More great Judy

Yes, the picture quality does vary more but I'm still thrilled that they are releasing every episode in whatever condition. I loved the overture to show 23; Mort brings great energy to his conducting and the camera work is stunning. I actually clapped when Judy comes on!
I noticed in show 23 the tightrope Judy walks in regards to making herself human and yet always professional. In her mistakes and occasional visible discomfort or just her high strung nature, she seems fragile and uncertain. Then she will recover brilliantly with more heart and soul than a galaxy of lesser stars. Or she will reveal an emotional nuance in the music I hadn't notice before. That tightrope is what made her electric, fascinating and ultimately the most charismatic of stars. She brings you into her performance and then reveals or discovers something new in the artistry of singing.
Finally, make sure you watch the outtakes; in particular, Atcheson Topeka. Her response to a flub made me laugh out loud.

Really Makes You Think

When I first watched the movie, I was in love with its black humour. I also noticed that every person I knew who watched this movie wore army jackets and thrift-shop clothing and liked performance art. I was in a film class and I talked about how I loved good, black-humoured movies. The film professor looked a little bit preturbed and I often wondered why. One day, I looked at the movie again and I realized that I had missed the point entirely. I felt sick to my stomach because I thought, "Well, I'm turning into my own Alex." Boy, does this movie make you think. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be off to watch some taped episodes of Oz.

A Kick-Booty show.

This is such a phenomenal anime that has gained popularity since 1996 here in the u.s. but here in America on TV, it has been edited for younger viewers.
Now on DVD, it's fully uncut for your pleasure and in Japanese with subtitles. This show tells the adventures of Goku, a married man with his tough son Gohan with friends who seek out to find the mystical Dragonballs from tons of powerful enemies.
An awesome show with lots of spectacular fight scenes and good animation, one of the best anime shows with Sailor Moon, Tenchi Muyo, Digimon, Transformers, Ranma 1/2, Outlaw Star, and Samaurai Pizza Cats. Plus there is a ton of hotties on this show including the green haired beauty " Bulma", she is every animation lover's dream come true.

THE BEST!

This is a very good movie folks, but you want to know the strange part?! Naoko Takeuchi is the creator of this movie! Compaired to Sailor Moon, it's WAY differnt, but also A LOT BETTER in it's own way, WARNING THOUGH, there is nudity and part that are NOT for little kids, I mean look at the cover of this movie! LoL, but anyway if your 13 or over it's good and I know you'll love it!

A Masterpiece....

Once in a lifetime a movie comes along that is capable of being more than just a movie. This is such a film. This movie changed my life. As a kid I was pushed down the stairs, beat up and made fun of everyday at school. I used to prey for massive snowstorms so I would get some relief. Even now when I have the blues I put this movie on. After viewing, nothing in my life seems so bad. John Merrick had it bad. This film shows the cruelity of the world, and shows what a little love and kindness can do. Beautifuly filmed in glorious black-and-white, it uses camera angles and shadows like no other film I've seen. David Lynch's direction is both emotional and frightning. He shows the horrors of the world but not for shock value. It teaches us all a lesson that even what seems to be monsterous is still human and worth love and affection. In some twisted way this is a love story. For love does conquer all...

Not my favorite movie, but in my top ten. It certainly the best acted and directed movie I have ever seen. Suprisingly uplifting for such a dark and grim premise.

Horror at its darkest and most memorable.

Christopher Walken is excellent as a man who awakens from a coma to discover he has the ability to see somebody's future just by touching them. His character is sympathetic and well-thought-out and the film is a wealth of thought-provoking, interesting ideas and truly haunting images. The darker side of the human mind and the worrying prospect of what might be just around the corner for everybody are explored wonderfully in a film which faultlessly brings the atmosphere of the unputdownable book to the screen.

NOT UNCUT

I'm sure even Dr. Stupid would agree that it was a bad idea to call this set UNCUT. It is mesleading to put the word "uncut" in large type on the cover of the set when every episode is not uncut.

That said, some episodes are completly uncut and are labeled as such. If you know this before buying, you come to it with open eyes and there is no need to get upset. Sure, I want every episode uncut, but that's not what this set is. And frankly I'm so glad to have them in high quality (for the most part - some episodes are noticably grainy) and the illuminating bonus material that it doesn't matter.

For new commers to Ren & Stimpy you are in for a real treat. Many of the story ideas and elements feel as if they came to this planet from some far off galaxy. Shaven yacks? Magic Nose Goblins? A super hero made of powdered toast? Yes, they do exist and can all be found on this set with many more outragous characters and situations.

Also on this set is the never aired "Man's Best Friend" pilot. The set lists the episode as on disc 3 but it actually appears on dics 2. Frankly I wasn't that impressed with the show, but was cool to finally see where the segments for the opening credits came from.

To date, this is the best presentation of Ren & Stimpy offered. All fans should pick it up (despite the few edits) and new viewers will marvel at the sureal world and unbelievable characters of Ren & Stimpy.

Belushi Is One Tough Dude

I just saw this movie today on FX and damn...it's badass. I had never even heard of it until seeing promos for it the past couple of days, and I've got to give props. [...]

The auditorium scene is great...Belushi lets the students know that "The Principal" is in charge.
