Music is the soul, and sometimes the mind and body as well..

I watched this movie only because my brother brought it home from Blockbuster on a boring Friday night. I got around to seeing it that next Monday and thought intensly the whole time!
This movie is truly for the poetic at heart and lovers of classic style momentia. Aside from the nudity and "sex" scenes it has a strong basis for true perfectionism. I don't think that there is any other movie that stands anywhere near this is it's context, besides Imortal Beloved.
I think that this movie is a very interesting look on the way "music" and love eternal tie in together. Looking at this film I see that there are many different ways to interpret it, but there is always the mind, and the it goes is what we go with. I liked how all the doifferent cultures were brought into the story and how it began in one place, slowly but surly heading boutlessly toward another...
From Italy, to Austria, to Asia, To Canada, and finally America. It shows that true forms of art can still be found somewhere. Wherther this is real or not makes no mind, it is truly a masterpiece!

This anime has moved to the top three in my list of favorite animes. I love Berserk, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Big O, Armitage (all of them), Escaflowne, Rocord Of Lodoss, & many more. Demon Eyes Kyo is now tied at second place with Cowboy Bebop.I absolutely loved each of the main characters. They had great humor and complete loyalty to one another.I purchased the complete collection because of some happy reviews that I read. I had no idea what to expect and I fell in love with the series ten minutes into the first episode. It felt, somewhat, like watching the FOX TV series '24' in the fact that you just couldn't get enough and had to keep watching to see what was going to happen next.To me, it was completely worth every dollar spent. I wear my new 'Samuri Deeper Kyo' t-shirt with extreme pride!

This is television?

What do you do with a priest who's bank account seems to accidentally 'store' charity money on a regular basis?
What do you do with a priest who's senile, drunk and violent?
What do you do with a priest who's too stupid to tell the difference between 'small' and 'far away'?
You hide them away on a small island with a demented housekeeper and hope they don't get out....
Father Ted is surreal, silly, intelligent and dry. Highlights include any time Father Jack (Drink! Girls! Feck!) wakes up and almost any conversation with the amazingly dim Father Dougle.

Jawdropping Performance

Words cannot accurately describe the sheer brutality and power of this band live. From the moment Napalm Death takes the stage at the University of London, they OWN IT!! The most intense 70 minutes (not including the extra songs from 96 & 97 tours) ever caught on film. The setlist is heavily laden with older material such as Scum, You Suffer (which is all of 4 seconds long!), Life, and The Kill. Although there are quite a few Enemy of the Music Business tracks represented here too: Next on the List, Constitutional Hell, Take the Poison, Can't Play Won't Pay, Vermin etc. There are some KILLER cover songs like Raw Power's Politicians, which might be the best track on the whole dvd, Death's Back from the Dead, and the Dead Kennedy's Nazi Punks to name a few. Barney Greenway's voice is just as good live as it is on record, which is completely unfathomable. The sounds that eminate from this man are astounding. Danny Herrera is nothing sort of a machine with precision and intensity that are unmatched. Shane is the glue that holds it all together, and hold it together he does. This band is as tight as they come. Mitch and Jesse are as good a one-two punch of guitarist as there are on the planet(only King and Hanneman are even close). As I sat and watched Punishment in Capitals, I could not help but notice that my jaw was agape the entire running time, this DVD is documented testimony and legitimate claim that Napalm Death are the best metal/hardcore/grindcore/whatever band to ever walk the face of this earth. Highest Recommendation.

A gentle story about...

This movie, at first, I didn't want to see...but katie Holmes plays a fantastic April, who tries her best to make a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner for her family, even though she can't cook, all to bring her family together and see her as something more than just a punked out girl. Dinner doesn't work out and she depends on her neighbors help to bring it all together.

Outstanding DVD of a Terrific Film ******!!!

This movie is perhaps one of the most unappreciated westerns of all times. It still amazes me at the number of people I speak to who claim to be fans of the western genre, and yet have never even heard of this movie. While not as well known (or as fast pased) as any of Leone's "Fistful of Dollars" movies, this movie is technically superior to all of them. Leone is on top of his craft here, using the camera to highlight the actors's faces in gigantic close-ups, the shear size of them grant the actors an immediate epic status. This movie is admittedly very short on dialogue and on action, but the movie is an extreme study in mood. The style of the movie is almost operatic in its conception.
I'd like to say a few words about the dvd. The transfer is bright, and with a few minor exceptions there is no noticible grit from the transfer. The commentary is a rather mixed dish, with so many actors, directors and critics contributing to it that you end up with portions of it that are very good and others that you wish would just be quiet. The Documentary on the second disc is very well done and while it employs the same people as the commentary, a much more consistent experience. If only all dvd releases could be this good! Considering the price and the quality and number of the special features, it is perhaps one of the best priced dvds on the market

A movie definitely worth seeing...

Even if you have no clue about surfing, you will enjoy the movie. There are a few cheesy scenes, which only surfers could appreciate but the movie redeems itself with spectacular cinematography and a truly enjoyable cast. Although parts of the script are weak, they are small and fairly unnoticable. The supporting cast is wonderful and of course surfer's will love the waves.

Mission Accomplished - Really!

I have seen the movie in the theatre and purchased the DVD. I think M. Moore has achieved his goal with this movie. In it, the viewer is confronted with different opinions and information than the normal drivel we are supplied by many of the "news" organizations. After seeing this movie I began investigating what had been presented and discussing it with others, the main point of this documentary. Many citizens of this country have become extremely complacent, allowing our government and the media to feed us our thoughts and needs. This movie has rattled our psyche and it has made it use the best tool we have, our brains.

A good follow up to this movie is to go and read the Wolfowitz Doctrine (can be accessed on PBS website). If you watch the movie again it might put it in a new perspective for you, moreover you might need a pair of Michael Moore's free underwear.

Jennifer Lopez's best performance since Out of Sight with Ge

'Enough' is about a working class waitress named Slim (Jennifer Lopez) who finds her life transformed when she marries a wealthy contractor named Mitch who seems to be Mr. Right (but turns out to be Mr. Wrong). So she settles into a as good as it gets suburban life and seems to have everything she wants! A loving husband, beautiful home, and a little 5 year old girl named Gracie. Her dream is shattered when she discovers her husband is anything but perfect and is in fact a cheat, a liar, and a abuser. His abusive behavior forces her to go on the run. Even with Slim's great efforts to try and make a new life without him, Mitch and his thugs find her and threaten her once more. Which gives her no choice but to put Gracie in safe keeping with her best friend (Juliette Lewis) and get a trainer to prepare herself better mentally and physically so she can square off with Mitch face to face (only this time prepared) for the final time and show him she's had ENOUGH!!!

Rambo 3 pack....thank you DVD god!!!

Despite of what every one else think, I must say I like Rambo. He's a tough guy that also has his troubles and I like that.
In the first movie, former Vietnam-warrior John Rambo is a sad, lonely hitch-hiker. All his friends from Nam has passed away and he's just walking around America. A small-town cop doesn't like Rambo and thinks he's trouble. He takes Rambo to the station were an evil polisofficer named Galt beats him up. The station's youngster (David Caruso from NYPD blue) warns them about what will happend. Eventually Rambo breaks out of the station and goes to hide in the cold woods. A long chase begins, that practically last the whole movie. Rambo accidently kills poor officer Galt. Richard Crenna plays Trautman, Rambos officer in Vietnam, that suddenly shows up. He just "want's to take his kid back alive", while the other policemen want him buried. In the end, Rambo runs back to the city, steals an M60 and starts shooting at things (never people) and blowing up houses (never with people in it). The policeofficer that captured Rambo in the beginning of the film, tries to shoot him, but Rambo fills him with bullets instead. But he's not really dead, and when Rambo goes to "finish the job", Trautman shows up. He talks softly with Rambo. Rambo has a nervous breakdown and starts crying. He misses his old war-buddies. This is real good acting by Stallone, and I shiver every time I see it. Rambo cries in Trautman's arms, before the police takes him away.
I give this first Rambo-movie three stars. My favorite scenes are the one where Rambo breaks loose from the police and the final scene with Trautman. One of the first action-films in it's kind!
