Kyuuketsuki Miyu

Frozen in eternal youth, childlike Miyu is a vampire that has the destiny of returning stray Shinma to the dark. Her silent companion Larva aids her in her inescapable fate, while the spiritualist Himeko keeps interfering with admirable curiosity. This anime is told with Himeko as the eyes of the story while Miyu and Larva are lurking around the corner. Very well drawn with aesthetic beauty. Miyu has a good seiyuu that captures her mysterious laughter with beauty. Recommended if you are interested in dark anime.

Wow, short tape, quick results!

This tape is the perfect length. Don't worry that it seems short, (you'll appreciate that when your child asks to re-watch 100 times!). I could not get my two year old son to even try to sit on the potty until he saw this video. He watched it and immediately ran down the hall and wanted to sit on the potty and sing the potty song!

Leisa Hart's FitMama: Prenatal Workout - movie DVD cover picture
very entertaining, informative, and motivating

Leisa Hart's upbeat, smooth delivery is so good. I just bought her FitMama Postnatal videos, as well as her FitToTheCore videos, and when I read a recent review here I thought I had to finally add mine. Hart is definitely not an annoying Denise Austin or fruity Richard Simmons type, she is a straight forward, calm, positive, upbeat instructive. Her belly is so big in just workout it's amazing how good she moves. Now, the workout is not advanced level, and it shouldn't be. It's for women to stay in shape, or maintain a certain level during pregnancy, you can't be doing high intensity workouts while pregnanct. Hart's salsa dance is not repetitive and the music is not boring, its not top 40, but its good prego music. The yoga was great to tone and stretch and Hart is by far superior to other instructors that have attempted pregnancy videos(ie, Denise Austin or Kathy Smith). She is likable and genuine, not fake or wishy washy like Richard Simmons or Denise Austin. This workout has modifications that you can use, and Hart is always telling you safety cues that are improtant during pregnancy. I was absolutely blown away by her good charm and attitude, and my husband noticed a difference in my last pregnancy, my attitude was better and my stamina was better, and I owe it to Leisa Hart and her FitMama workout. I intend to buy most of her video workouts and stick with it, as she is motivating and has a body I'd like, and with good nutrition and good guidance, I just might get there.

He Gets By With A Little Help From His Friends

In an effort to support Landis in his legal tribulations, a glittering array of Hollywood heavyweight directors and actors, with a rock star thrown in, toil as bit players and extras to make a manic movie with ultra-dry wit and tongue-in-cheek dialogue. Goldblum and Pfeiffer play their roles a little subdued compared to what is going on around them. It all makes for a well-constructed comedy that became an instant cult favorite. The more times the viewer sees it the more nuances and cameos jump out. Highly recommended!

Best Stevie Ray DVD to own

This DVD captures Stevie Ray in 1983, when his career was just starting to take off. Unlike the other live Stevie Ray DVD (Live in Austin Texas), this is one complete show, and not broken up into different time periods. This DVD captures Stevie Ray and Double Trouble ripping through classics that would become live show staples in their future concerts ("Voodoo Chile", "Pride and Joy", Texas Flood", etc.). The sound quality and camera work are top notch, and the extras (Discography, Posthumous 1999 interview with Double Trouble about Stevie Ray, Lyrics, etc.) are all done well. I own all of the Stevie Ray DVD's (Live in Austin, El Mocambo, SRV Box Set, Tribute to Stevie Ray) and overall, I think this is the best Stevie Ray DVD to own for his fans.

A MUST see for all Poison fans

Poison is at it again...amazing everyone with their die hard performances. This DVD is a compilation of their BEST videos as well as Bret discussing his personal feelings about his fellow band members, some ex-band members, and his passion for rock and roll. This is a wonderful, personal taste of what Poison is all about. Anyone who loves Poison would LOVE this DVD. This is one of the best projects that they have put together for their fans. Once you see this DVD you will be reminded of their loyalty to all of us who have loved them since the 80's. We are the reason they do what they do!! My Poison collection would not be complete without it.

Sex and the City - The Complete First Season - movie DVD cover picture

Although I did not begin watching Sex and the City at the beginning of the first season, I have seen a few of these episodes before and I could watch them over and over again. I have also read the book by Candace Bushnell after becoming a huge fan of the show and I loved it as well. The person in charge of casting is simply brilliant (and fabulous!) Keep up the fabulous work. PS. Love, love, love...Chris Noth!!!

Licence To Kill (Special Edition) - movie DVD cover picture
Give Dalton a break

"Licence to Kill" while not based on an actuall Ian Fleming book, is closer in spirit than any Bond movie in a long time. James Bond (Timothy Dalton) gose on a personal vendetta against a drug lord who nearly kills his buddy Felix Lighter. Bond acts more on emotion (specificly rage) and gose rouge away from MI6. His allies are a DEA agent (pre-'Law and Order' Corey Lowell) and the bad guys girl (Talisa Soto), and (a welcome addition) Q (Desmond Llewelyn). The bad guys include Robert Davi as a Noriaga like drug lord, one of the best villians at this point in years; Benecio Del Toro (long before he got famous), and Wayne Newton (huh?). Timothy Dalton gets a lot of crap about being the worst Bond ever, I disagree; I think he did a good job. His Bond was younger, colder, and much more dangorous that Roger Moore ever was. I don't know what people's problem was with him. I wish he could have done more Bond movies. 'Licence' was much more violent and meaner in tone than other Bonds, and I liked that to, it is more in keeping with the books.
