The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 - movie DVD cover picture

If Texas Chainsaw Massacre is the King of Redneck Horror, here reigns the Duke. Take one serving of Leatherface, add in some Dennis Hopper, and kick it in the teeth with Bill Moseley as Chop Top, and you have a winning recipe for your next batch of cannibal chili. The secret's in the meat, friends.
While it lacks the serious, wet-your-pants horror of the first movie, this humourous spin has what it takes to make mouths happy. This chainsaw fan can't argue with anything involving Dennis Hopper wielding twin chainsaws in order to send his arch-enemies back to hell, while Leatherface shows his softer side and woos a disc-jockeying chickie. Even more fun is the random addition of Chop Top(Bill Mosely, of House of 1000 Corpses fame) and his Vietnam veteran antics.
If you're ready to settle down and take your TCM a little less seriously, slop yourself up a bowl-full of this film. It aims to please.

Dick Shawn steals the show for me in this great movie

This is truly one of the funniest movies ever made. There are many great moments but I must admit that my favourite character is Sylvester, the beatnik lifeguard with an oedipus complex, played by Dick Shawn. He was a brilliant comic actor (the only other film that I have seen him in is The Producers with Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel, in which he is equally hilarious). I first saw this film when I was a child in the 1970's and have watched it several times on television since then. I do not think that I ever seen the extended version, but this so-called trimmed down version is tremendous.

Really good film about dating and the work place

"Boomerang" was one of Eddie Murphy's best and most underated films. Robin Givens stars in the film as a sexy business woman that Eddie Murphy woos but she get's the last laugh. Then comes along sweet little Halle Berry before she was a mega star. This is a really good flm with a lot of today's top talent. Look for David Allen Grier, and Chris Rock and Eartha Kitt gives a dazzling sexy performance for a senior citzen!

A Great Journey

This is a GREAT Example what can be done to improve an existing COLOR classic to make it even better. The colors are even brighter than when the picture first came out back in the late 50's. The sound score is even more rich and fuller than I imagined. If you like movies from the 50's then this is definitely one worth having.

Forget what the critics have said.

They only like movies about people from the 16th century counting match sticks that go on for 3hrs anyway. This movie rules! If you are looking for a really entertaining way to spend a couple of hours I highly recommend this movie. You'll be glad you watched it.

Where it all began

Being a Huge fan of Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs I waited for this show to start in 1998 and have never missed a single episode since. Three sisters reunited in the family manor and discover they are more then sisters.. THE CHARMED ONES protectors of the innocent. For many Purists the 1st season has what they love "Sisters who happen to be witches not the other way around I too feel that later in the shows run the sister aspect was pushed aside but at least in season 1 its still here. Only real clunker is the ep "When bad warlocks go good" other then that the 1st season shines.

Great fun X 3

It would be difficult to find a better chase scene than the truck chase through the desert in "Raiders..." The whole first movie is essential viewing for anyone who enjoys film adventure. "Crusade" offers up several great chase sequences as well, especially the one involving tanks. The movie seems a bit silly to me at times, bordering on self-parody, but it is great fun overall, and Sean Connery and Harrison Ford work very well together. "Temple" is a little trickier. It is the "black sheep" of the trilogy, and I have generally dismissed it over the years. However, after watching it again on DVD, I didn't think it was so bad after all. It, too, has some great action sequences in it (especially the finale). Some may think it suffers from the overly "girlie" heroine, but it's nice to see different sorts of women in these movies, and Kate Capshaw pretty much nails it as a diva. There is plenty of humor without going over the top as "Crusade" occasionally threatened to do. If voodoo dolls are not quite as satisfying as Nazi goons, well, so what? I'm glad this movie is different from the others.

To sum up, each of these movies still provides great entertainment value, over and over again.

a new perspective on fish, life, and everything in between

Awkward, and at times uncomfortable, John Lurie invites the viewer to accompony him and some rather amazing film and music stars on his extreme fishing trips. While going completely off target, and abandoning all sense of reality, Lurie manages to leave everthing behind except what is fundimentally important in life (whether you're Dennis Hopper, Tom Waits, or nobody in particular), and that is: well, i'm still not quite sure. Whatever it is, John Lurie has somehow caputered in these episodes...Brilliant work...

You may think this is a movie for kids, but you're wrong!

I know it is aimed for youger kids, but still it's great for all ages.I think the newer version of this movie is better than the older one, which I rented and immmediatley liked. I was probely 10 when I rented it and I still love it. I think this version's box is alot cooler, and thhe behind the scene's documentary is great. This movie about a girl named Kiki. When she turns 13, she and cat Jiji{ I don't know why but they spelled like this in the movie, and Gigi on the box. Or maybe it was vice-versa}, must leave their house for a year so Kiki can train as a witch. And she begins a delivery service. I would advice people to {at least} rent this movie. And if you like it, you would not regret buying it, whether you're an anime fan.
