Night of the Living Dead (Special Collector's Edition) - movie DVD cover picture
NOTLD

We deserve this. After countless...VHS and DVD releases, that awful 1980's colorized version, and that blasphemous 1998 re-edit (John Russo, I'm still not over you!), this is the edition that's a keeper. After violent fan reaction to the aforementioned, George Romero comes to the rescue with a beautiful transfer, THX certified sound, and enough extras to keep you busy for hours. Trailers, TV spots, the amusing parody "Night Of The Living Bread", interviews with stars Duane Jones and Judith Ridley, an insightful commentary by George Romero and cast, and footage from a "lost" George Romero film. As another reviewer pointed out, you have to use the >> on your remote control to go through the shooting script, photo gallery, cast members' scrapbooks, and the posters and collectibles, but it's still a treasure trove for "Dead" fans.

Blows "Pearl Harbor" Outta The Water...!!!

After watching this film I can't even compare it to the 2001 version featuring Ben Affleck. This movie is in a different(and higher) class. First of all the acting is superior, no sappy love-story, and also it's historically accurate as well. If you'll excuse the pun this movie blows Ben's movie outta the water! The 2001 souped-up Hollywood crap cannot even come close to this work of art. Alot of research was put into this film and both Japanese and American points of view are shown throughout the movie. You don't see any Hollywood heartthrob actors who cannot act, just good solid acting. Yes the 1970s special effects are not up to par with todays CGIs but its still way ahead of its time and folks if you ask me the acting and storyline more than makes up for it. So if you want to REALLY witness what happened at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 buy this film you wont be dissapointed. If you wanna just watch Ben Affleck and crew (who cannot act) go through the motions with a crappy Hollywood formula-movie then go rent/buy Pearl Harbor.

Mrs. Doubtfire (Widescreen Edition) - movie DVD cover picture
A tragedy dressed of comedy!

In the whole life there is nothing serious that it can not be expressed through a smile. The terrible marriage crisis in a middle class family, will turn on the light to tell a story loaded of affection and hope. A father will make the impossible to conquer and recover the love and warmth of his kids when the breakthrough of the divorce appears.
He will navigate against all the odds till the time comes for this genial masquerade plenty of funny situations that make us to forget the dramatic nucleus around it.
Mrs Doubtfire was a real punch and seems to improve through the ages. Somehow this film was the funny side of Kramer vs Kramer. The solid performance made for Robin Williams to my mind has been his second best achievement after Fisher King to date. The rest of the cast was impressive with Sally Field as the merciless wife and Pierce Brosnan as her fianc?e.
The corporal expression, the Irish accent was so convincing that I guess any other actor in the world in these ages can play this role.

One of the great animated classics

I remember loving "The Last Unicorn" as a child, and was thrilled to find it for sale on Amazon.com! This movie in it's fantasy setting, with it's subtle yet strong references to the endless struggle of good and evil...is absolutely amazing. This is a movie that will keep you spellbound with a story of love, beauty, greed, and sorrow. It is beautifully animated, and it keeps my own kids glued to their seats each time they watch it. "The Last Unicorn" is a must have for your video collection whether you are 5 or 105.

Female Masturbation : Every Woman's Orgasm is Unique. - movie DVD cover picture
Unusual.

I am always so disappointed when I read people making condescending comments about what they think a woman's orgasm should be , what the woman showing it should look like, how she should sound, whether her technique is right or wrong...Such narrow views...so limiting...

To me this DVD was unusual, watching a woman bringing herself to orgasm by manual stimulation of her clitoris and keeping herself there in that intense orgasmic feeling for 30 minutes was mind expanding !!!!

I found it especially interesting because even though our sex life is fun when I showed it to my husband, it gave him reality about what I have tried to explain to him for a while: he doesn't need to be all over the place. Whether with his tongue or his finger, some simple strokes, and when he is on that spot that feels so good, keep on playing me right up there for as long as he can as this woman does.

Don't get caught in the simplicity of the production but watch with a new eye and it may take your sex life to a new thrilling place as it did ours.

Powerfully Moving

In a society where violence is glorified and warfare sanitized, this film is a powerfully moving testament to the horrors and inhumanity of war. Recognizing that soldiers are real people, it lets the audience in to the minds of those who were witness to such tragedy. An unforgettable call to remember the sacrifices made by our parents and grandparents.

The Bourne Identity (Widescreen Collector's Edition) - movie DVD cover picture
Great Movie!

Doug Liman's "The Bourne Identity" is a snazzy, jazzily directed, edited and scored film about a rogue intelligence agent (not specifically identified but probably C.I.A) who is found floating in the sea, near death at the films beginning.Bourne (Matt Damon) has a capsule inserted in his brain and 2 bullets in his back and has no idea who or what he is. It is Liman's job to trace Bourne's steps backwards as well as forwards in time as Bourne tries to answer the question, "Who Am I?"
Matt Damon is the real revelation here as he has finally come into his own as an actor with this complex, multi-layered and conflicted portrayal of Bourne who is as physically as well as mentally acute: he is more acting than acted upon. Damon is no longer the street punk of "Good Will Hunting" but an adult with adult emotions and motivations. Franka Potente, so good in "Blow" as well as "Run Lola Run" plays the "girl" Bourne finds along the way and she also makes a forceful impression here."The Bourne Identity" is Doug Liman's step into the big time after his successes in independent films like "Go," and he does a terrific job of holding this huge enterprise together with style and relevance.
