Otherwise, if you like Meddle, saucerful of secrets, and dog-howling blues, this is for you.

my all-time favorite!!

I absolutely love this movie. The interactions between all the actors is terrific - it's a laugh a minute. Extremely well-written and wonderfully well-acted. Kevin Kline is wonderful! I can't say enough good things about this movie, so I recommend you buy it ASAP.

An All Around Excellent Movie

This movie captured my attention the moment I heard about it. I saw it and......wow. The story is really great. The only way you could picture this stunning movie is in anime which the director did a great job on.

It'll be interesting to see how it comes out...

OK, I'm going to be honest. I've not seen this DVD, nor did I watch WrestleMania X8 on TV. But there's a good reason.
It's because I was there.
Honestly, there is no media available than can encapsulate the feeling that I had as The Rock and Hollywood Hulk Hogan stood fact to face in front of 68,000 fans. Predictably, the match wasn't the classic that some are claiming that it was, but the emotion and crowd involvement put it in the same league as Undertaker/Mankind at King Of The Ring 1998 - great spectacle, average wrestling.
Unfortunately, nothing could match that on the night. Triple H vs. Chris Jericho was something of a letdown, as Stephanie McMahon made sure that she was the centre of attention, making the true stars play second fiddle to her shimmery blue catsuit and lack of suitable underwear.
Edge, Christian and Trish Stratus' Toronto homecomings were slightly disappointing, though in Trish's case, this could be to do with the fact that she was utterly dire in the ring, leaving Jazz to clean up the mess that her and Lita made. Edge vs. Booker T was let down by the storyline that preceded it. A match at WrestleMania over a shampoo commercial? Please.
Best bump of the night has to be Mighty Molly Holly, who sold the impact of a door so convincingly that we all thought she had actually hit it.
Also, keep an eye of Drowning Pool's rendition of Tear Away, which fell horribly flat due to the poor justaposition of the song in the event, meaning that all the fans were sitting...waiting for the next match. The resounding scream of "WrestleMania baby!!!" - or whatever it was he said - was met with an indifferent, uncomfortable silence. Maybe they'll dub some cheers over the top of it, just so Drowning Pool can save face.
Still, it was an excellent WrestleMania, not the best of all time, but the nostalgia of Hulk Hogan at a WM was worth the one hundred and forty quid it cost for a floor seat. Hopefully the DVD will cover Axxess aswell, as that was equally awesome.
I didn't get to slap the snot out of Michael Cole though, that's why I'm going back next year.

Barenaked Ladies - Barelaked Nadies

A must for any true BNL fan. 2/3 of the videos on this DVD I have never seen before, (they were only shown in Canada). The Live concert footage alone is worth the price of this DVD. My wife & I watched it on a Saturday night & could not believe when it was over three hours had gone by. As a record collector with over 5000 albums, 2000 45's & 3000 CD's in my collection I can assure you that you won't be sorry with this purchase.

OUTDATED? YES, BUT HIGHLY EFFECTIVE!

There were negative comments about how the this video is cheesy and reminds you of the Jane Fonda exercise videos of the 80s. Well, this video was done in 1990 so what more could you expect? This video is fantastic! It is a classic that I find myself doing if I want a surefire fat blaster workout. Despite being more than a decade old, it is very effective in losing those pounds and inches. It kept my heart rate up but not too high the entire hour. It is mostly low impact and the few moves that are high impact can be easily modified.Yes, the sets are not fancy and the feel is very 80's, but it did not matter because to me it was a perfect workout. I even enjoyed the 1950's dance segment. Personally, I liked the change of scenery because it broke up the aerobic segments nicely. The tape reminds me a bit of the FIRMs aerobic weight training method but this tape makes it way more fun.One thing it is missing is ab work which is easy to add on.This is a great tape for people that have a hard time keeping doing an hour workout because of attention span. I've heard people say that this or that tape was over before you know it - this is definitely one of those!
Get this on DVD!
