Killadelphia- Lamb of God at their best

This is probably one of the best music dvds i've watched. The live show is great and you get to see what its really like to be part of the band, the good days, and the fights. Stacks of extras, including soundchecks where the band go through the gear they use and show you how to play parts of their songs. Highly recommend to any Lamb of God fan.

The Lion King II: Simba's Pride (Limited Issue) - movie DVD cover picture
The Future Queen of the Pridelands

This video starts off with the usual previews and immediately goes into the story with fast paced action. The music is great and I turn the volume up while my five-year old points out the various animals in the Pride Lands waiting for the appearance of the new cub. There are deer, elephants and zebras along with the lions.

Lion King II Simba's Pride is about the journey through the circle of life for these animals. There are funny parts in the movie with Timon and Pumbaa, the characters that we have seen from their cable show on the Disney channel.

Simba's Pride is a movie that was made for video only. The animation is superb with the sounds of the lions roar first rate. The sibling rivalry between Kovu and his older brother who constantly refers to Kovu as a termite is funny and pathetic at times.

While viewing this video you will learn the plans of the Badlanders who feel like outsiders and see Simba as the one who killed Scar their leader. At first the two cubs were playing around in the water being chased by Crocodiles and they realize who the other is once they get out of the water.

There are five songs in Lion King II Simba's Pride with drama and excitement in each one of them. It is a great story of getting along and letting go of old battle scars.

The story line has the siblings, parents, and the young ones all developing relationships within the Pride Lands along with the silly antics of Timon and Pumbaa.

The movie will lift you up making you want to turn up the volume and tap your feet as well as sitting on the edge of your seat.

Perfect Scary Movie, and NOT Overrated

This was one of the best horror movies I've seen. In this movie the alien evolves into at least four different forms. The last few weren't realistic. They got worse starting from the first one. The suspence was held for much longer than other movies. You know that something's going to surprise you, but when it comes, it gives you an appalling shock. I recommend not to see this movie alone!!

It is amazing how wonderful Peter Jackson and his crew made these films come together. They really helped me grow and love LOTR. It's amazing how much hard work was put into these films and I think it showed in the end. I think they have done a fantastic job creating the wonderful beloved story onto film. Nobody could ever do it better. I highly recomend watching these films and reading the books.

Underworld (Full Screen Special Edition) - movie DVD cover picture

Kate Beckinsdale is a vampire "death dealer" who just takes it out on lycans (read:werewolves) in this dark gothed out city. When it becomes clear that the wolves are stalking a human for some reason, she defies her annoying, sexually harrassing, vaguely trent reznor looking, vampire boss and investigates on her own to find that the wolves are trying to make a vampire/wolf hybrid and royally piss off all the old racist vampire types.Everything bad you've heard about this film is true. So is everything good you've heard. It really depends on a) You being able to suspend your disbelief mightily even within well-worn vampiric film conventions b) being able to put up with exceptionally crappy werewolf CG effects and c) getting past some of the worst acting in a modern hollywood release recently, including the normally charming Kate Beckinsdale in the lead role, who just looks bored and faintly embarrassed to be reading these lines. Really though, we've seen much worse crap than this in horror/action crossovers and despite the above-listed major problems, there are some genuinely fun moments, to laugh at if nothing else. I thought it was hysterical that thrown out as an afterthought at one point, it is mentioned that vampires don't really drink from humans anymore but subsist on artifical plasma. Not that the factoid advances the plot in any way, but I'm sure some exec hand wrote it in there because how else are you gonna make a crowd sympathetic to a man-killing female vampire? "Underworld" won't start any new players to White Wolf's "World of Darkness" RPG's (of which this has been accused rightly I believe of ripping off) but it's not gonna make you despise it either. It actually gave me some hope. See, it made some halfway decent money apparently. Perhaps now with more money spent on actors, CG, and script, a sequel set in this world could turn out to be quite entertaining. So, I'm a relentless optimist when it comes to vampires, so sue me.

KOR the best!!!

Kimagure Orange Road - rate one of the best animation. It has a 48-episodes TV series, 8 OVA and 1 movie (finish the series) that is complete/done during the 80s. The story is a story about three high-school students caught in a love-triangle, a story that swings between being a light-hearted comedy and a touching bittersweet drama. It all starts when the Kasuga Kyousuke, whoes family have ESP'ers power, move to a new neighbourhood where falls in love with the local "tough girl" Ayukawa Madoka at first sight. Unfortunately, Ayukawa's best childhood friend Hiyama Hikaru takes a liking to Kyousuke, claiming him as her "darling"! Kyousuke, in his indecisiveness cannot reject Hikaru, and so he tries to pursue ayukawa without hurting Hikaru. Thus, the triangle is created...
The new movie New (or Shin) Kimagure Orange Road take place about 3 years after the first movie, after Kyousuke finally break up with Hikaru (who go to US to study dance after that event) and go out with Ayukawa (It's all happen in the first movie). When one morning Kyousuke got a telephone call from "himself" from the future and warm him about being hit by a car. Due to the family ESP'er power, ee was sending to the future where everyone all grows up. During his seach for a way back, he heard the news about the future self being kill in the middle east. Also, he come across the future Hikaru who come back from America. What will happen between them? Is the old feeling still there? Will the 3 of them go back to the way that they use to be? What about the Kyousuke "future", why is he in Middle east and how he got killed? It all explains it in the movie.
For those of you didn't see the series and the first movie. I will say, Watch the series and the movie. It is the BEST series ever made. For those of you have knowledge of the KOR, you can notice that this is not the original artist work. It is actually a work that base on the Shin KOR novel and with the co-op with the original artist. So you can see the style is different. Hope you all enjoy it.

Robocop - Criterion Collection - movie DVD cover picture
A Sci-Fi Masterpiece

Even though I was a child of the 80's (born '83), I never got around to watching Robocop until 2000, even though I had heard of it.
The movie simply blew me away! I was expecting a b-flick with a robot walking around shooting people.
This movie happens to have one of the most unique stories ever written. I wasn't expecting it to have one, and I was pleasently suprised.
The Robocop costume is one of the coolest things I have seen in a film. The director even went so far as to hire an advisor to tell Peter Weller (Murphy/Robocop) how to move properly as a robot.
There is excellent acting all-around, a very unique score, and some of the best special effects in any movie.
Did I mention the violence? This movie is one of the most gory films ever made, and the Criterion version adds to that. However, the violence in the movie is realistic (what do you expect when a man is shot to pieces with four 20mm cannons?)
I've watched this movie at least ten times, and I watched it three consective days when I initially rented it. I wanted the criterion version badly (It's hard to watch the other editions when you have already seen the director's cut) ...

His Majesty the Scarecrow of Oz - movie DVD cover picture
Baum's Oz on Film

I found this...and bought it, and I didn't regret it! I loved it. I raised myself on Baum's Oz stories, and this is one that he made himself. This movie is an original story that Baum wrote using his Oz characters, and later, story plots from this movie were used in his book, "The Scarecrow of Oz" - most notably the story of Princess Gloria and Pon, the Gardener's son and King Krewl. Dorothy features prominently in the story, though we're not told how she gets to Oz. Mombie is the witch, instead of Blinkie in the book. Other Oz characters that appear are Button Bright, the Tin Woodman, the Cowardly Lion, the Wizard, the Sawhorse, a Winged Monkey, and (I think) Hank the Mule. The music is really "Ozzy," and I really enjoyed it. It's a silent film, but the narration cards are read by an actress who does a pretty good job. The special effects are pretty impressive for its time. The is a scene reminiscent of "The Wizard of Oz" book, where the Scarecrow, pushing a raft, gets stuck on the pole. He slides down underwater, and the underwater affects surprised me for such an old film. There are fish swimming around, and even a mermaid makes an appearance. I also liked they way they showed Princess Gloria getting her heart frozen by Mombie and her fellow witches that she summons. At one point, they even take off flying on their brooms, which looked really awesome! The costumes and makeup are also exellent. Dorothy wears the same dress and bow style that she does in John R. Neill's illustrations. The Tin Woodman's costume is a little funky, but is ok. I was impressed with how well the Scarecrow's makeup and clothes hold up in water. Mombie looks like The Witch of the West and Neill's Blinkie in the book. Princess Gloria is beautiful and looks like a wistful Fairy princess. The animal costumes were very kewl. I especially like Hank the Mule's costume, and enjoyed seeing him fight off Mombie. There's also other really nice pices of detail, like the little "Oz" pieces on the Sawhorse's bridle, which he has in Neill's illustrations. There were also some very funny parts, like the Scarecrow discovering water and playing in a stream, to the dismay of Dorothy and Button Bright. They even had the Wall of Water, which was interestingly done with camera angles. There is also a Little Rascals short on the disk about Alfalfa fighting a masked wrestler that's funny as well. But if you're looking for Baum's Oz, then this is for you.
