Absolutely the best

This must be my all-time favorite. I think this is the scarriest film I have ever seen. Not in a way you fall out of your chair suddenly, but it was constantly scary. The hotel is totally empty (except for the family) and very quiet, but sometimes there are a lot of people, dancing and drinking. These imaginations are worked out really good. If you haven't seen this film yet, go kick yourself and make sure you see this film ASAP!

Only a 3 * average?...

This movie is the funniest thing I have ever seen. See, some guy whacks (kills) a prostitute...Okay, grim start, but wait until you see everything they go through to try to cover it up!DO NOT let the kids watch it, it contains the sickest humor, blood, gore, sex, nudity, and they use 'the "F-" word' more than they say "a, an" or "the" combined, and kids wouldn't get why 99% of it is so funny anyway. But if you are 18+, this movie is so outrageously hilarious, you'll be laughing well after it's over.

The year's most underrated film

This is a great action movie - it has a plot, a point and a human element that adds to the drama. The chemistry between Matt Damon and Franka Potente is amazing, and who knew sweet little Matt could kick ass AND be a romantic lead?! The action is exciting without being full of gore, and you actually care about how things turn out for Jason Bourne, who seems to be a good guy in a bad situation. The dialogue and the plot are entirely realistic despite the somewhat exotic idea of a trained assassin with amnesia.

Worth seeing, one of Truffaut's best

One of Truffaut's most ambitious and explicit films. Exquisitely photographied, superbly played. Not as good as "Jules et Jim", but definitely a must see if you are a Truffaut fan.

The best monster series ever.

If you think this is the best, wait for Gamera3, that movie has some of the best cg I've ever seen in this type of movie, with a compelling story too. It's terrific that Gamera2 is finally coming out in America, I knew there was a reason I didn't buy the bootleg on ebay. The great thing about Gamera (besides the excellent effects) is that it's a monster movie that you can take seriously, it doesn't go for the cheap and cheesy thrills like most of the Godzilla films, but wraps up the impressive action in a compelling story. This is definitely one of the most fun movies I've seen, and thank god it comes with a Japanese language track on the dvd.

A great movie about one of the worst days in U.S. history

Tora! Tora! Tora! was historically accurate in every aspect but the death toll. The attack on Pearl Harbor, "A day that will live in infamy" (FDR), cost America 2,400 men. The movie depicted the American government ignoring the many warning signs that were seen. It also depicted the true surprise of the Japanese attack on the American Pacific forces in Pearl Harbor. This is a must for anyone who loves history.

What Bothers Me...

If you've come to this page, and are reading this review because you really want something to laugh at, then you need read no further. Just go ahead - buy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the laugh-until-you-cry film that's guaranteed to have you rolling on the floor for hours. But if you're skeptical, that's OK, just keep reading and maybe you'll discover why this timeless movie is without a doubt one of the best comedies ever created.
I suppose the primary aspect of this film that makes it so funny is that overall, the actors perform their laughable parts with utter sternness. You will wonder: how is it possible to say that without laughing? And you're guaranteed to enjoy scenes of the movie countless times, including the fight with the Black Knight, Caerbannog the seemingly "harmless little bunny," the cartoon "Black Beast of Arrrghhh," and of course the French taunting and the Trojan Rabbit. When you're done with the film, you'll definitely want to see the extras, which includes a scene in Lego, a scene in Japanese, behind-the-scenes commentaries, and my favorite, "How To Use Your Coconuts" - a "documentary" on how they used coconuts instead of horses. There's no doubt that this DVD is worth your money - so don't waste any time, just buy it... along with "a shubbery"!
