Minna's Balanced Blend is the Best !!!

I really love this DVD because it is very well-rounded. I like doing the aerobic "Fat Eliminator" in the morning because it is very energizing and not too lengthy (30 min.) The optional "Blast the Fat" segment is a great add-on to the previous workout (an additional 15 min.) or you can do it alone if you're in a real time crunch. "Strength and Grace" is a yoga-based workout that focuses on strength exercises combined with deep breathing and stretching. It is truly unique. I enjoy doing this one before bed because it is very relaxing towards the end. It is a great stress reliever and it will help you to look great too! I started this program 1 month after abdominal surgery (with my doctor's permission, of course) so I was kind of out of shape when I started it. It is about 3 weeks later and I can't tell you how much stronger I am and how much better I feel. I almost didn't mention I'm looking better too! I give this DVD an A+ !!!

My Favorite Movie

What more can I say? The best vacation this one is, and certainly the funniest. I love all the constant jokes, and Ellen is totally hot in that Wayniac outfit. "Now please enjoy the dam tour" 5/5!

How I feel about Left Behind

This movie will knock your socks off! If you are not saved it will make you wish you were. All of the actors are wonderful. They will make you cry as well as leap for joy. I had read all of the books, so I knew what was going to happen, but to see it on screen, was a totally new experience. And of course, Kirk Cameron is in it, who is wonderful in himself. I praise God that him and his wife are saved and willing to spread the word. My only question at the end of this movie was "When is the next one?" So go out and see it or better yet buy it. You will be pleased. Don't forget to bring someone along!

Awesome in its Purest Form

This film is absolutely brilliant in every respect. Heston is great in the lead, and I don't see why everybody bashes him. The concept is great, the ending is great, and it's easily in my top three films of all time. Also, anybody who says the newer Planet of the Apes is better should be shot because Tim Burton absolutely killed this classic.

"Good over Evil ~ Sleeping Beauty by Disney"

The final of the Disney fairy tale series is no sleeper in "Sleeping Beauty", a classic tale with all the trimmings ~ including one of the best loved scores ever to grace the big screen. Must make mention the music was nominated for Best Musical Score in 1959, the Tchaikovsky composition blending pure adaptation through brilliant arrangements. The films running time is 75 minutes, but all the extras of bonus features and technical specifications is pure gravy.
Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound gives the viewer options of Widescreen and Fullscreen ~ "RESCUE AURORA" set-top adventure game ~ 3-D virtual galleries ~ "ONCE UPON A DREAM" is The making of Sleeping Beauty" ~ Story Reels ~ Princess personality game ~ Sleeping Beauty ink and paint game ~ Academy award- winning "GRAND CANYON" short film ~ The brilliant music ~ The design ~ The restoration ~ Four artists paint one tree ~ "THE PETER TCHAIKOVSKY STORY" ~ Creating the backgrounds ~ DVD-ROM links ~ THX-certified ~ and much, much more!
This is a must have for "Disney-classic-collectors" that will do your ever growing collection proud. This is someting you'll cherish and watch over and over again through the years. Disney has done it again ~ it just keeps getting better with every DVD release from the Disney people...gotta love it! Total: 2-CD-Set ~ Walt Disney Home Video 29755 ~ (9/09/2003)

September Tapes - movie DVD cover picture
Utterly gripping and real

It is unfortunate if anyone reading the other comments on this forum is deterred from renting - or buying - this extraordinary depiction of Afghanistan. The acting is so completely first rate that I really couldn't tell if it was real or not - only some of the too good to be true scenes - the live filming of assassination, and the most realistic firefight I've seen ever - eventually gave it away. The attitude of the lead character was so typical of too many fundamentally decent people who I observed overreacting to 9-11. The movie was deeply frightening as I watched helplessly as he dragged his hapless associates deeper and deeper into a pit that had no bottom. Yet it was all too easy to believe that someone schooled in the Woodstein myth of journalism and the implicit assumption that being an American renders one basically invulnerable to the normal risks that other human beings are subject to, could have made the decisions that he did. Ultimately I found the film worked effortlessly on multiple levels, the most compelling being the central character standing in for America in Afghanistan and, indeed, the whole of the Muslim World itself, driving deeper and deeper into an incredibly dangerous place that he can't begin to understand, taking those foolish enough to believe in it along with it on what could prove to be a one way ticket to disaster.

The Ben Stiller Show - movie DVD cover picture
Been waiting for publication of this show for TEN years

Finally! Simply the finest comedic television of the last decade. My friends and I have worn out our VHS dubs of dubs of dubs. We even wrote to the studios at one time begging for official release. Stiller is a master of the comedy sketch-- especially parodies of popular culture. Smarter and more daring than his films-- perhaps part of why the show was cancelled. The best supporting cast/co-writers ever: Andy Dick, Janine Garofolo, Bob Odenkirk.

Malcolm X - movie DVD cover picture
So what if Lee took "dramatic license"

There appears to be a debate by reviewers here that Spike Lee altered some of Malcolm's history to make a more entertaining movie. Others feel that the civil rights leader was the embodiment of evil, undeserving of this filmed tribute.
No film is perfect and no docudrama is historically accurate (see "Braveheart" or "Titanic", for example). But, "Malcolm X" is totally engrossing from start to finish, with great acting from not only stars Washington and Bassett but from Albert Hall ("Baines"), Delro Lindo ("Archie") and a remarkably realistic portrayal by Al Freeman, Jr. as the Honorable Elijah Mohammed.
Veteran actors Lonette McKee, Peter Boyle, Christopher Plummer, and Ossie Davis round out the superb cast and add a touch of clout to the proceedings.
Whether or not all of the story is true, the outstanding performances make up for any inaccuracies.
And, yes, I, too, read the book.

The Secret Garden - movie DVD cover picture
Garden therapy revives children in England.

Mary Lennox is a pitiful, spoiled little girl whose parents die in an earthquake, and she is sent to her maternal uncle- by marriage to live on his melancholy estate in England. Anger drives Mary, not just because she has lost her parents and her the life she knows, but also because her parents paid no attention to the little girl who was being raised by servants. When Mary arrives at her uncle's home, she finds more of the same, except that the servants expect her to be more independent. Spoiled, Mary is angry by the loss of control of her world. One day, while exploring the vast grounds of the estate, Mary discovers there is a secret garden with no known key to the door. Mary becomes determined to find a way inside the garden, and when she does she transforms herself and all around her. A lovely story for children and adults.
